    Meet Joanie and Anne, two Scottish lassies of a "certain age" who are officially diving into the world of podcasting! It has taken us a wee while to actually get here. Wrestling with all this modern technology hasn't been easy for a couple of oldies, but we got there in the end! We really hope you enjoy our very first attempt. Please be kind, but we would absolutely love your feedback. Our hope is just to get a tiny bit better with every single episode. We are on a mission to promote women's walking football and chat about the massive benefits of keeping active and socialising as you get older. Along the way, we will be sharing some handy lifestyle tips, interviewing some brilliant people, and hopefully spreading a little joy to put a smile on your face.

    Episode 2 - Women's walking football playcation & how to fight off a wasp!

    We’re back! And it’s all thanks to huge demand... well, okay, two of the lads from the Scone walking football team absolutely loved our pilot episode, so we're counting that as a win! 🤣 In this episode, we are buzzing to give you a full update on the first-ever women's walking football "playcation" in the Algarve last week. We actually came up with this crazy concept last year, and it turned out to be a massive success! ☀️⚽ Plus, Joan is getting closer to the big 6-0 and has just discovered some game-changing hair appliances and products that she can't stop raving about. And you won't want to miss her unique technique for dealing with angry wasps—it's a lifesaver! 🐝

    Episode 5 - Over 60s Walking Football finalists & Scandinavian sojourns

    In this episode we nearly lose the will to live trying to work the technology, post an update. 4 hours to get the mics to work 👵👵. We discuss making our mark in Malmo - walking football & spreading the joy. How to protect your loved ones from spiking. The best day spent with pals in Copenhagen - the Magical Tivoli Gardens. It’s true girls, dance like no one’s watching (and if they are, who cares).

    Episode 6 - Ladies that lunch, boobies, bras and posh sandals!

    In this episode, after years of nagging, Anne finally visits a ‘proper’ bra shop to get measured. Doubling her cup size! It’s so important to wear the correct size ladies.     Episode 7 - Our first interview with a legend of walking football in Scotland, Vivian Wallace MBE.

    In this episode Joanie and Anne do their first interview with a legend of walking football in Scotland, Vivian Wallace MBE. Vivian introduced walking football in the Edinburgh area in 2012 and soon got involved in the formation of Walking Football Scotland, where she served on the board for a number of years. She has always be a great advocate of the women's game and plays herself in the Midlothian women's team. All of us in the walking football community in Scotland have a lot to thank Vivian for and it was only fitting she was recognised in recent years with an MBE. We finished by discussing how we hope to help develop the game in the north of Scotland where at the moment there are no registered women's teams, which is such a shame.     In this episode Joanie stressing about not being packed yet from her holidays! Anne discusses her favourite - 7”, 5 speed, battery operated 'fan' ;-) We chat about her week which included a rare run in the woods at weekend. Joan her some advice at the end which she was clearly not following!

    Episode 9 - holiday tales, party capers and Anne's big breestie bikini from the coop!

    In this episode we talk about our very different recent holidays & Joan's allergic reaction just in time for a very special event. We rejoice in Saints 4-3 victory over Kilmarnock, and Joan finds herself bathless. Hats off to Andrea & Jackie having another amazing party - this years theme - Scotland.
