Welcome to Same-Sex Attracted and a Christian. Now what? My name is Dennis Belkofer.  The title is my autobiography in a nutshell, because I know what it's like to be same-sex attracted and a Christian, and ask, "How do I align it with God's moral laws and creation ordinances of gender, sexuality, and marriage?"  And it's the same "now what" asked by countless Christians, not only those who are same-sex attracted.  I've recorded this podcast to share my conversion and how I was taught to biblically deal with the sinful desires that attracted me to a man, after years of confusion and struggling to find the answer. What I was taught applies to all Christians, because "all" Christians are baited by sinful desires (Galatians 5:17). I pray that this podcast will be a blessing to others, and above all, glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. From my heart to yours, Dennis.

    In this Episode I Unpack Proverbs 2:1-4 and the 2 Promises that Follow Them (v.5) - if You Implement 1-4 in Your Life. I Speak from Experience

    Send us Fan Mail When I say I speak from experience, I am not implying I am special. No way. By God's grace, I decided to pour all of me into vs. 4-5. Because through YouTube, I discovered men who teach about the fear of God and the knowledge of God in ways I had never heard before. It exposed that I was a consumer and a horizontal Christian - thinking about my needs and wanting God to meet them. These men of God talked about being a vertical Christian: to look beyond "me" and to want to know what it means to fear God and discover the knowledge of Him - all of Him, and not only as a God of love. These men stressed that all of God's attributes flow in concert with this holiness. It created a hunger in me to see vs. 5 fulfilled in my life: "Then you will discern the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God." It's a promise for all born-again believers in Jesus if we make Proverbs 2:1-4 the cry of our heart: our entire being.     In this Episode I Share how Living from the Perspective of Hebrews 10:14, Romans 6:11, and 1 John 1:5-7 is Foundational in Handling Desires of the Flesh that Pop Up Unexpectedly

    Send us Fan Mail Here is an example of a desire of the flesh that pops up unexpectedly: You're sitting in a doctor's office reading a magazine, waiting for the nurse to call your name. Something that you read triggers a memory of how someone hurt you that arouses anger and a desire to pay the person back for hurting you.  Or: what you read brings back the memory of a sexual sin you committed ten years ago. And with it come feelings of lust and wanting to gratify it. The lust lingers, and when you get home, you watch porn on your computer. You hate yourself for it. Satan is right there to condemn you and to whisper, "And you call yourself a born-again believer. Really? Who are you kidding?"     This morning, 9/23, as I Read Psalm 89, I saw it as a Call to Prodigals: thus, this Episode.

    Send us Fan Mail Psalm 89 records God's promise to David that He will establish David's throne and his descendants forever and never take His lovingkindness from them. Jesus is called the Son of David and the Son of Abraham (the father of faith) in Matt 1:1. Using Scripture, I explain what that means and why it matters to us as born-again believers in Christ - perhaps even more to prodigals. I've recorded this podcast as a call to prodigals to come back home (Luke 15:11-32).     In this Episode, I Share what Prevents me from Turning what I've Learned About Biblically Dealing with Same-Sex Attraction into a Self-Centered Formula

But I'll say this up front: my Christian life can be self-centered, not God-centered, without me realizing it - and all born-again believers in Jesus should guard against it. So, join the club.     This Morning, I Realized that my Podcast is Grounded in Core Doctrines/Theology, as it Should be. But I've Neglected Psalm 147 (below)

    Send us Fan Mail Psalm 147:3: "He heals the broken-hearted and binds up their wounds"(NASB). In my time alone with the Lord this morning, 9/18, I thought about how that verse applies to my life: brokenhearted and wounded by mother-son emotional and sexual abuse (ugly, but I experienced it); and it opened the door to same-sex attraction. I also thought about how this podcast has been downloaded by people around the world: New Zealand, Brazil, Pakistan, Greece, Australia, Zambia, Viet Nam, the UK - and many more. And I wondered how many needed healing from abuse that broke their hearts and opened the door to life-dominating sin. I've recorded this episode to reach out to whoever they may be.     This a Revisiting of the June 17, 2026 Episode: Have You Heard that Jesus Said Nothing (Condemning) About Homosexuality? Is that Blaspheming His Deity? Too Important not to Revisit

    Send us Fan Mail Jesus did not directly say anything about homosexuality in the gospels. But he identified Himself as "I Am" (John 8:58). It tells us that, as the I AM (God), He had already spoken about homosexuality (Leviticus 20:13). And as God, He is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Jesus is eternal. And because His moral laws and creation ordinances of gender, sexuality, and marriage are of and from him (Matthew 19:4-6), they are also eternal - not negotiable or wanting what we want them to mean.  Biblical ignorance and blasphemy go hand in hand. Yes, this is a serious and sober episode.  And Jesus is there for all who will turn from their sins and throw themselves on Him and His finished work on the cross.
