    The Bread of Life

This sermon examines John chapter 6, arguing that the primary obstacle to salvation is not a lack of evidence or misunderstanding, but the spiritual condition of unbelief. The preacher contrasts those who seek Christ for physical sustenance or earthly benefits with those who truly believe, emphasizing that the Holy Spirit must regenerate the heart to enable faith. By rejecting the doctrine of God's sovereignty in election, the crowd and many disciples demonstrate the same sinful desire for autonomy that led to the Fall. The text highlights that true saving faith involves a spiritual union with Christ, where believers partake of His life rather than merely His benefits. Peter's confession serves as the model of genuine faith, which rests in Christ's person and words of eternal life despite imperfect theological understanding, while Judas represents the danger of false profession motivated by self-interest.

A Lecture On The Error Of Calvinism

The sermon presents a comprehensive refutation of Calvinism, arguing that its core tenets contradict the character of God, the clarity of Scripture, and the reality of human free will. The speaker challenges the doctrine of unconditional election and limited atonement by citing numerous biblical passages that affirm God's universal love and the availability of salvation to all people. By contrasting the Calvinist view of total depravity and irresistible grace with the biblical order of hearing, repentance, and faith, the lecture asserts that salvation is a result of human response rather than divine coercion. The tone is instructional and convicting, aiming to equip believers to identify and reject what is described as a deceitful theological system that undermines the sovereignty of God as revealed in the Bible.

    Can You Hear Him Calling

This sermon explores the theological concept of God's holy calling, emphasizing that it is a sovereign act of grace determined before the foundation of the world rather than a result of human effort or merit.
