Who cares what society says? Do you have something to say? Either society is judging or you are explaining your choices. In this podcast I talk about how I have navigated both sides of this as a woman in her mid 30s who is also single (for now) and south asian (forever). We bring in folks who also have something to say about a variety of topics in an attempt to remove the stigma of talking about things that make us uncomfortable.  Everyone has something to say!

    Ep 10: "Body Image & Conscious Health" with Dee Gautham

    Whether it's the holiday season or not, we all have something to say about our own bodies.  I know I have struggled a lot and continue to have my days where I struggle with how I see myself. But overall I'd like to think I'm pretty healthy - but so much of physical health is also mental.  Founder, Trainer and Nutrition Coach, Dee Gautham of the Boss Body Revolution (or BBR) joined me to chat about body image and various conscious health choices we can all be making. I personally was a member of BBR years ago and I am still using the same practices and principles I learned in my coaching with them.  Dee really spills the tea and we have SO much to say about navigating the self hatred we can face and the ways Auntys can push food on us.     Ep 09: "Why women are..."

    Last episode we asked, "why are men..?" Today we talk about "why women are..." As a woman who dates men, there are a few things I realized about myself and I've experienced certain men asking me the kinds of questions that get me thinking about the kind of response I give now. Why I am the way I am and where it must have come from. And why am I not the ONLY one  even though my life has its singular experiences.  This episode could help men and women understand each other.  Men - why women can be tough nuts to crack. But if you see something special, speak your feelings, exhibit patience and understand that following her lead might result in her opening up to you taking the lead...you just might win her heart. Women - we get it. Right? We "have to be tough." But it IS exhausting to be tough ALL the time. What WOULD happen if we make space for a man to be the man? (And don't get mad at me for that!     Ep 08: "Why are men...?" with Chetan (ft. Utkarsh)

    Women want to know! WHY ARE MEN...? Why are they the way they are? How can we understand them? Do they even understand themselves?  I had some burning questions and I had the ONLY man whose opinions I trust join me - my brother, Chetan!     Ep 07: The Situation with Situationships

    If you have dated at all, you have most likely ended up in a "situationship" at some point. I know I did - and I actually loved it.  I don't know if it was because I was "the problem" or my particular situation was just very ideal but I learned a great deal about myself and what the final push was to figure out what it was I wanted out of a romantic partnership.  This episode covers my particular situationship and how it taught me so much about myself. I am not saying to "go pursue a situationship" but if you have been in one or maybe are in one, find the lessons in that!  Have you had a situationship you actually enjoyed?

    Ep 06: "Waiting Isn't Wasted" with Vaidehi Patel

    Just 2 single gals in their mid 30s talking around the "grief" of the life we thought we'd have by now. Except we're not THAT sad about it! Vaidehi Patel (@lifeofvaidehi) is the host of "Chai and Chemistry" on the Single to Shaadi Podcast Network and we've podcasted together before. It's been a year since we have come to know about each other and we touch on how podcasting has been therapeutic and almost helped us find our peace in our singledom. That doesn't mean we WANT to be single - but we are in agreement that while it has felt tough, the waiting has not been wasted.  We live full lives and know there's another life we want that is just down the road.     Ep 05: Believing is Believing

    This episode is for the ones who have a hard time believing.  It could be related to anything...love, career, sense of self. It's really easy to SAY you believe that you deserve the best. But when the best comes to you, are you able to accept it? Or do you end up doubting it? While I have learned to believe in myself better than before, the old doubts always creep back in.  "What if it never happens?" "That was too easy - there must be a catch."  "When will this end? It never lasts."  There's too much noise that tells us what we should believe, but I encourage you to sit and figure out what you hear from yourself. To figure out WHY you want those things, and assess the level they are reasonable. Then stand firm!  Believing is Believing.

    Ep 04: "Becoming Ourselves" With Pooja Bhatnagar and Julie Taparia

    Do you ever wish you had all the answers to what you needed to do for your life? Or maybe why you are the way you are? Over the years I've become a fan of astrology since it has helped me figure out what kinds of things I can expect for my life. Especially when I feel like I'm "doing all the right things" otherwise.  Recently I've discovered human Design and how that can also help me understand my best self so I can really listen to my body and what I need to do to feel internally nourished by my actions.  My conversation with Pooja and Julie was so informative on both topics and I really look forward to seeing what you learn too!     Ep 03: "Speaking of Growth..."

    WE. LOVE. GROWTH.  I do not wish I was any younger than I am today because of the kinds of growth I have faced that makes me a better version of myself today, than I was yesterday.  In this episode I go into various areas of growth: friendships, family, and romantic. We even have a special gust chiming in to cover an element I don't have experience of! If you're feeling stuck in any sort of relationship where the folks around you simply cannot understand you, I hope all I have to say here helps you find some peace.

    We have THE Aparna Shewakramani on the pod! We definitely talk about Indian Matchmaking and how she is depicted as 'unlikable' for having standards and how having standards are not flaws.
