Season 2, Episode 7: The Tables Turn- SEASON FINALE

This episode contains fictional depictions and discussions of psychological abuse, coercive control, torture, violence, emotional distress, and mental health conditions. Some scenes and descriptions may be disturbing or emotionally difficult for some listeners. Listener discretion is advised. The story of 346 Hollow Chase ends here. On September 23, 2018, Evangeline Sarkisian is already looking for her next victims. With nearly everyone connected to the building gone, she is determined to rebuild the control she once had. But an unexpected phone call from Gretchen changes everything. Evangeline learns that the people around her are onto the operation at 346 Hollow Chase. Instead of panicking, she does what she has always done best: manipulate the situation. She convinces Gretchen that the people trying to save her are actually the ones she needs to fear. Meanwhile, Evangeline begins preparing for what she believes will be her next opportunity to recruit new followers. Sarah Jade is missing, Jedediah has disappeared, and the police are closing in. Yet Evangeline remains convinced that she can talk her way out of what is coming. On Tuesday, September 25, 2018, Gretchen walks into 346 Hollow Chase wearing a wire, prepared to help police finally expose Evangeline. At its core, this season has asked a difficult question: What happens when two people can experience the same events and walk away with completely different realities? There is my reality. There is your reality. And somewhere between them is the reality where life, death, and everything in between actually happen. That idea will continue to shape Vaso & Vibes as the story moves forward. Season Three is coming soon. But first, join me next week for a special discussion episode that steps outside the serialized story. It will be more conversational, less case-focused, and unlike anything else you've heard on the podcast. Then, after a short break, we begin the next season.

Season 2, Episode 6: The Intervention

This episode contains fictional depictions and discussions of psychological abuse, coercive control, torture, violence, self-harm, emotional distress, and mental health conditions. Some scenes and descriptions may be disturbing or emotionally difficult for some listeners. Listener discretion is advised. At 346 Hollow Chase, the body count is now up to five, and there will be one more corpse before this nightmare ends. In this episode, the tension rises as the race to save Gretchen from Evangeline ramps up, and Sam and the detective have a trick up their sleeve. Surprise guests enter the picture as the duo try to convince Gretchen that the "therapy" she has been receiving from Evangeline is actually abuse--and that her next session...may be her last. Meanwhile, Sarah Jade has escaped Evangeline's cult and boarded a cross-country train, thinking she is finally safe from the terrors of 346 Hollow Chase. But she doesn't realize that someone has been following her. Who is it, and more importantly...who intercepts? This episode explores Borderline Personality Disorder, emotional dysregulation, trauma, manipulation, abuse, and the medical clues hiding within multiple subjects' deteriorating compositions. Because as nurses, we know that understanding the disease process can help us understand what, perhaps, is really going on with this story. And just when things seem like they're falling into place... ...the phone rings. Listen to Episode 6 of the Vaso & Vibes: a psychological thriller packed with nursing clues, true-crime-inspired storytelling, dark mystery, suspense, and a surprise ending. This episode contains references to illicit drug use, torture and violence. Listener discretion strongly advised. On the evening of June 29, 2018, a gentleman named Keith was sitting in his basement, playing guitar and just…hanging out with his wife and a few of their friends. They were laughing, singing their favorite songs, and you know, just enjoying the start to what they anticipated would be a fun and low-key weekend. It was Friday, and none of them had to work until Monday. Then suddenly, something that, to this point, had felt like no big deal—changed. Something shifted. Keith felt his heart racing. His skin felt cold and clammy, and the general feeling of malaise he had been feeling seemed to...just…hit him all at once. I’m Leslie, and this is Vaso & Vibes: A Nursing Thriller Podcast. This episode contains references to illicit drug use, torture and violence. Listener discretion strongly advised. But they’re upstairs cleaning the Torture Boutique, and the new girl stops wiping the floor, looks up at Jailbird, and goes: “Have you ever thought about…leaving?” Now Jailbird pauses, sighs, then looks away, toward the window. “You mean…stealing away.” She pauses again, then continues. “As in, escaping. But keep your mouth shut. The walls have ears.” And Jailbird was right. The walls did, in fact, have ears. And on that Saturday, August 11, 2018, when Jailbird stepped onto the back patio for a quick carrot smoke-break, she found herself in yet another precarious situation. As if a stroke of Deja Vu’s magic wand came down upon her, yet another body mysteriously falls from the sky and onto the back patio. Another bloody and cracked skull belonging to another young woman who would never get justice. The new girl. I’m Leslie, and this is Vaso & Vibes: A Nursing Thriller Podcast.
