    You Can't Block Anything | Packers Therapy #510

    Chris and Dave can’t start with football, because the Milwaukee Brewers just won the World Series. Two Wisconsin guys who lived through 1982 take a few minutes to sit in it, including the thirteen-year-old who had to watch Game 7 surrounded by Cardinals fans and went home and cried. Then it’s back to a 27-19 win over Carolina that moves the Packers to 5 and 3 and the seventh seed, with all four NFC North teams currently in the playoff field. The Brewers become the measuring stick, and not favorably. There’s admiration for a manager whose gut you can trust and an organization that uses every tool it has, set against a Packers team that won’t pivot off the run and an offensive line that may be beyond fixing this season. The conversation turns serious on Josh Jacobs, the new allegations, and what it means for an organization that sells itself on being community owned and different. Neither man pretends to know what happened, both wrestle with it honestly, and both land in roughly the same uncomfortable place. Elsewhere there’s real appreciation for what Jonathan Gannon’s defense is doing without Micah Parsons, worry about what happens when he returns, and continued exasperation at a team leading the league in drops and a kicker leading the league in misses. The betting lines return after a week off, with a perfect ten out of ten getting one more round of applause and a plaque that cannot be screwed into the walls of the hotel and casino. There’s also a listener question up for a vote in the comments: should the show go back to the old theme music? Next is Gillette Stadium on Sunday against a 5-3 Patriots team, where Chris promises a close shave and Christian Watson may be playing on a broken rib.     Despite Their Best Efforts, The Packers Get The Win l Lemps Talkin' Pack #268

    The Green Bay Packers defeated the Carolina Panthers 27-19 on Thursday Night Football, improving to 5-3 in the 2026 NFL season. But despite the victory at Lambeau Field, Chris Lempesis has plenty to say about Jordan Love, Matt LaFleur's play-calling, Green Bay's nonexistent rushing attack, and an offense seemingly determined to keep opponents alive. On this episode of Lemps Talkin' Pack, Chris breaks down a Packers win that should have been comfortable but somehow became another fourth-quarter adventure. First, some actual good news! Jonathan Gannon's defense continues to develop into something special.     At Least We Have Games in Paris | Packers Therapy #509

    Chris and Dave do a quick check-in after a 20-17 last-second loss in Detroit that drops the Packers to 4-3. The inbox is full and nobody is writing about the running game. Listeners all showed up with the same complaint, and rants are apparently not safe for the family. But the guys only spend a few minutes on the flags themselves before turning to a harder question: given that this is the product now, what is a fan actually supposed to do with it? That question splits them in a way that’s more honest than the usual back and forth. One of them watches every week knowing better, gets sucked in by the third quarter anyway, and wonders if the anger is just proof he’s still alive. The other has already watched the NBA lose him entirely in five years and is seriously considering recording games and only watching the wins. There’s a comparison to the AI bubble, a theory about what flopping quarterbacks have done to the sport, and genuine admiration for how baseball fixed itself while football went the other direction. They agree on what the Packers should do about it, which involves Matt LaFleur, midfield, and a headset getting stomped into the turf. The actual football is bleak. A kicker who disappears inside a dome from 26 yards. An offensive line that’s an original sin. A third-string center named John Williams who came in and played great, which raises the obvious question of where he’s been. And a receiving corps leading the league in drops, with Josh Jacobs announcing his return by dropping a touchdown.
