    Ninth Edition Dark Angels

    Ninth Edition Dark Angels

Last episode, we looked at the latest Chaos codex, and in this episode… no, that joke is too easy. Yes, the Dark Angels truly have a shameful secret that they fight to protect, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have nice things! In this episode, we delve into the last of the Space Marine founding chapter codex supplements and take a look at what the boys from the Rock bring to the table now. Can they equally support Greenwing, Deathwing, and Ravenwing builds? Is the Azrael brick still a viable build? Do Deathwing Terminators finally live up to their name? We join the Inner Circle and try to answer these questions and more. Also, news and new releases, your listener mail, hobby progress, and a punchy Morale Phase!

    Ninth Edition Death Guard

    Ninth Edition Death Guard

The book may have been delayed due to a new COVID lockdown in the UK, but everyone knows that a disease will never keep a Plague Marine down. In this episode, we take a look at the new 9th Edition Death Guard codex. We’ve talked for a few weeks about some of the upcoming changes, but now it’s time to put it all together. How does this version of Mortarion’s legion play? Are they still as resilient as ever? Are they able to finally do damage? Is the Primarch of the Death Guard still worth taking? We talk about all this and more! Also, news and new releases, your listener mail, hobby progress, and the Morale Phase!

    The Year That Was 2020

    The Year That Was 2020

2020 was… not the year that anyone has hoped for. Not even remotely. A global pandemic brought a lot of things to a standstill, as we lived through (and may still be experiencing) lockdowns, event cancellations, strict occupancy and spacing limits, and the difficulty in being together without putting each other in danger. Even with all that, though, Warhammer 40K carried on, and not even Nurgle’s finest could stop what Games Workshop had planned for us. In this episode, we look back at the year that was 2020, and how things shaped up in an environment when we couldn’t get our game on as freely as we once could. New models, new codexes, even a new edition of the game – how did it all go down in this dumpster fire of a year? Also, news and new releases, your listener mail, hobby progress, and the Morale Phase!

    Ninth Edition Blood Angels

    Ninth Edition Blood Angels

The Ninth Edition codex rollout continues, and in this episode we take a look at the next-to-last of the founding chapters to get the codex supplement treatment – the Blood Angels! How do the Sons of Sanguinius fare with being mostly rolled back into the main Space Marine codex? How are the Death Company reflected in the rules? Which assault-based marine army reigns supreme? We dive into the book in this episode and answer these questions and more. Also, news and new releases, including a trio of event cancellations, your listener mail, hobby progress, and a Morale Phase from a galaxy far, far away.

    Ninth Edition Space Wolves

    Ninth Edition Space Wolves

We had to fight technical issues and holiday scheduling, but may sagas be sung of our deeds – the Space Wolf codex supplement review is finally here! No longer a stand-alone codex, how did the Space Wolves handle the conversion to being an add-on to Space Marines? Do they still have all of their viking wolf flavor? What units got enhanced, and what got nerfed? And did they finally make good Reivers? We try to answer those questions and more. Also, news and new releases, your listener mail, hobby progress, and a truly animated Morale Phase!

    Ninth Edition Deathwatch

    Ninth Edition Deathwatch

The books just keep on coming, and this time we take a look at the new Deathwatch supplement. When first announced as an add-on to the standard Space Marine codex, we weren’t sure GW could pull this off, given how different it was from a typical Astartes army. But have they managed to thread the needle? How does this army work manage to mesh mixed-unit kill teams with combat doctrines, Primaris marines, and all the other tools from the main codex? Most importantly, does it feel like a Deathwatch army, or just black-and-silver marines? We take a look at the book and try to answer those questions and more. Also, news and new releases, your listener mail, hobby progress, and a Morale Phase with no mercy!

Kwaidon ,

Great

This is my favorite 40k podcast. They tend to stay on the topic of 40k, and are mostly PG. I listen in an office, and many podcasts will offend people. These guys are safe. I find them very entertaining!
Rob played a game with my son, when he was learning how to play, so he’s still proud he learned to play against a 40k celebrity!

Few guys at a table talking 40k

This podcast has the feel of a few guys sitting around talking 40k. Less professional than some 40k podcasts but nothing wrong with that. I find the lost reviews to be tedious and uninteresting generally fast forward through those parts. Sound quality could use improvement at times. Otherwise very enjoyable and I enjoy a similar take on the hobby that myself and similar members of the community share!

Thank you!

Always in my rotation.
