Corner of the Galaxy is a bi-weekly Internet Radio Show dedicated to covering the LA Galaxy. On this episode of Corner of the Galaxy, Josh Guesman is joined by Southern California News Group reporter Damian Calhoun to break down where the Galaxy stand with only six games remaining. And the schedule is about to accelerate dramatically: LA will play three of those final six matches in just seven days, putting Greg Vanney’s roster depth, rotation, and playoff hopes under enormous pressure. The biggest question surrounds Chucky Lozano, who left Mexico’s camp with what Vanney described as a hamstring injury. For the first time this season, LA has won back-to-back games, and with only six matches remaining, the Western Conference playoff race has taken a dramatic turn.     Riqui Puig is getting closer to his LA Galaxy return — and he's looking at soccer differently after two devastating knee injuries. Corner of the Galaxy goes live from Dignity Health Sports Park with Puig making a rare public appearance to discuss his ACL recovery, the difficulty of enduring two surgeries and his excitement at finally getting back onto the training field. Puig explains why his knee now feels stronger and more stable, how the experience changed his appreciation for being a professional soccer player, and why simply touching a ball again means so much. Puig also looks ahead to an intriguing LA Galaxy midfield featuring Sergi Roberto and delivers a strong endorsement of head coach Greg Vanney. Puig believes the Galaxy's recent signings have made the team competitive again and asks supporters to "trust the process," pointing to the club's journey from missing the playoffs in 2023 to winning MLS Cup in 2024.
