Biblical Stewardship: How to Use Your Time and Money for God

What does the way you spend your time and money reveal about what matters most to you? In this episode of Rooted in the Gospel, we continue our series on the spiritual disciplines by exploring biblical stewardship and what it means to faithfully manage the resources God has entrusted to us. From our daily schedules and screen time to our finances and generosity, Scripture reminds us that we are not the ultimate owners of what we have—we are stewards called to use it for God's glory. We'll explore biblical principles for stewarding your time wisely, using your days with eternity in mind, giving generously, trusting God's provision, and recognizing when money or distractions begin to take too much control of your heart. Through passages such as Ephesians 5:15–16, Matthew 6:21, and 2 Corinthians 9:7, discover how stewardship becomes an act of worship and an expression of faithful Christian discipleship. This isn't about achieving a perfect schedule or budget, or earning God's favor. It's about asking a deeper question: Lord, how would You have me use what You have entrusted to me? #BiblicalStewardship #BibleStudy #SpiritualGrowth #ChristianDiscipleship #ChristianLiving 🌿 Pure Heart Ministrieshttps://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/ 📚 Explore Resourceshttps://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/resources 💬 Join the Facebook Communityhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61591789620053 ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 — Introduction to Biblical Stewardship 01:05 — What Stewardship Really Means: Everything Belongs to God 03:57 — Stewarding Your Time for God's Glory 06:06 — Ten Biblical Reasons to Use Your Time Wisely 09:40 — Living Today With Eternity in Mind 12:09 — Why Time Is Short, Passing, and Uncertain 14:38 — Wasted Time, Accountability, and Moving Forward 19:06 — Examining How You Spend Your Time 21:18 — Stewardship of Money: A Matter of the Heart 23:09 — Everything You Have Belongs to God 25:18 — Giving as Worship: Trust, Generosity, and Cheerfulness 31:33 — What Your Money Reveals About Your Heart 33:18 — Final Challenge: Faithfully Use What God Has Entrusted to You 💬 You don't have to have the perfect schedule, the perfect budget, or a perfectly organized life to be a faithful steward. God is not calling you to squeeze productivity out of every moment or feel guilty about every purchase. He is calling you to recognize that everything you have—including your time, resources, abilities, and opportunities—has been entrusted to you. Start with what is already in your hands. Examine your calendar, consider where your money is going, and ask the Lord to help you use both wisely. Don't remain trapped in regret over yesterday's wasted time or past financial decisions. You cannot change yesterday, but you can choose faithfulness today. Your challenge this week: Pray, “Lord, how would You have me use what You have entrusted to me?” Then take one practical step toward greater faithfulness, whether that means being more intentional with your time, putting down your phone, giving generously, or trusting God instead of allowing fear to control your finances. Remember, the goal is not perfection. It is faithful obedience as you grow to become more like Christ.

Are You Really Being the Wife God Called You to Be?

What does God actually call us to be as wives? In this episode of Rooted in the Gospel, we have an honest conversation about biblical marriage and what it means to faithfully love, support, respect, and serve our husbands. Angela Weiss joins us to share wisdom from 15 years of marriage and ministry as we explore what it means to be a helper, build trust, practice biblical submission, and grow together in sanctification. We also talk about the practical ways wives can strengthen their marriages: praying for their husbands instead of simply complaining about them, speaking words that build up rather than tear down, communicating through difficult seasons, showing gratitude, and remembering that our husbands are not our saviors—Christ is. Whether you're newly married, have been married for years, or are walking through a difficult season, this conversation will encourage you to open your Bible, examine your heart, and ask the Lord how you can become a more faithful wife for His glory. #BibleStudy #ChristianMarriage #ChristianWomen #BiblicalMarriage #SpiritualGrowth 🌿 Visit Pure Heart Ministries:https://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/ 📖 Get Free Bible Study Resources:https://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/resources 💬 Join the Facebook Community:https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61591789620053 ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 – Welcome & Introduction 01:10 – What Has God Called Me to Be as a Wife? 03:21 – How Our Understanding of Being a Wife Changes 04:58 – What Does It Mean to Be a Helper? 06:39 – Biblical Roles in Marriage 08:34 – Becoming a Wife Your Husband Can Trust 10:47 – Does Your Presence Do Your Husband Good? 12:21 – Understanding Biblical Submission 15:21 – Submission Is Not Passivity 17:10 – What If Your Husband Isn't Leading Well? 19:08 – Respecting Your Husband 22:00 – How We Speak About Our Husbands 25:12 – Building Up Instead of Constantly Criticizing 27:18 – Practicing Gratitude in Marriage 28:40 – How to Pray for Your Husband 30:27 – Taking Your Marriage Problems to God First 32:05 – Communication During Difficult Seasons 34:37 – Your Husband Is Not Your Savior 36:31 – Supporting a Husband in Ministry 39:05 – How a Wife Can Support Her Husband's Calling 42:09 – Practical Marriage Advice 43:19 – Don't Neglect Your Marriage 43:44 – One Simple Way to Love Your Husband Well 44:17 – Becoming a More Faithful Wife for God's Glory 💬Your husband is not your Savior, and you don't have to become the perfect wife. Instead of asking only, "What is my husband doing?" ask, "Lord, how can I be a more faithful wife?" Take your struggles to Him first. Open His Word. Pray for your husband. Look for ways to encourage rather than criticize, and choose faithfulness even when marriage feels difficult. Your marriage doesn't have to be perfect to glorify God. It needs two imperfect people who are willing to keep turning toward Christ.

