Madelyn Moon on Expression, Energy, and Holding Your Dreams

Madelyn Moon has been building her own thing since she was eighteen. Health coaching, then eating disorder recovery, life coaching, relationship coaching, a book called Artist of Love, and now somatic facilitation, shamanic and medicine work, and training other facilitators. Right now she’s in a big transition: moving from nineteen years of constant launching and visibility into something quieter and more inward, and getting ready for the possibility of motherhood. We get into why she stopped teaching about relationships, and what happened when she did. Her idea that most people don’t need more self-care, they need more capacity. How energy gets drained by everything we’re hooked into, from old emotional reactions to the pressure to look a certain way. Why she has women at her Unbound intensive hold their arms over their heads for twenty minutes, and what holding an uncomfortable pose teaches you about setting a boundary or putting on the event you keep putting off. And how she went from shaky early YouTube videos to being completely at ease on camera. Dodge also shares where he’s at: three years past a divorce and a major awakening, building a business and a family, and trying to keep the artist in him alive. Madelyn’s advice for anyone stuck creatively is simple: aim for a messy first draft, and start within the next three days. Her one piece of advice for anyone at the beginning of their own awakening: express what’s been repressed. Find Madelyn on Instagram at Madelyn Moon and at maddymoon.com. Don't Seek Calm, Seek Range: Stefanie Faye on Neuroscience,

Stefanie Faye has studied the brain from almost every angle. Human behavior and communication in intelligence work, brain scans at NYU, time living alongside monks in the lineage of Thich Nhat Hanh, brain mapping in clinics and high-performance centers, nervous system training for FBI crisis counselors, and now leading a platform at MIT focused on neuroscience and human flourishing. Her central idea runs against most of what we're told about regulation: the goal isn't to stay calm, it's to have range. We get into why no single tool works every time, why distraction is sometimes exactly the right move, and why setting a boundary or chasing an opportunity might require more activation, not less. We talk about the cost of gripping too tightly to expectations, how letting go actually shows up in your brainwaves, and why time in nature, away from the constant micro-decisions of a screen, changes what your brain is doing. We also cover how she reaches skeptical rooms by describing instead of prescribing, what's happening in a child's brain during a meltdown and how a parent can hold the line while still offering comfort, what her MIT research is asking about AI and human agency, and how she keeps AI from doing too much of her own thinking. Her answer to where change actually starts is simple: awareness that your brain can change. It takes more effort the older we get, but that effort is the signal that it's working. Find Stefanie at stefaniefaye.com, through her daily email articles, and on the Mindset Neuroscience Podcast. 8 Out of 10 Peptides Never Touch a Pharmacy: Chris Adlakha, PharmD, on What's Really in Your Vial

Chris Adlakha is a pharmacist and the owner of Grand Avenue Pharmacy in Austin, and he's spent fifteen years in compounding. He's also one of the few pharmacies Dodge trusts and works with, and we're upfront about that in the conversation. His claim is that most peptides people are using right now never came through a pharmacy. He says eight out of ten come from research-only sellers with no chain of custody, no prescription, and nobody checking. We get into what actually happens before a peptide reaches your fridge. Why "FDA registered" doesn't mean a facility has ever been inspected. Why a potency test on its own tells you very little. How cheap raw material gets padded out with fillers to hit the number on the label. Why "provider use only" is the same thing as research-only. And what patients and providers should actually be asking a pharmacy before they trust it. Then it gets personal. Chris went from a Walgreens job he hated to a 3,000 square foot pharmacy funded by his dad's retirement money, closing midday so he could go knock on doctors' doors himself. He talks about nearly shutting it all down, the mentors who pulled him out, a divorce along the way, pivoting through COVID, and building a team of 140 people who are paid well because he believes a good culture is worth it. Now they're moving into a 40,000 square foot facility. His advice for anyone weighing a big leap: take the risk, ask for help, and never trade your integrity for a quick win. This conversation is about how compounded medications are made and sourced. It's not medical advice. Any decision about peptides, GLP-1s, or other compounded medications belongs with a licensed provider and a pharmacy you can verify.#BiologyOfBecoming #ChrisAdlakha #GrandAvenuePharmacy #CompoundingPharmacy #Peptides #Entrepreneurship #Longevity #Podcast #WayOfLifeWellness

Bugs Over Drugs: Dr. Grace Liu on Healing the Gut Microbiome We've Nearly Made Extinct

Dr. Grace Liu, PharmD, is known as the gut goddess for a reason. She runs The Gut Institute, where she works to rebuild what she calls our extinct microbiome, the keystone bacteria most people have lost entirely without ever knowing it was there. Her core philosophy is bugs over drugs. Modern life, from over-sanitized homes to the overuse of things marketed as biohacks, has wiped out huge portions of our gut flora, and she believes that loss is quietly behind a huge share of the chronic fatigue, brain fog, mood disorders, and body composition issues she sees every day. We get into what centenarian populations still have that most of us don't, why testing the gut often has to wait until after initial healing, and the specific bacteria she considers the missing keystones, particularly one linked to brain health, mood, and even neuroprotection in newborns. We talk about how peptides and probiotics work together to speed up gut repair, why some popular longevity supplements can actually damage the microbiome over time, and how gut health connects to nearly everything else in the body, from hormones and prostate health to mold illness and cognitive function. Grace also shares her own health story, years of chronic fatigue, autoimmune disease, and mold exposure that she worked through herself before building her practice and her own probiotic line, Microbiome Mojo. This conversation goes deep into specific peptide protocols, dosing, and product names based on Grace and Dodge's own clinical and personal experience. It's not medical advice. Any decision about probiotics, peptides, or gut protocols belongs with your own provider, based on your own testing. Find Dr. Grace Liu and her work at thegutinstitute.com. Progesterone Is Your Body's Benzodiazepine: Dr. Elena Zinkov on Getting Hormone Replacement Right

