Midnight Rentals

Celeste and Autumn

Two best friends. Minimal research. Absolutely insane movies. Join Autumn and Celeste as they dive headfirst into the glorious dumpster fire of cinema and pop culture. Why do people like these things so much? Why do we like it that much?! What’s wrong with all of us!!?! Between the low budgets, questionable acting, and plots that defy all logic, they somehow find time to spill on pop culture, overshare about their lives, and debate things that have absolutely nothing to do with the film. New episodes every month(at least). Snacks encouraged.

    A Knight's Tale (2001) Review 🏇🏻 Can a Man Chance His Stars?

HUZZAH! This week we are chancing our stars headfirst into A Knight's Tale (2001) — and honestly??? Some of us (cough cough AUTUMN!) were not prepared for how GOOD this movie is. A near perfect script (-1 for lack of jesters) top to bottom, a succinct story, heart, passion, courage, warm feelings and humor. A male fantasy high that somehow doesn't exclude anyone at the table. A love letter to the 2000s inexplicably set in medieval times. Heath Ledger said let them eat cake and somehow HE ate (get it??? like he ate that up) 🏇✨👑 Topics covered:Hot takes on the Elvis and the Priscilla movies (we got there eventually)Why this script is genuinely close to perfectThe casting, the heart, the humor and the chaosHow a medieval movie became the most 2000s thing ever madeWhy this is a male fantasy film that actually works for everyoneHeath Ledger (obviously) ( and Celeste maybe can't stop talking about Paul Bettany)🎥 What is Midnight Rentals? Two best friends.