Why Every Christian Is Called to Serve | The Heart of Biblical Service

What does it really mean to serve God? In this episode of Rooted in the Gospel, we explore the spiritual discipline of serving and why it is essential to our growth in Christlikeness. Biblical service goes far beyond volunteering at church or helping when it is convenient. It means following the example of Jesus, who humbled Himself, served others, and ultimately gave His life for us. Discover how pride, laziness, and the desire for recognition can keep us from serving faithfully, and learn how gratitude, humility, love, and obedience shape a heart devoted to Christ. Finding Opportunities to Share Jesus Every Day | Practical Evangelism

How do you actually share the gospel with the people God has placed around you? Evangelism can feel intimidating when we think we need perfect words, extensive biblical knowledge, or the ability to answer every difficult question. In this episode of Rooted in the Gospel, MaCarly sits down with Pastor Thad Cartwright to talk about what faithful evangelism really looks like and how ordinary Christians can begin having meaningful conversations about Jesus. They discuss why evangelism is not only for pastors, missionaries, or naturally outgoing people, why living a Christian life cannot replace proclaiming the gospel with our words, and how the Holy Spirit empowers us to be faithful witnesses. This conversation gets practical about moving from everyday conversations toward spiritual things, asking thoughtful questions, listening well, sharing your testimony, and balancing truth and love when talking about sin, judgment, grace, and the gospel. Thad also shares encouragement for those who feel like they don't know enough, explaining why we can start by simply sharing what we do know about Jesus and trusting God with the results. If you've ever wondered how to start gospel conversations without feeling awkward or unprepared, this episode will encourage you to stop waiting until you know everything and start faithfully sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. 🌿 Pure Heart Ministries https://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/ 💬 Join the Facebook Community https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61591789620053 📘 Download the FREE Bible Study Guide https://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/resources ⏱️ TIMESTAMPS 00:00 — Meet Pastor Thad Cartwright: A Heart for Evangelism 01:50 — What Is Evangelism? You may not have every theological answer. You may stumble over your words. You may not know exactly how a conversation will unfold. But if you know Christ, you have something to testify about. Your job is not to save someone. Your job is not to manufacture a conversion or have the perfect response to every objection. Your calling is to be a faithful witness and trust the Holy Spirit to do what only He can do. So don't wait until you feel completely prepared. Know the gospel. Know what Christ has done for you. Pray for boldness. Love the people God has placed around you. Be genuinely interested in their lives, listen to them, and look for the doors God opens. And when that opportunity comes, open your mouth and tell them about Jesus.

