    Naked as Created

    A discussion with some of the cast-and-crew behind Naked as Created: The Pastor Jim Moore Story, a new Christian naturist feature film based on the real life of naturist pastor Jim Moore. Producer, co-writer, and actor Tim Chizmar walks through how the project grew out of a collaboration with Moore on his father’s book series. But he then saw the story potential of dramatizing Moore’s own journey about being “outed” as a nudist pastor with the backlash, and freedom, that followed. Moore, his real-life daughter Rachael Moore (who stepped into a lead role after the original actress was unable to participate), lead actor Christopher Michelli, antagonist actor Dan Hawkins, Melody Munson, and Dana Trantham each share what it took to bring the film to life on a minuscule $150,000 budget and a 12-day shoot upended by the 2025 Southern California fires.     Introducing Jessica

    Since her first naturist experience as part of the office team at Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park in 2022, Jessica’s involvement in naturism has grown exponentially. First by going from taking a temporary seasonal job on a whim to taking a risk in making it a full-time career; but also by going well beyond mere employment to being a dedicated activist for the values of the naturist movement. Along the way, her experiences have changed her in ways she did not expect. Now she takes on responsibilities for editing and producing this podcast. In this episode, Jessica recounts her journey.     Blind Naturist

    Much of the issue around nudity has to do with either being seen nude or seeing others that way. Therefore naturism for a person without sight should be easier – but it is not. Accessibility for those with disabilities is a challenge throughout the world. For those who participate in naturism, it is no easier. Most beaches are in remote and difficult to access locations. Many clubs and resorts were built decades ago and have limited adaptations for disabled people. What is even more problematic is the lack of understanding from many people in the community.     CAMP Zipolite

    Zipolite’s history as a surfing destination for hippies in the 60’s laid the ground work for today’s free-spirited atmosphere and acceptance of nudity. In recent years, it has become well-known for the enormously popular annual nudist festival. But within the village lies an even more interesting space known as CAMP. A place to gather, stay, and grow that is very specifically designed with “social architecture to support amongness.” When you stay, you become part of a social experiment in community. Anthony and Ernest explain the vision behind this unique venue.     Esperanto

    Naturists have always seen the movement as one that can bring humanity together. International gatherings started in 1951 and led to the formation of the International Naturist Federation in 1953. But while we have our naturist values in common, the many languages of the world still make communicating challenging. What if there was a common language for everyone? A simple language with consistent grammar rules that was easy to learn? One that was everyone’s second language so that nobody has a native advantage? That was the idea behind Esperanto when it was created in 1887 and a group of naturists have been promoting it for many decades. Thierry Spanjaard tells us the vision and the fascinating story behind Esperanto in naturism.     President Weber

    Often non-profit organizations struggle to find volunteers to fill the leadership roles. Yet in the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) 2024 election, there were two very solid candidates for president. Tim Mullins is a hard-working, dedicated, and long-time member of the executive. But the winner, Linda Weber, is relatively new to the AANR leadership. However, she already had a significant public profile due to her tireless social media work and public advocacy.
