    Andrew Curry returned to The Time Machine this week to debut two more songs from the upcoming album project "Here Comes The Reign Again: The Second British Invasion". Andrew shared Ken Stringfellow's arrangement of The Blow Monkey's "Digging Your Scene" and the Madness classic "Our House" performed by The Corner Laughers. Both songs made their world broadcast debut this past week and it was a perfect opportunity to have singer-songwriter and producer Ken Stringfellow (The Posies, Big Star and R.E.M.) on the broadcast to discuss his participation with the forthcoming release along with singer-songwriter Karla Kane talking about her bands The Corner Laughers and Agony Aunts. This week also saw the release of Fernando Perdomo's latest song "Girl With A Record Collection" off of his upcoming album "Warm" along with a music video of the single to coincide with National Record Store Day. Fernando returned to The Time Machine for a conversation about record stores and the women who love their record collections. A brand new stripped down cover of the seventies classic Raspberries song "Go All The Way" from Lisa Mychols was also featured on the radio show.     Singer-songwriter Boz Scaggs was a guest on The Time Machine. He discussed his recent album "Memphis" and shared his thoughts on his classic 1976 album "Silk Degrees". His music has remained a staple of The Time Machine's playlists for decades and it was a pleasure to have Boz on as a guest before his concert on Maui this week.     Susanna Hoffs Returns To The Time Machine With UNDER THE COVERS Vol.3

    Rockers Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs have just released their third album together. "Under The Covers Vol.3" is their third album of covers that the duo put together from the songbooks of other artists that they both feel passionate about. Susanna returned to The Time Machine Radio Show last week to share the latest batch of songs. The gifted artist discussed the inspiration behind some of the songs off of the new album. She also discussed with The Time Machine's radio show host, Michael McCartney, the previous two albums from the duo known affectionately as Sid 'n' Susie (Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs), as well as her 2012 album "Someday", which became the most played album on the air for The Time Machine out of all of the records released in 2012. If you're not familiar with the album series that Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs have been recording and releasing, what you essentially need to know is that the first album covered sixties material (with the exception of the early seventies classic Bee Gees song "Run To Me"). The second album "Under The Covers Vol. 2" dove into the seventies and this latest album naturally dips into the eighties. Dips may not be the correct choice of wording. This new album plunges into the eighties and both Matthew and Susanna's song choices are so inspired that this collection of songs are a must have for your music collection. Susanna is a core artist of The Time Machine's radio format going back to the eighties with her fellow band mates Vicki Peterson, Debbi Peterson and Michael Steele of The Bangles. The band, along with The Traveling Wilburys, were the most played act on The Time Machine and helped define a sound for the radio broadcast that embraced a sixties musical sensibility with the modern music scene of the time. All four albums from The Bangles in the eighties solidified their status as radio core artists on The Time Machine and their return in 2003 with "Doll Revolution" was welcomed with open arms. The domination of that album's airplay was so strong that it became the most played album of the decade followed by Rachael Yamagata's debut album "Happenstance", "Not Ready To Make Nice" by The Dixie Chicks, Bruce Springsteen's "The Rising", Alice Peacock's self titled sophomore album, "Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones, John Mayer's "Room For Squares", "Mondo Magneto" by Brian Ray, "Lurch" from Mike Viola, "Brainwashed" by George Harrison, Nushu's "Nevermind Lullabye" and Rilo Kiley's "More Adventurous". Susanna found this old flyer to share for a June 13th, 1981 performance of The Colours, before the band became The Bangles, in the basement of the Echo Park Methodist Church Other artists heard on this Maui afternoon FM broadcast include The Bangles, Rachael Yamagata and Ronnie Spector.
