Food For The Soul is not another podcast telling you to do more, be more, push harder or optimise every part of your life. Each episode is a short, soulful and practical pep talk designed to meet you in real-life moments: when your confidence takes a hit, when you are tired of being the strong one, when you need to hold a boundary, when you are comparing yourself to everyone else, when you are ready to stop over-explaining, when you want to be seen, when you need to ask for the money, when you are stepping into a bigger room, and when you are becoming the next version of yourself. This show is for executive women, entrepreneur women, founders, leaders, speakers, consultants, mothers, creatives and ambitious women who are done performing 'fine' and ready to return to themselves. You will find episodes on courage, confidence, self-trust, boundaries, money, worth, visibility, leadership, emotional resilience, nervous system regulation, courageous conversations and coming back to your fire. You are not required to hold everything together at the expense of yourself. You are allowed to lead, receive, rise, rest, want more, take up space and come home to the woman you are becoming. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on Becoming Her Before You Feel Ready

A lot of women are waiting. Waiting for more confidence, more clarity, the right timing, more evidence, a sign. Waiting until they feel like the woman who can hold the thing they want. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke CSP talks about becoming her before you feel ready, a conversation that keeps coming up with her girlfriends, her clients and the people she chats with in passing. She explains why the feeling rarely arrives first, and why sometimes the way you become her is by practising her before you feel like her. Ally unpacks why becoming is behavioural before it is emotional. You don't become a woman with boundaries by waiting until boundaries feel natural, you become her by saying no while your body still feels uncomfortable. You don't become visible by waiting until it feels completely safe, you become her by allowing 5% more visibility and letting your nervous system learn that you survived. And for high performing women who are used to mastering something before they show up for it, she makes the case that the next identity is often built in motion. You'll hear Ally's questions for getting specific about the woman you're becoming: is she paid well, does she speak clearly, does she protect her energy, does she lead with presence? Then how would she behave today, not forever and not in six months, what would she say yes to, say no to, stop over explaining, or ask for? Her invitation is to choose one action that belongs to her, today. It might feel unfamiliar, and that's okay. One day, what feels brave now will feel normal, and that is how identity is built. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on Comeback Energy

Fresh start energy gets all the glory: the new diary, the clean notebooks, and a plan that will definitely, this time, be beautifully organised. But there's another kind of energy that's even more powerful, and it doesn't wait for January. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke CSP talks about comeback energy, the grittier cousin of fresh start energy. It's the energy that rises after the wobble, after the disappointment, after the messy season, or the moment you get sick of your own patterns and decide you're not staying there. She explains why a comeback doesn't have to be dramatic. No movie montage, no total reinvention. Most real comebacks start with one small decision: opening the document you've been avoiding, making the call, booking the appointment, telling the truth. And if you feel like you've lost a bit of yourself along the way, Ally's reminder is that you're not broken, you might just be buried, under responsibility, expectation and a version of success that looked good from the outside but felt heavier on the inside. You'll hear the difference between shaming yourself back to life and welcoming yourself home, why motivation might be the reward for re-entering your own life rather than the place you have to start, and Ally's simple practice: choose the one area where you most need a comeback, then take one small, honest action that signals you're on your way back. Please don't make it heroic. You don't have to come back as the old version of you. Your fire may be buried for a while, but it's still yours, and it's not out yet. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on A Quick Hit of Courage

Courage gets built up to be something bigger than it needs to be: a grand speech, a dramatic moment, a cinematic soundtrack. Most days, it isn't any of that. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke gives you a quick hit of courage, the everyday kind. She believes courage is really consistency compounding: doing the small things that scare you a little, again and again, until the muscle gets stronger. She talks about how courage rarely arrives fully formed. It usually shows up as a tiny, inconvenient whisper, say something, go first, this matters, right before the itty bitty s****y committee whacks you over the head with a clipboard full of what ifs. Fear being present doesn't mean courage is absent. They can coexist, and fear is often the doorway you walk through to get to courage. You'll hear Ally's challenge for the week: choose one thing you've been avoiding, not ten, just one, and ask yourself what's the cleanest, bravest, most respectful next step. Not the most perfect. Not the one that guarantees everybody else is happy. Courage isn't always loud. Sometimes it's a calm email, a pause, a sentence, or silence after you've clearly said no. You don't need to feel fearless to move courageously. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on The Edge

