Special interview with music producer Andrei Murariu from Romania and Claes Cornelius

Today on the You Are My Destiny Radio Show — two extraordinary stories. First, we return to a conversation with the legendary Claes Cornelius — co-founder of Mega Records, the independent European powerhouse that brought Ace of Base to the world. Claes is facing one of the greatest challenges of his life, recovering from a near-death experience — and with remarkable courage, he is relearning how to play guitar. Then, we go behind the music with Andrei Murariu — a young Romanian producer who has been shaping the sound of Zanna Records since day one in 2022. From the very first remix to the global phenomenon that is You Are My Destiny, Andrei's fingerprints are all over the music you love. Episode 4 You Are My Destiny Radio Show: Claes Cornelius the man who discovered Ace of Base

Welcome back to the You Are My Destiny Radio Show, with your hosts Luca and Claudette. Today is a special one — and an emotional one — because we have a guest whose name has been woven through every chapter of this story: Claes Cornelius. If you know the modern history of music that crossed borders, you know Claes. As co-founder of Mega Records in Copenhagen, he was the man who championed Ace of Base and helped carry Scandinavian pop to the world. He's the ear behind D-A-D, the Danish rock band he helped discover — the band that broke out internationally with "Sleeping My Day Away," their biggest single outside Denmark and a two-week resident on the UK top 100. Careers, catalogs, whole sounds — Claes has had a hand in shaping them. But for us, this goes deeper. Luca first met Claes in 1995, and that meeting changed the course of a life — a friendship and a mentorship that eventually brought Claes into the Zanna Records family. And today we get to share something extraordinary: back in February of 2025, Claes sent a series of emails with a prediction. He told us to take "You Are My Destiny" to the radio stations. He forecast it would be a hit. On today's show, we talk about that forecast — and everything that's happened since. We also want to say, with full hearts: it is a gift to have Claes here at all. He spent nearly two months in the hospital, and he is home, he is recovering, and he is back on the mic with us today. Plus, we'll tell you about our upcoming Equinox Awakening Retreat — an experience we can't wait to share. So settle in. This is a conversation forty years in the making.
