The Holy King, The Begotten Son

This sermon explores Psalm 2 as a Messianic psalm that reveals the conflict between the nations' rebellion and God's sovereign response. The message identifies the central tension as the world's futile plotting against the Lord and His anointed, contrasted with the Father's laughter and the installation of Christ as the eternal King on Zion. It affirms the doctrine of Christ's eternal sonship, explaining that the Father's declaration of the Son is an unchanging decree that predates creation. The preacher calls the audience to recognize their position in this cosmic drama, urging them to make themselves wise by submitting to Christ's authority. The final appeal is a warning to those who reject the King and a comfort to those who take refuge in Him, emphasizing that salvation is found only in embracing the Son.

    Another Comforter

This sermon explores the promise of the Holy Spirit as the 'Comforter' who abides with believers forever, addressing the disciples' need for aid in the face of Jesus' impending departure. It identifies the Spirit as the Helper and Spirit of Truth, emphasizing His permanence and indwelling presence which contrasts with the temporary physical presence of Christ. The message highlights that the world cannot receive the Spirit because it is spiritually blind, whereas believers know Him through His internal dwelling. It further explains that the Spirit provides assurance of salvation and the power for resurrection, while also enabling a deep fellowship with God through loving obedience and submission to His commands. The sermon concludes by challenging believers to examine their daily submission to the Spirit to experience the fullness of this divine abode.

    Behold Your God! Isaiah 40

This sermon explores Isaiah 40 written about 700 years before Christ. The central theme is the imminent arrival of the Lord, identified as the divine King and Christ, whose coming will reveal His glory to all flesh. The text contrasts the transient nature of humanity, described as withering grass, with the eternal stability of God's Word, which stands forever. The preacher highlights the paradox of God's immense cosmic power, who measures the heavens and weighs the mountains, with His tender intimacy as a shepherd who gathers and carries His lambs. Ultimately, the sermon calls for bold proclamation of this good news, affirming that God's redemptive work is accomplished in Jesus's work and His people are His secure inheritance. Unfortunately, the camera failed before the end of the message so this is just a portion of the message.

    Can you hear me God?

This sermon explores the emotional and spiritual depth of Jeremiah's lament in Lamentations, highlighting how the prophet felt abandoned and burdened by God's judgment on Jerusalem. The message contrasts this feeling of isolation with the enduring truth of God's faithfulness, using the parallel narrative of Job to illustrate how suffering can lead to spiritual refinement. It emphasizes that while human relationships may fail or become bitter, God's mercies are new every morning and never fail. The preacher encourages the audience to shift their focus from their circumstances to the Savior, reminding them that God is present even in the darkest times. Ultimately, the sermon calls for a daily meditation on Scripture as a source of strength and a reminder that God has not forsaken His people.