Dr. Elena Zinkov is a naturopathic physician who's spent her career in women's hormone health, working with more than 20,000 patients through perimenopause and beyond. She's spent years undoing one myth, that hormones are dangerous, and now she's watching medicine swing hard into a new one: hormones for everyone, without ever testing first. We get into what actually goes into a real HRT plan. Why she still tests baseline hormones even though they fluctuate in perimenopause, and why "we don't need to test" is one of the most dangerous sentences a provider can say. How growth hormone, one of the first hormones to decline starting in your twenties, gets overlooked next to estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. Why the same dose of progesterone can be life-changing for one woman and miserable for another, and why patience with the process matters more than most people are told. And her two best metaphors of the hour: progesterone as your body's own benzodiazepine, and estrogen as your brain's Wi-Fi signal. We also talk about her own health story, two autoimmune conditions that showed up after having her son, and how a meditation practice she'd had since she was fifteen is what actually pointed her toward getting her own hormones tested. And her real philosophy underneath all of it: not chasing an extreme number on a longevity chart, but having the energy to actually show up for the people in her life. This conversation includes specific dosing and protocol details from Dr. Zinkov's own clinical experience. It's not medical advice, and any hormone or peptide decision belongs with your own provider, based on your own labs. Find Dr. Elena Zinkov on Instagram and at drlenazinkov.com. It's Just Hot Air Without Capacity: Preston Smiles on Building a Life You Can Actually Hold

Preston Smiles has spent the last twenty years building what he calls capacity: the nervous system and emotional infrastructure to actually hold the life you say you want. He's the co-founder of The Bridge Experience, a somatic, nervous-system-based workshop running worldwide for a decade, and he's coached Dodge through it directly. We get into his own long road there. Years of giving away his gift for free before a single viral video turned into a paid keynote in Australia, the proof of what he calls "success occurs when preparation meets opportunity." Married ten years, together thirteen, four kids, four businesses, and honest about the version of him that was broke for most of the years he was doing the work. We talk about a video of his that went viral, a message about people chasing ceremony after ceremony, hearing the same clear guidance every time, and never actually acting on it. His point isn't against the medicine. It's about what happens after, or doesn't. We get into what he calls eldership versus just getting older, why he and his family are moving to homeschooling, his read on modern masculinity versus the performance of it, and where materialism fits into a life built on abundance instead of scarcity. The most personal moment of the hour is his son's home birth, the moment he calls the clearest experience of God he's ever had. Preston shares strong personal views throughout on religion, politics, and his own experience with plant medicine and psychedelics. Those are his views and his lived experience, not medical, religious, or political advice from the show. Sold Three Homes to Build This: Jarred Curcio on Muscle, Mindset, and Betting Everything on Himself

Jarred Curcio was 300 pounds by his freshman year of college with no direction and no plan. He turned it around one week at a time, eventually winning a natural bodybuilding championship, then spent over a decade building sales teams and sales training programs in corporate America. Then he walked away from all of it, sold three homes, and bet everything on building his own thing. We get into the framework he built from that leap: Muscle, Mindset, Mission, and how it became The Focus Room, the self-mastery center he's opening in East Austin. What it actually cost to sell the houses and trust the process without a guaranteed outcome. His rule for how he runs every part of his business, give value first and let the rest follow. Stoic Sundays, the free meditation group he's run every other week for the last year and a half, just for the sake of showing up. And the twenty-plus year relationship with his wife Caitlin that's carried him through all of it, with plans for her to eventually leave her own career and build the gym alongside him. We also get into where he lands on faith. Raised Catholic, drifted into atheism, and found his way back to something real through meditation, grief after losing his father, and experiences he's still making sense of. That's his own lived experience and belief system, not a claim about anyone else's. Find Jarred on Instagram @JarredCurcio, at thefocusroomatx.com, or join Stoic Sundays, free and open, every other Sunday in East Austin. You Are Worth It: Amanda Le on Sobriety, Hormones, and Turning Your Life Around at Any Age

Amanda Le has spent most of her life fighting things nobody could see from the outside. Autoimmune disease since childhood, a body that never quite worked right, and an addiction that ran in her family and nearly took over her own life too. She's coming up on five years sober, feels better at almost fifty than she ever has, and wants every woman listening to know the same thing is possible for them. We get into what it actually took to get sober: growing up watching her father drink himself to death, years as a binge drinker in a culture that rewarded it, and the night she asked God to just let her stop, then woke up and realized He had. We talk about the autoimmune disease she carried most of her life and the hormone work that finally turned it around. The routines and structure she leans on to protect her peace. Why she's fiercely protective of her small circle. And the meditation practice she taught herself as a kid with severe ADHD, before she had a name for any of it. Amanda is candid about hormone therapy and peptide protocols that have been part of her own health journey. This is her personal experience, not medical advice, and any decision about hormones or peptides belongs with your own provider. If you've ever thought it's too late to turn your health or your life around, this conversation is proof otherwise.