How to Share the Gospel Without Fear | Learning to Evangelize

Evangelism can feel intimidating, especially when we imagine that sharing the gospel requires perfect words, a bold personality, or the ability to answer every difficult theological question. But evangelism is not reserved for pastors, missionaries, or naturally outgoing Christians. In this episode of Rooted in the Gospel, we look at evangelism as a spiritual discipline and consider what it means for every believer to faithfully share the good news of Jesus Christ. Before we can share the gospel, we need to know what the gospel actually is. We walk through the seriousness of sin, the holiness and justice of God, Christ’s perfect life, His sacrificial death, His resurrection, and the call to repent and believe. We also explore the Great Commission, the role of the Holy Spirit, and what the early church in Acts teaches us about the power and advancement of the gospel. Finally, we get practical. Learn how to prepare yourself to evangelize, use Scripture such as the Romans Road, grow in biblical literacy, learn from faithful evangelists, practice gospel conversations, ask thoughtful questions, share your testimony without making it the gospel, and overcome the fear of rejection. The goal isn't to become impressive at evangelism—it is to become faithful. 🛣️ Romans Road to SalvationA Scripture-based tool mentioned in the episode for helping believers clearly communicate the gospel. 📖 Romans 3:23 • Romans 6:23 • Romans 5:8 • Romans 8:1 • Romans 10:9–10Scripture passages recommended as part of the Romans Road to Salvation. 🌿 Pure Heart Ministrieshttps://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/ 💬 Join the Facebook Communityhttps://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61591789620053 📘 Download the FREE Bible Study Guidehttps://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/resources Timestamps 00:00 — Why Evangelism Can Feel So Intimidating02:23 — The Great Commission Is for Every Christian04:19 — Evangelism as a Spiritual Discipline06:31 — Before Evangelism: What Is the Gospel?08:25 — The Bad News and the Good News of the Gospel10:11 — Why We Never Outgrow the Gospel12:39 — What Is Evangelism?14:35 — Are We Actually Obeying the Great Commission?16:27 — Why the Gospel Should Compel Us to Speak18:24 — What the Early Church Teaches Us About Evangelism22:08 — Jesus Builds the Church—So What Is Our Responsibility?25:20 — Redefining “Successful” Evangelism29:27 — Why Your Life Should Support the Gospel33:27 — Practical Ways to Become Better at Evangelism41:47 — Eventually, You Have to Open Your Mouth 💬 The gospel that changed your life is not something you were meant to keep to yourself. You do not have to be the most eloquent person in the room. You do not have to know the answer to every question. You do not have to convince someone to believe. Your calling is much simpler: know the gospel, love the people God has placed around you, depend on the Holy Spirit, and faithfully tell others about Jesus. The pressure of conversion does not belong to you. God is the one who saves. Jesus is the one who builds His church. Your responsibility is faithfulness. So pray for an opportunity. Look for the people God has already placed around you. Listen to their stories. Ask thoughtful questions. And when the opportunity comes, don't let fear keep you silent. Know the gospel. Pray for opportunities. Love people well. And when God opens the door, open your mouth.

The Difference Between Worship and a Worship Experience | Caleb McGehee

What is the difference between true worship and simply having a worship experience? In this episode of Rooted in the Gospel, MaCarly Zoellick sits down with Caleb McGehee, church elder and worship leader, for a deeper conversation about what it means to worship God faithfully. Together, they explore why biblical worship is so much more than singing, why worship begins with the heart, and how Scripture should shape both our personal and corporate worship. Caleb explains the biblical meaning behind worship, including the Hebrew shachah and Greek proskuneō, and shares why worship is ultimately a response of reverence, love, honor, and obedience to God. The conversation also addresses worshiping in spirit and truth, choosing biblically sound worship songs, the difference between personal preferences and biblical convictions, and why knowing your Bible helps you discern whether what you're singing is actually true worship. You'll also hear about preparing your heart for corporate worship, avoiding a performance mindset, worshiping through different musical styles, and what worship teaches us about eternity. If you're pursuing Bible Study, Spiritual Growth, and Christian Discipleship, this conversation will challenge you to look beyond the music and ask a deeper question: Am I responding rightly to the worth of God? Behold: What Are You Really Looking At? | Good Good Daughter Women's Conference Bonus Ep

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself, "What am I actually beholding?" In this special bonus episode, MaCarly shares the teaching she gave live at the Good Good Daughter women's conference, walking through Psalm 119:18 and the often-overlooked word "behold." Whether you're new to Bible study or you've been reading Scripture for decades, this episode invites you to slow down and consider what — or who — is truly shaping your gaze, your beliefs, and your life. In this episode, you'll learn what it means to biblically "behold" God's word rather than simply read it, why the psalmist's prayer in Psalm 119:18 depends on God opening our eyes before we can ever see the wonders in His law, and how the practice of illumination invites both diligent study and humble dependence on the Holy Spirit. MaCarly walks through the structure and heart of Psalm 119, unpacks the psalmist's identity as God's servant and a sojourner, and shows how genuine Bible study for women isn't about becoming a "good enough" daughter — it's about knowing the Father who has already made us His through Christ. This teaching is a beautiful picture of what it looks like to grow in spiritual maturity by returning again and again to God's word — not out of obligation, but as an invitation to know Him. If you're ready to move beyond surface-level reading and learn how to study the Bible in a way that draws you closer to God, this episode is for you. 🌿 Pure Heart Ministries https://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/ 💬 Facebook Community https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61591789620053 📖 FREE Bible Study Guide https://www.pure-heart-ministries.org/resources Key Topics What it means to "behold" God's word according to the original Hebrew meaningThe prayer of Psalm 119:18 — "Open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of your law"The structure and significance of Psalm 119 as the longest psalm in ScriptureThe difference between merely reading Scripture and truly beholding itWhy illumination requires both diligent study and humble dependence on the Holy SpiritScripture as God's authoritative revelation of Himself, not primarily about usMoving from religion to relationship with Jesus ChristBecoming a daughter of God through the gospel, not through self-improvementHow Galatians 4:4-5 points to adoption through Christ Timestamps 00:01 Recap of the Good Good Daughter Conference and Why This Bonus Episode Exists 02:07 Opening in Prayer and Introducing Psalm 119:18 04:22 What Does It Mean to Behold?
