Today, Terry talks about the Netherlands' dominance of Sweden, which we thought would be more competitive going into the match. The game turned out to be a 5-1 blowout. Terry gives credit for the performance of #Paraguay, which looked listless and flat against the #USMNT, but showed fight in a 1-0 win that eliminated #Turkey. Ivory Coast gave #Germany all it could handle but Germany prevailed on two late goals. Terry breaks that game down. On Terry's sub stack today, we highlight an excellent coaching paper he's written about MENTALITY. Here's a snippet: "Mentality refers to a person's habitual way of thinking and their mental attitude, or it can describe their mental power and intelligence. It encompasses beliefs, feelings, and values that shape how someone interprets and responds to situations. The term can also refer to an established framework of attitudes or a worldview.  An athlete's mindset can include qualities like resilience, emotional control, and continuous learning." Plus, what about the officiating at the World Cup so far? It's not the calls that bother Terry, but the NON-CALLS that are impacting games.