There's a particular feeling Ally wants to talk about today: the moment you can feel something in you being called forward, but you're not quite comfortable yet. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke unpacks the edge, that threshold between the woman you've been and the woman you're becoming. It's a conversation, a decision, a boundary, a bigger room. And the moment you get close to it, your whole system starts negotiating: maybe later, maybe once things settle down, maybe once I have more certainty. She explains why so many high performing women misread that discomfort as a warning to retract, when it might actually be an invitation to step forward. The strategies that got you here, overworking, proving, pleasing, perfecting, might not be what the next level needs. It asks for more trust, more visibility, more asking, more boundaries. You'll hear Ally's most important question for when you're up against the edge: not what is this asking me to do, but what is this asking me to become. And her simple practice for naming your edge out loud, then finding the smallest brave step you can take toward it without overwhelming your system. Your edge isn't here to punish you or shame you. It's here to reveal the next version of you. Take the tiny step. Timestamps 00:00:15 Today's topic: the edge 00:00:46 Why your whole system starts negotiating when you get close 00:01:15 The edge is a threshold, not a wrong turn 00:01:50 Where high performing women misread the signal 00:02:34 What if discomfort is an invitation, not a warning 00:03:59 The question that matters: what is this asking me to become 00:04:39 Who you need to become to hold the action cleanly 00:05:41 Where is your edge right now 00:07:01 Naming your edge out loud 00:07:35 The smallest brave step you can take 00:08:25 The edge is here to reveal your next version, not punish you Connect with Ally Nitschke CSP Madeformore.com.au Connect with me on LinkedIn. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on Feeling Limitless

"Feeling limitless" can sound like a big, sparkly, motivational idea, more abundance, more expansion, and none of it feels quite real for the woman actually living her life with bills, a calendar and real responsibilities. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke reframes what feeling limitless actually means. It has nothing to do with having no responsibilities or a perfectly regulated nervous system. It's about noticing where you've mistaken familiarity for truth. She talks about the running dialogue that keeps so many high performing women small: I'm not the kind of woman who does that, I'm not ready for that room, people like me don't get to do that. Ally calls these inherited ceilings, old stories and old patterns, and if you're a high performer, you may have already outgrown several old versions of yourself while still carrying invisible limits from who you used to be. You'll hear Ally's simple practice for spotting where this shows up for you: choosing one area (money, visibility, leadership, love, creativity, health, influence or freedom), naming the limit you've accepted, and asking what would become possible if this limit wasn't the whole truth. You don't need to leap immediately. You just need to loosen the grip of the old story. There's more available to you than your old limits could possibly imagine. Timestamps 00:00:08 Today's topic: feeling limitless 00:00:33 What feeling limitless doesn't mean 00:01:16 Letting go of old limits that make decisions harder 00:01:39 The stories we tell ourselves: "I'm not the kind of woman who does that" 00:02:03 Inherited ceilings, old stories, old patterns 00:02:34 Living as though the ceiling is real when it's just familiar 00:03:07 Questioning who made the rules 00:03:38 The limit usually isn't your capability. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on How to Build Confidence

Nobody has ever asked Ally to help them feel less confident. It's the one thing that comes up in almost every conversation she has with leaders and high performing women, and yet most people are waiting for it to just show up. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke CSP breaks down why confidence rarely arrives before action, it's built by taking it. She explains why she believes confidence is really courage compounding: the more you step into discomfort and survive it, the more evidence your nervous system collects that you're going to be okay. Ally shares her own experience building the confidence to speak on stages in front of large audiences, and why that took deliberate, repeated discomfort rather than a lucky bolt of self-belief. She also unpacks the "echo of life" idea, the effort you put in today doesn't always show up straight away, and the size of the delay is usually proportionate to the size of the goal. You'll hear why thinking your way into confidence doesn't work any better than thinking your way into fitness, and the one question Ally wants you asking before you take your next step: what would the confident version of me do today? If you've been waiting to feel confident before you move, start smaller than your ego wants and more consistently than your fear expects. One tiny, brave move today, then let the evidence land. Timestamps 00:00:40 Confidence is the number one thing everybody asks for 00:01:11 Confidence is courage compounding 00:01:28 Why women wait for confidence to arrive before they move 00:03:59 Action comes before confidence, not the other way around 00:04:17 The "echo of life": why effort doesn't show up instantly 00:05:09 What your nervous system learns every time you do the hard thing 00:07:31 The next layer of confidence is on the other side of the action you keep avoiding 00:08:48 The question to ask: what would the confident version of me do today 00:09:22 Confidence is a practice, not a personality trait Connect with Ally Nitschke CSP Madeformore.com.au Connect with me on LinkedIn. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on Building Self-Trust

