Episode 14: Money in the Bank 2026

New Orleans! We’ve got some things to say. In this episode, we break down WWE Money in the Bank 2026 from the Smoothie King Centre in Louisiana, a show that had its moments but left us feeling like it could have been so much more. We dive into: Roman Reigns defeats LA Knight to retain the World Heavyweight Championship: The show opener that perhaps should have closed the night, and probably still would not have saved it. LA Knight got the reaction of his career from the New Orleans crowd and deserved better than this outcome. The 946 (or 5678) appearing afterwards adds intrigue, but we are left wondering when LA Knight actually gets his moment. Tiffany Stratton wins the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: A two-time briefcase winner, and yet the crowd spent most of the match willing Roxanne Perez to get there instead. Stratton did what she needed to do, but the reaction when she won told its own story. The briefcase is hers. Whether the crowd ever fully gets behind what comes next remains to be seen. Oba Femi defeats Bronson Reed: The match of the night, and it was not particularly close. Two absolute monsters going at it, with Femi looking every inch a future world champion and Reed pushing him to his limit. The Ruler wins, The Vision get their comeuppance, and this is the one moment on the card that genuinely delivered on its promise. More of this please. Liv Morgan defeats Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch to win the Women’s World Championship: I don't understand the logic. Morgan walking in and pinning the champion while Lynch and Vaquer did all the work felt like a shortcut on a night that needed a proper payoff. Vaquer deserved better than this as champion, and Lynch deserved better than being a footnote. A flat ending to a match that had real potential. Penta wins the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match: Now we are talking. El Cero Miedo climbed the ladder in New Orleans and the Smoothie King Centre absolutely erupted. This was the moment the show needed, and it delivered in every possible way. Penta as Mr. Money in the Bank is something we are completely here for, despite a lack of story. A show with a brilliant high point and a frustrating everything else. Two matches worth your time, and a card that felt like it was coasting on the goodwill of its location. As always, this is our honest post-show reaction. Part breakdown, part banter, and the usual Back-Seat pint to wash it all down. Penta and Oba was the show. Everything else was just filler around him. Back-Seat Wrestling is an independent fan podcast and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WWE or any wrestling promotion. Episode 13: Sunday Night's Main Event

In this episode, we break down WWE Sunday Night's Main Event from Atlanta, Georgia. a show that delivered one of the more eventful cards of the year so far. Randy Orton defeats Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship: A rematch of their WrestleMania 42 bout, with Orton utilizing a low blow to pick up the win. The American Nightmare teased his most aggressive side yet and came up short. The series is now tied at 1-1, and a third match with a serious stipulation feels inevitable.   Bronson Reed returns and decimates Oba Femi: The most impactful moment of the night as Reed violently interfered inthe Oba Femi vs. Bron Breakker match, decimating Femi and signalling The Vision's formidable return. We absolutely loved it.    Lil Yachty survives Baron Corbin: Look, it was what it was. A celebrity segment that did its job and set up the title match that followed.   Trick Williams wins back the US Championship: Williams seized the United States Championship from Baron Corbin, atitle opportunity secured after Lil Yachty survived a five minute challenge against Corbin. Where does this feud go from here? Jade Cargill, Michin and B-Fab defeat Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley: Cargill maintained her undefeated record at SNME, and a costly miscommunication between Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss and Tatum Paxley proved to be their downfall. A card that overdelivered for an Atlanta crowd that was absolutely rocking all night. As always, this is our honest post-show reaction, part breakdown, part banter, and the usual Back-Seat pint to wash it all down.   Back-Seat Wrestling is an independent fan podcast and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WWE or any wrestling promotion. Episode 12: Saturday Night's Main Event

Thank you, New York. In this episode, we break down WWE Saturday Night's Main Event XLV in full, live from Madison Square Garden, the World's Most Famous Arena, with SummerSlam looming large and the landscape shifting by the minute. We dive into: CM Punk & Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther & Sami Zayn: The main event that had SummerSlam implications. Punk and Rhodes get the win, but it's what Nick Aldis did to Gunther after the bell that had everyone talking. Gunther (aka - Baby Shark) vs Nick Aldis at SummerSlam? Damn right. Roman Reigns & Jalen Brunson at MSG: The Tribal Chief sharing a stage with the man who helped the New York Knicks to their first NBA title in over 50 years. We discuss the segment, what it meant to the audience, and the small matter of Seth Rollins showing up. Lyra Valkyria vs. Bayley: A brutal, blood-soaked grudge match between former partners that Valkyria won by submission, before launching an even more vicious post-match assault. This feud is far from finished, and Lyra is a different animal right now. Fatal Influence win the Women's Tag Team Championships: Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley dethrone Paige and Brie Bella to become the new champions. A title change that felt earned. Danhausen vs. JD McDonagh - No DQ: Danhausen at Madison Square Garden. The city that he arguably helped deliver an NBA title to. The crowd absolutely adored him. And yes, we talked about it at length. We always do. A show that felt like a proper MSG special. Big moments, SummerSlam kindling, and the kind of atmosphere you can only get in New York. As always, this is our honest post-show reaction, part breakdown, part banter, and the usual Back-Seat pint to wash it all down. SummerSlam is coming. And it just got a lot more interesting. Episode 11: Night of Champions

