    Building a Table of Generosity

What would it look like for a church to become so radically generous that an entire city could taste what heaven is like? Continuing through the book of Nehemiah, Julian looks at Nehemiah 5 and a moment of deep economic injustice. While Jerusalem’s walls were being rebuilt, God’s people were placing heavy financial burdens on one another—taking land, charging interest, creating debt, and even costing families their generational inheritance. Nehemiah refuses to participate in that culture. Instead, he opens his own table, absorbs the cost himself, and uses what has been entrusted to him to lift the burdens of those around him. Julian challenges us to see generosity not simply as giving money, but as a Kingdom way of living that reflects the character and abundance of God. In this message, you’ll discover: • Why generosity is a matter of worship and the fear of God• How Nehemiah responded to poverty and injustice by personally becoming part of the solution• Why everything we have is something to steward, not simply something we have earned• How our resources can create a legacy that extends beyond our own families• Why privilege becomes powerful when it is used for the sake of others• What it means to build a diverse, countercultural table where everyone is welcomed• Why biblical abundance is different from both a poverty mindset and self-indulgence• How Jesus models ultimate generosity by emptying Himself for the sake of others• Why generosity can become a form of spiritual warfare that breaks cycles of poverty and lifts heavy burdens Julian calls us to imagine a church where needs are met before programs ever have to respond, where generosity flows naturally between people, and where the poor, broken, and overlooked encounter dignity, provision, and hope. The goal is not prosperity for prosperity’s sake. It is abundance with a purpose—so that the blessing of God can move to us, in us, and through us until the city begins to ask, “Who is the God that these people serve?” Because if we are going to help rebuild the walls of our city, we must become a people who open our table generously—for one another, for our spheres of influence, and for the sake of the world around us.

    Impossible Faith

What could God do through an ordinary life that simply keeps saying yes? In this message, Angela Kemm shares stories from more than five decades of following Jesus and challenges us to take seriously the truth of Ephesians 2:10: we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works that He has already prepared for us to do. Angela reminds us that the Church is not simply an institution or a Sunday gathering—we are the Church. Every follower of Jesus has a unique assignment, and faithfulness is not measured by the size or visibility of our calling, but by whether we obey what God has placed in front of us. Through powerful stories from apartheid-era South Africa, ministry in Cape Town’s townships, fighting for the poor, trusting God for hundreds of homes, church planting, healing, and encounters across the nations, Angela shows what can happen when we follow Jesus beyond the limits of fear and our own ability. In this message, you’ll discover: • Why every believer has good works prepared specifically for them by God• How obedience matters more than having a visible or impressive ministry• Why comparing your calling with someone else’s can pull you out of your own lane• How God can use ordinary acts of obedience to bring extraordinary change• Why fear does not have to disqualify us from what God is asking us to do• How following Jesus can open our eyes to injustice and the needs of the poor• What it looks like to trust God when the assignment feels far beyond your resources• How the supernatural power of the gospel becomes real when we step out and minister to people• Why staying sensitive to the voice of God requires a willingness to obey when He speaks Angela’s story is not ultimately about what one remarkable person accomplished. It is about what God can do through someone who keeps responding to Him—even when her head is saying no, the task looks impossible, and the cost feels high. The same God has prepared good works for each of us. Our invitation is to recognize what He has placed in front of us, trust that His power is greater than our limitations, and say yes. Because impossible faith is not believing that we are capable of anything—it is believing that God is, and obeying Him when He asks us to move.

