You Love Each Other… But Do You Still Like Each Other?

You Love Each Other… But Do You Still Like Each Other? When Love Starts Feeling Like RoutineYou love each other. You’ve built a life together. You handle the bills, schedules, children, and responsibilities. But somewhere between doing life together and managing life together… have you stopped actually enjoying each other? In this conversation, Tamiko asks a simple but powerful question: Do you still LIKE your partner? Do you still laugh together? Talk just because you want to? Stay curious about who they are now? Tamiko shares a moment from her college days as an Applebee’s waitress that stayed with her for years—and the promise she made long before marriage: “I didn’t just want to love my husband. I wanted to like him.” Because familiarity can become comfort, but if we’re not careful, comfort can become carelessness. And sometimes disconnection isn’t about needing another date night. Sometimes there’s hurt, resentment, or trust that needs to be repaired. You can’t date-night your way around unresolved pain. Maybe the goal isn’t getting back to the relationship you used to have. Maybe it’s discovering what you can build with who you both are now. 🪞 The mirror question: “If my partner experienced me today for the first time, would they meet the same warmth, curiosity, kindness, and effort I gave them when I was trying to win their heart?” Maybe love isn’t asking you to go backward. Maybe love is asking: “Will you learn me again?” 🎙️ Transparency with Tamiko — Season 4, Conversation 8 Nobody gets blamed. Everybody gets accountable.

When Two Healthy People Come Together

Season 4 | Conversation 4When Two Healthy People Come TogetherWe spend so much time talking about finding the right person, healing before the relationship, and becoming whole—but what happens when two healthy people actually come together? The truth is, being healthy doesn't mean you'll automatically know how to love each other. In this conversation, Tamiko talks about the beautiful—and sometimes challenging—work of learning the person you love. Because two healthy people can still communicate differently, carry different expectations, disagree, trigger places that still need healing, and have completely different ideas about what love and support should look like. We're talking about communication, respect, conflict, expectations, accountability, repair, and growth—and why respect has to travel both ways. Tamiko also shares a truth she's learned after more than 20 years with her husband: “There is no book on how to love Tamiko. And the truth is… I'm still learning how to do that too.” Because loving someone isn't about expecting them to read your mind. It's being willing to communicate your needs, learn theirs, and continue learning one another as you both grow and change. And when conflict comes—and it will—the goal isn't to win. It's to protect what you're building. Healthy relationships aren't relationships where nobody ever gets hurt or gets it wrong. They're relationships where two people are willing to communicate, respect, apologize, repair, forgive, adjust, and keep growing. Because... Healthy doesn't mean finished. Healthy means willing.

Everybody Wants a Good Woman..But are You Becoming a Good Man?

Absolutely, friend. 💛 Conversation 3 needs a description that makes men feel invited, not attacked, while still letting them know: we're going there. I’d use this: Season 4 | Conversation 3Everybody Wants a Good Woman... But Are You Becoming a Good Man?Gentlemen... it’s your turn. Last conversation, the women stood in the mirror. This time, Tamiko is inviting the men to do the same—but this conversation isn’t about blaming, shaming, or telling men everything they’re doing wrong. It’s about purpose. Many men spend their lives trying to prove themselves—proving they’re strong enough, successful enough, capable enough, and able to provide. But what happens when your identity becomes tied to what you can produce? In this conversation, Tamiko challenges men to look beyond performance and ask a deeper question: Who is God calling me to become? We’re talking about character, integrity, leadership, respect, emotional maturity, provision, vulnerability, and the pressures men often carry without ever putting them into words. Because being a provider is about more than a paycheck. Being a leader is about more than having authority. And being strong doesn’t mean carrying everything alone. A woman can encourage your purpose, support your purpose, and benefit from your purpose—but she was never meant to become your purpose. This isn't about becoming the man a good woman wants. It's about becoming the man God created you to be. And when a man knows who he is, whose he is, and what he's called to do, every relationship connected to him has the opportunity to experience the fruit of that growth. Gentlemen... it’s your turn to look in the mirror. 🪞 Leave a comment by stepping into this conversation and share your thoughts.