Self-trust gets mistaken for always knowing the answer, never doubting yourself, or being perfectly confident in every decision. Ally reckons that's actually a sign something has gone a little sideways. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke CSP unpacks what self-trust really is: the relationship you have with yourself when things get uncertain, and whether you can dig into your own instinct and go, I've got me. She talks candidly about her own experience running a business, travelling most weeks and raising four young kids, and how asking for support before she collapses has been one of the hardest lessons in trusting herself. She draws the distinction between trusting your capability to get things done and trusting yourself to actually honour your own needs, say no when something isn't aligned, and disappoint someone when the truth requires it. You'll hear why self-trust is built through follow-through and the small promises you keep to yourself, not through perfectionism, and Ally's simple journaling prompt for spotting where you've been breaking trust with yourself, without any of the shame. If you've been waiting to feel more confident before you trust yourself, this episode is the reminder that it works the other way around. Pick one small promise today, and keep it. Timestamps 00:00:35 Self-trust: one of the most powerful foundations you can build 00:01:02 The relationship you have with yourself when things are uncertain 00:02:00 Why this gets complicated for high performing women 00:02:38 Trusting your capability vs trusting yourself to honour your needs 00:03:50 How self-trust is actually built: through follow-through 00:04:16 Choosing alignment over approval 00:05:34 Boundaries, tough conversations, and saying no 00:06:08 Journaling prompt: where have you been breaking trust with yourself 00:07:03 One small promise you can keep today Connect with Ally Nitschke CSP Madeformore.com.au Connect with me on LinkedIn. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on Future Self Energy

"Future self energy" can sound like code for 5am cold plunges, celery juice, and a version of you that's got it all figured out. That's not what this episode is about. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke CSP reframes future self energy as something far simpler than perfection: it's permission. Permission to stop waiting until life calms down, until confidence arrives, until someone hands you approval, and to start moving like the woman you're becoming right now. She talks about how your future self isn't sitting years away waiting for you to catch up. She's already here, already part of you, and you can borrow her clarity, her courage and her standards today. Ally shares the exact questions she asks her own clients to pull them out of autopilot: what would the next version of me choose right now, in this email, this meeting, this price, this yes or no. You'll hear Ally's simple, repeatable practice for backing yourself before the external evidence arrives, and why she wants you to stop waiting for some "certificate of life" that says you're ready. You get to write that one yourself, and you can put today's date on it. If you've been waiting for the right moment, the right confidence, or someone else's permission before you move differently, this episode is your reminder that she's already here. Stop waiting and start acting like it. Ally Nitschke's Pep Talk on Owning Your Power

Owning your power sounds like it should be a big, dramatic moment: walking into a room to a soundtrack, commanding every eye. In reality, it's much quieter than that, and for a lot of high performing women, it's something they keep waiting for permission to do. In this episode of Food for the Soul, Ally Nitschke CSP unpacks what owning your power actually looks like day to day: not dominating a room, but trusting what you already know and stepping into your moment without waiting for someone else's approval first. She talks about why so many high performing women shrink their own sentences: softening a price, padding a boundary with three paragraphs of explanation, holding back a name they should have already put forward. And she reminds you of one simple truth: your power is not something someone else gives you. Titles, applause and recognition are lovely, but they were never the source. You'll hear Ally share a line from Brené Brown that she keeps coming back to, don't shrink, don't puff up, just stand your sacred ground, and she'll help you spot exactly where you're shrinking right now: in a meeting, in your pricing, in your leadership, in your visibility, or in a relationship. If you've been waiting for someone to tell you that you're ready, credible or capable, this episode is your permission slip. Consider it granted. Timestamps 00:00:21 What owning your power actually feels like (it's not a Beyoncé moment) 00:01:33 Stop waiting for permission 00:02:07 Why this is such a big topic for high performing women 00:03:53 Your power is not something someone else gives you 00:04:35 Choosing to step into it, imperfectly, starting now 00:05:24 Getting comfortable being "wanty" and clear 00:05:39 Brené Brown: stand your sacred ground 00:06:52 Where are you shrinking?