    Buckle up, Buttercup

What do you do when opposition shows up in the middle of what God has called you to build? Continuing through the book of Nehemiah, Katia looks at chapters 4 and 6 and the reality of spiritual opposition. Nehemiah and the people of God were rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls, but as the work progressed, so did the resistance. They faced mockery, intimidation, confusion, rumors, false prophecy, and repeated attempts to distract them from the work. The methods were different, but the enemy’s objective was always the same: stop the work. Katia reminds us that the same is true in our own lives. When we begin pursuing the purposes of God, opposition should not automatically make us question whether we heard Him correctly. Instead, Scripture teaches us to recognise the enemy’s schemes, strengthen ourselves in the Lord, and keep running the race God has placed before us. In this message, you’ll discover: • Why understanding the enemy’s schemes keeps us from being outwitted by them• How dismissal and contempt can cause us to doubt who God has made us to be• Why we must refuse to despise small beginnings• How confusion can paralyze us even when the enemy has no real authority over us• Why community helps us recognize and withstand spiritual opposition• How seemingly good—even spiritual—things can become distractions from our assignment• Why discernment matters when weighing prophetic words• How fear and intimidation attempt to pull us away from conviction• Why perseverance is ultimately about refusing to stop Nehemiah refused to come down from the wall because he knew, “I am doing a great work.” Despite everything thrown against them, the wall was completed in just 52 days. What sounded overwhelming in the middle of the battle looked very different once the work was finished. The enemy may be loud, but his opposition does not get to determine your destiny. Strengthen yourself, discern what is happening, stand your ground, and keep going. Because if the enemy’s goal is simply to make you stop, then sometimes victory looks like refusing to stop.

    Sharing Jesus

What if evangelism was simpler—and more natural—than we have made it? For many of us, the word “evangelism” immediately brings certain images to mind: stadiums filled with people, street preachers, persuasive arguments, or conversations that can feel forced and uncomfortable. But in this message, Roger Warr invites us to rediscover something far simpler: the joy of sharing Jesus with the people God has already placed around us. Drawing from Scripture and stories from his own life, Roger describes sharing Jesus as offering someone something that has become deeply valuable to you because you believe it could be valuable to them too. We do not need impressive strategies or perfect answers. We can listen, have conversations, tell our stories, explain what Jesus has done, and trust God to work in ways we may never fully see. In this message, you’ll discover: • Why evangelism does not have to feel intimidating, invasive, or forced• What it means to simply share Jesus rather than trying to “win” someone• Why our own experience of Jesus gives us something worth sharing• How ordinary friendships and conversations can become significant Kingdom moments• Why sharing our faith with family and close friends can sometimes be the hardest place to begin• How to keep loving and sharing even when people initially reject or misunderstand your faith• The heart of the gospel and the “great exchange” Jesus offers—taking our sin and brokenness and giving us His life, peace, freedom, and nature• Why we can faithfully play our part without carrying responsibility for someone else’s response• How seemingly small acts of obedience can have an impact we may never know about Through personal stories—including conversations with his own family and an opportunity to share Jesus with someone approaching the end of his life—Roger reminds us that we rarely know what God may do with a simple act of courage. Some seeds bear fruit quickly; others may take years or even generations. Our invitation is simply to keep showing up, keep loving people, and keep trusting God. Because evangelism is not about becoming an expert salesperson for Christianity. It is about knowing that we have received something of immeasurable value in Jesus—and being willing to share Him with someone else.

    Arise and Build

What has God placed in your heart to rebuild—and what might be possible if you chose to begin? In this message, Katia draws from the story of Nehemiah and his call to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Faced with devastation, opposition, and a task far greater than any one person could accomplish, Nehemiah responded with prayer, courage, and practical obedience. God’s invitation to build is rarely about pursuing our own ambitions. It is an invitation to recognize what is broken, receive His heart for restoration, and faithfully take responsibility for the part He has placed before us. We may not have every resource, answer, or detail when we begin, but obedience starts by trusting that the God who gave the vision will also provide what is needed to fulfill it. In this message, you’ll discover: • How God awakens our hearts to the places that need restoration• Why prayer is the foundation of everything we are called to build• The importance of moving from revelation into practical obedience• How to remain faithful when opposition and discouragement arise• Why rebuilding requires courage, perseverance, and dependence on God• How every person carries a meaningful part of the work• The strength that is released when God’s people build together• Why we cannot allow intimidation or distraction to pull us away from our assignment• How God restores more than structures—He restores people, identity, and hope We are not called to stand at a distance and simply grieve what has been lost. God invites us to rise, take our place, and participate in His work of restoration. What feels impossible in isolation becomes possible when each person faithfully builds the section entrusted to them. Because when God places a vision in the hearts of His people, our response is not to remain among the ruins—it is to arise and build.

