Faithful Feasting: Feasting with Zacchaeus (October 25, 2026)

Feasting with Zacchaeus Questions: Zacchaeus was willing to climb a tree just to get a glimpse of Jesus, but eventually he had to come down and encounter Him personally. What barriers, pride, habits, or past experiences might be keeping you from fully stepping into the presence of Jesus? What would it look like for you to come down from that place?Zacchaeus didn't just welcome Jesus into his home; his encounter with Jesus changed how he handled his wealth, relationships, and responsibilities. If someone looked at your daily decisions, priorities, finances, and relationships, what evidence would they see that you've encountered Jesus? Is there something you need to make right? In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus often spends time telling stories and sharing wisdom around the table. To invite Jesus to dinner is to guarantee the conversational menu will be both unpredictable and nourishing…at least for those who need the food he offers. When Jesus is confronted with his own hunger, he responds with these words in the wilderness: “It is written: ‘Man does not live by bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God’” (Matthew 4:4). Feasting with Jesus and with each other matters. “It’s about what happens when we come together, slow down, open our homes, look into one another’s faces, listen to one another’s stories.” –Shauna Niequist, Bread and Wine This fall we will “feast” our way through Luke’s Gospel as we sit down with Jesus to be nourished and filled. We’ll celebrate communion each week. For those up for the challenge, we’ll be setting the table for a few meals together.

Faithful Feasting: Feasting with 5,000 (September 20, 2026)

Feasting with 5,000 Questions: In Luke 9:10-17, Jesus asks his disciples to participate with him in the miracle by feeding the people. Have you experienced God using you in seemingly impossible situations for His glory? If so, how did that experience change you or grow your faith? Our God is a God of abundant provision. After feeding 5,000 men (maybe 10,000+ people), there are 12 baskets of leftovers. Jesus leaves us with more than enough. Ask him today what little thing you can bring to Him that he can use to share the abundance of his love with you and those around you.
