You hit it right on the bullseye with the Joel Osteen comments... he's smart...he is a businessman. See the world is so scared to be told what God considers good and what is bad. We want to live in a fantasized world where everything is fine and dandy, where there are no problems, where whatever we do is our "free will" and as a result, nothing is wrong. I personally believe someone that is battling homosexual desires can enter the kingdom of GOd, and yes, acting on it is a SIN. I have been struggling with homosexual desires for a very long time (since I can remember) and have tried so hard to stay in God's path. Has it been easy? OF COURSE NOT! Is it easy for a "straight man" to live a celibate life until he marries his future wife? OF COURSE NOT! Many of us, our faith is tested through tribulation we cannot fathom. I am stuck with the constant struggle of homosexual desires. DO I like it? NO! Have I tried living life lukewarm? yes, and it is unfulfilling because I know that there is no in between. I cannot serve my carnal desires and God at the same time. Have I tried giving my back to God entirely and indulging myself in the homosexual lifestyle, yup. It only brought temporary satisfaction and tons of heartache. Do I dislike people that make their children stand in front of X place holding sings that say "God hates F****" Of course, because children should not be taught hatred at such an early age, and much less with that language. It is so sad to see that those that are not christian cannot see where we are coming from. HOWEVER, it is also difficult for us to completely agree with them, even if they try to convince us to think their way. In the end, it's a tug-o-war, where what we can do is pray and ask God to touch peoples lives and show them His path. We can only do so much.
