    Why Did Jesus Have To Die? Lies We Believe About God

    Perhaps the greatest lie ever believed in Christianity is the reason that Jesus had to die and who killed him. The conventional view is that Jesus was punished in our place for our sins by the Father. The theological term for this view is called Penal Substitution.  But is that the truth?
