Hurry Up

This short psalm is a song of remembrance. This psalm is almost exactly like part of Psalm 40. However, this psalm has a repeated phrase "Hurry." The psalmist is need of desperate help and he calls on God to move His plan quicker. His desire is for the people of God to be blessed and for wicked men to receive justice. The psalm reminds that it is okay to ask for God to hurry.

Keep In Perfect Peace

• Brother Dustin Wright connected trust with waiting for God's promises. God will swallow up death and wipe away tears (Isaiah 25:8). Though this promise is not yet fulfilled, it is certain. • Christian hope is not wishful thinking. It is confidence based on God's unfailing Word and His sustaining power throughout history. Since God's promises are trustworthy, believers can wait humbly and confidently. • The desire expressed in Isaiah 26:8–9 is for God Himself: "Your name and remembrance are the desire of our soul." Brother Dustin taught that the deepest satisfaction is knowing God and living so that others see His glory. • He connected this desire with Jesus' prayer, "Hallowed be Your name" (Matthew 6). To hallow God's name is to revere, honor, and glorify Him. Jesus perfectly honored the Father in all He said, thought, and did, and modeled a life aimed at the Father's will. • Brother Dustin warned that desiring anything more than God is covetousness and idolatry. Christians are to desire God supremely while still carrying out everyday responsibilities.

The Gospel Message – Part 1 - The Deity of Christ - Ephesians 2:1-10

This sermon defines the gospel not as a program for personal success or social justice, but as the exclusive work of Jesus Christ, who is fully divine and fully human. The Message emphasizes that salvation is by grace alone through faith alone, highlighting the believer's transition from spiritual death to life through the imputation of Christ's righteousness. Central to this understanding is the doctrine of the Trinity, which affirms the deity of Christ as essential for His ability to bear the sins of the world. Elder Brian warns against heresies that diminish Christ's divinity, such as Arianism and modalism, arguing that only a divine Christ can offer sufficient atonement. The sermon concludes with the observance of the Lord's Supper as a solemn remembrance of this sacrificial love and a call to examine one's heart before partaking. Scripture References: Ephesians 2:1-10 Psalm 2:7-8 John 3:16 2 Corinthians 5:21 John 14:6 Colossians 3:1-4 Mark 1:10-11 Titus 3:4-6 Galatians 4:4-6 Colossians 1:15-20 Philippians 2:7 The Lord's Supper John 6:53-54 1 Corinthians 11:27-29 1 Corinthians 11:23-24 1 Corinthians 11:25-26 Benediction 2 Corinthians 13:14

Our Communion

The sermon examines the abuse of the Lord's Supper in the Corinthian church, where social divisions and selfishness undermined the gospel message of unity in Christ. It argues that such factions deny the oneness of believers and defile worship, contrasting the Corinthian behavior with the biblical call to prefer others and maintain scriptural order. The teaching emphasizes that the ordinance is Christ-centered, serving as a remembrance of His sacrifice and a proclamation of His death until He returns. By referencing the regulative principle of worship and the eschatological hope of the future kingdom, the message urges the congregation to receive the Supper with reflection, thanksgiving, and a conscious awareness of their shared identity as the body of Christ.
