Episode 187 - You Could Smell The Desperation.

I just listened to this show for the first time. Episode #187 was so sad but I'm very certain it was not meant to be. You could literally smell the desperation in the air as the interviewed antique sellers were trying every tactic in the book to convince the current young generation to buy thier antiques! Yes, the hard sell and the pulling on every emotional chord possible to convince today's young generation to buy antiques.

They were litteally quiverring in their boots to have the chance to express this.

Yes, we know the market has slumped in the past 10 years. Yes, we know the current generation is not interest in brown antiques (at least prior to the 50's). But please, have some ethics. Don't try to convince them to start purchasing, because oh my god! There might be a fire and these antiques won't be around for you or your loved ones in the future! ROFLOL!

Sorry to be so cynical lol, but if it wasn't so funny, it would be sad.

I give the show 3 stars for now, but I will update in the future in hopes that this show doesn't turn into a forum for the constant lement of angst ridden antique dealers.