    Be Moved

What does it look like to become a people who are moved by what moves the heart of God? In this message, Katia invites us to look again at the compassion of Jesus—a compassion that did more than recognise pain from a distance. Jesus allowed Himself to be moved toward people, entering their stories with love, mercy, and the power of the Kingdom. It can be easy to see the needs around us without allowing them to interrupt our lives. But when we surrender our comfort, self-protection, and indifference to the Holy Spirit, He begins to form the heart of Jesus within us. Compassion becomes more than an emotion; it becomes a willingness to draw near, respond, and carry the love of God into the places that need it most. In this message, you’ll discover: • What it means to be moved by the heart of God• How the compassion of Jesus leads us toward people• Why love must become more than a feeling• How comfort and self-protection can keep us at a distance• The difference between noticing a need and responding to it• How the Holy Spirit forms the character of Jesus within us• Why true compassion often requires interruption and sacrifice• How ordinary acts of obedience can reveal the Kingdom of God• What becomes possible when we allow God to soften our hearts God is not simply inviting us to observe what He is doing. He is drawing us into His heart and teaching us to move with Him—to see people as He sees them, love them as He loves them, and respond when He leads. Because the love of Jesus never leaves us unmoved—it draws us close, transforms our hearts, and sends us toward the people He loves.

    An Issachar People

What does it look like to understand the times we are living in—and to know how God is calling us to respond? In 1 Chronicles 12:32, the sons of Issachar were recognised as people who “understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” They carried more than an awareness of what was happening around them. They had the discernment, wisdom, and courage required to respond to their moment. God is forming an Issachar people today—a people who are not driven by fear, cultural pressure, or the loudest voices around them, but who are deeply attentive to what the Spirit is saying. True discernment is not simply recognising the season; it is allowing revelation to shape how we live, pray, lead, and act. In Julian's message, you’ll discover: • What it means to understand the times from a Kingdom perspective• Why discernment must lead to obedience and action• How intimacy with God enables us to recognise what He is doing• The difference between reacting to culture and responding to the Spirit• Why wisdom is essential for navigating seasons of change• How God prepares His people before significant moments• The importance of becoming a people—not simply individuals—who carry understanding• How to live with courage, clarity, and faith in uncertain times We are not called to withdraw from the world, become overwhelmed by it, or simply observe what is happening. We are called to recognize the activity of God, partner with His purposes, and faithfully represent His Kingdom in our generation. Because an Issachar people do more than know what time it is—they know what faithfulness requires in that time.

    Faith To Maturity

How does God take an ordinary person with a promise and shape them into someone who can faithfully carry it? In this message, Katia walks through the life of Joseph, revealing that God's promises aren't shortcuts—they're invitations into a lifelong process of transformation. From betrayal and slavery to prison and eventually the palace, Joseph's story reminds us that God's greatest work often happens in the hidden seasons before anyone else sees the fruit. Rather than avoiding hardship, Joseph discovers that God's presence remains constant through every setback, refining his character and preparing him to carry far more than he ever imagined. What looked like delay was actually discipleship. In this message, you'll discover: Why God's promises often require a process before their fulfilmentHow suffering and trials become places where God forms mature faithWhy your circumstances are not the best measure of God's presenceHow God uses seasons of confinement to prepare you for greater influenceThe difference between self-confidence and God-confidenceWhy prophetic words are invitations to growth, not shortcuts to successHow repeated testing develops the spiritual muscle needed to carry God's callingWhy favour is ultimately meant to bless others, not simply elevate ourselvesHow the wisdom of God equips ordinary believers to bring creative Kingdom solutions into the worldKatia reminds us that faith matures not through comfort, but through continual surrender. As Joseph's life demonstrates, every season of waiting, refining, and trusting becomes preparation for God's greater purposes. The invitation isn't simply to receive God's promises—but to become the kind of people who can faithfully steward them. Because God's goal isn't just fulfilled dreams—it's transformed people who reveal His wisdom and His Kingdom wherever they go.