Riyadh has been and gone, and we've got a lot to say. In this episode, we break down WWE Night of Champions 2026 in full, fresh from the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia, from the tournament finals to the title matches, and the moment that nobody thought would happen. We dive into: Sami Zayn defeats Cody Rhodes and Gunther to win the Undisputed WWE Championship: Ten years in the making. The Miracle in Saudi Arabia. We don't want to say too much here, just listen. Because this one is deserved. Oba Femi wins the King of the Ring, defeating Jey Uso: The Ruler is your King, and his path to SummerSlam is open. Femi looked every inch a top-tier star, and Jey gave him a good run. Where does this go next? IYO SKY wins the Queen of the Ring, defeating Liv Morgan: IYO wins the tournament and wastes zero time calling her shot for SummerSlam. Danhausen's curse doing its thing once again. Seth Rollins defeats Bron Breakker in a Steel Cage Match: Emotional, brutal, and exactly what this feud needed as a finale. Rollins finds a way, as he always does. What's next for The Visionary? Trick Williams retains the US Championship vs. Ricky Saints: Trick holds on and keeps rolling. How long before he moves up the card entirely? Tiffany Stratton retains the Women's US Championship vs. Jade Cargill: B-Fab and Michin get involved, because of course they do. Cargill can't buy a win right now, is that a problem, or is it building to something? A show headlined by one of the most genuinely surprising title changes in recent memory, surrounded by a card that largely delivered. As always, this is our honest post-show reaction. Part breakdown, part banter, and the usual Back-Seat pint to wash it all down. Episode 10: Clash in Italy

Turin has been and gone and we've got plenty to say. In this episode, we break down WWE Clash in Italy in full, fresh from the Inalpi Arena. WWE's first ever premium live event on Italian soil, from the in-ring storytelling to the booking decisions that had us talking long after the final bell. We dive into: Roman Reigns vs. Jacob Fatu - Tribal Combat for the World Heavyweight Championship: The Tribal Chief is now 3-0 in Tribal Combat matches, but this one was far from straightforward. Reigns continues to be on fire in 2026, and Fatu pushed him every step of the way. Where does this story go now? Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship: The American Nightmare retains, but the finish landed with a thud for a lot of people, us included. Gunther continues to feel like a main event player waiting for the right moment. When does that moment come? Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill for the Women's Championship: A WrestleMania rematch that had plenty to live up to. Mami retains, but Cargill's trajectory is fascinating right now. A huge improvement on previous matches, what is next for Jade? Sol Ruca vs. Becky Lynch for the Women's Intercontinental Championship: The one title change on the night, and arguably the moment of the evening. A crowning moment for someone with an enormous ceiling, and a big tip of the hat to Lynch for making it happen the way she did. Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi: The Beast survives, the trilogy is inevitable, and the Turin crowd absolutely serenaded Lesnar in a way nobody expected. The booking will divide opinion, but the match itself delivered. A show with very good to great wrestling up and down the card, even if some of the decisions upstairs will have people frustrated. As always, this is our honest post-show reaction, part breakdown, part banter, and the usual Back-Seat pint to wash it all down. Was this the best European show WWE has done in recent memory? We've got thoughts. Come find out why. Back-Seat Wrestling is an independent fan podcast and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WWE or any wrestling promotion. All opinions expressed are our own. Episode 9: Saturday Night's Main Event

Fort Wayne has been and gone and we've got plenty to say. In this episode, we break down WWE Saturday Night's Main Event XLIV in full, fresh from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, from the title matches to the moments that are quietly starting to shape the summer. We dive into: The Vision vs. The Street Profits: Logan Paul and Austin Theory retain in typically dubious fashion, but it's what happened after the bell that had everyone talking, with Bron Breakker making his presence very loudly felt. Penta vs. Ethan Page: An absolute thriller for the Intercontinental Title. Page pulled out every dirty trick in the book and nearly got away with it. This one deserves more attention than it'll get. Sol Ruca vs. Becky Lynch: The newcomer picks up a DQ win over the Women's Intercontinental Champion. Is this the start of something, or just a foot in the door? Jade Cargill's squad vs. Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss: Three massive personalities on one team, and they still couldn't get it together. Cargill looked like a star. Again. Paige and Brie Bella vs. The Irresistible Forces: Better than it had any right to be, and arguably their best outing as champions so far. A show that quietly overdelivered for a Fort Wayne crowd that clearly came ready. No title changes, but plenty of direction. As always, this is our honest post-show reaction, part breakdown, part banter, and the usual Back-Seat pint to wash it all down. Was SNME the most quietly satisfying show of the year so far? We think it might be. Come find out why. Back-Seat Wrestling is an independent fan podcast and is not affiliated with or endorsed by WWE or any wrestling promotion.
