Watch Your Mouth: Behind Your Back

(Proverbs 18:19-21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and most of that power gets used when the person isn't there to hear it. We know what gossip does. Here's the question nobody asks: what if you started speaking life about people behind their backs, and this became the church where being talked about is a good thing?

Watch Your Mouth: Say It Before It's Too Late

Say It Before It's Too Late (Colossians 3:12-17) I love you. I'm sorry. I forgive you. I'm proud of you. Paul tells the church to put on compassion and kindness like clothes, and most of those only become real when somebody says them out loud. Withholding a good word is its own kind of damage, and somebody near you is in a drought.

Why the church still matters: You're lonelier than you've ever been

In a world of algorithms, isolation, and endless noise, does church still matter? More than ever. This six-week series makes the unapologetic case for why showing up, sitting in a room with other people, and giving your time and energy isn’t just worth it. It might be the most countercultural thing you do all week.

Becoming Good Soil: Fruit that lasts

This summer we're getting the ground ready. Not the building, us. Five weeks on becoming the kind of church where a new person can take root and stay, paired with a joint Sunday school hospitality class. We were freed for one another, God breaks up the hard ground in us, we learn to see the people we look past, we tend a person so they stay, and the welcomed become the welcomers.
