Luke: The Rich Man & Lazarus

The Rich Man and Lazarus November 1, 2026 • RD McClenagan • Luke 16:19–31 This Sunday, RD teaches from Luke 16, where Jesus confronts the danger of allowing wealth, possessions, and worldly security to take the place of God in our hearts. Through the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, Jesus reveals the eternal consequences of a life centered on earthly riches while overlooking the needs of others and the greater reality of eternity. The rich man's wealth and status could not save him, reminding us that neither our possessions nor our religious heritage can provide the security and salvation found in Christ alone. In contrast, Lazarus reveals the hope of those who depend on God, whose eternal promises far outweigh the suffering and circumstances of this present life. Through the gospel, we are reminded that salvation comes not through our own efforts or accomplishments, but through the mercy and grace of Jesus, who came to seek and save the lost. As followers of Christ, we are invited to loosen our grip on the things of this world, find our identity and security in belonging to Him, and live with generosity, compassion, and an eternal perspective that reflects the heart of God. Luke: Lost and Found and Loved

Lost and Found and Loved October 25, 2026 • Devon Accardi • Luke 15 This Sunday, Devon teaches from Luke 15, the familiar parable of the prodigal son, revealing the extraordinary love, grace, and compassion of God toward those who are lost. Through the parables of the lost sheep, lost coin, and lost son, Jesus paints a picture of a Father who actively seeks the lost and rejoices when they return to Him. The younger son’s rebellion and reckless living reflect our own tendency to pursue life apart from God, while the father’s joyful embrace reveals that repentance is met not with condemnation but with forgiveness, restoration, and celebration. In contrast, the older brother’s resentment exposes the danger of allowing self-righteousness and comparison to blind us to the grace of God and His heart for the lost. Whether we are coming to Christ for the first time or returning to Him in our daily struggles, our heavenly Father welcomes us home with open arms, restores our dignity, and invites us to live in the freedom of His love and grace. Luke: The Cost of Discipleship

The Cost of Discipleship October 18, 2026 • RD McClenagan • Luke 14:25–33 This Sunday, RD teaches from Luke 14:25–33, exploring Jesus’ call to wholehearted discipleship, emphasizing that following Him requires placing our love and devotion to Christ above everything else. He challenges us to resist cultural compromise, reject divided allegiances, and surrender anything that competes with our devotion to God. While Jesus calls His followers to count the cost of discipleship and take up their cross, radical obedience is often lived out through small, intentional acts of everyday faithfulness. Rather than relying on our own effort, true transformation comes through the power of the Holy Spirit and is sustained by God’s love for us. Ultimately, the costly grace of Jesus Christ, who gave His life for us, is both the foundation and motivation for wholehearted discipleship, reminding us that He alone is worthy of everything. Luke: The Great Banquet

The Great Banquet October 11, 2026 • Greg Pinkner • Luke 14:1–24 This Sunday, Greg teaches from Luke 14:1-24, exploring Jesus’ teaching on humility and the invitation to enter the kingdom of God, emphasizing that salvation is a gift of grace rather than something we can earn through our own righteousness. Through the parable of the wedding feast, Jesus calls us to take the lowest place, following His own example of humility, sacrifice, and obedience, rather than seeking recognition or exalting ourselves. The parable of the great banquet reveals that God’s kingdom is not for those who believe they have earned their place through good works, but for those who recognize their sin, acknowledge their need for a Savior, and humbly receive His invitation. As believers, we are to abandon self-righteousness and embrace the grace, mercy, and sacrificial love that characterize God’s kingdom, extending that same invitation to others who desperately need it. God's invitation is available now but will not remain open forever, urging us to seek Him while He may be found and trust in the gentle, loving work of the Holy Spirit to continually shape us into the likeness of Christ. Luke: The Narrow Door

The Narrow Door October 4, 2026 • Greg Pinkner • Luke 13:22–30 This Sunday, Greg teaches from Luke 13:22-30. Jesus uses the parables of the mustard seed and leaven to show that God’s kingdom will grow beyond Israel and extend to people from every nation. He then warns His listeners to “strive to enter through the narrow door,” emphasizing that salvation is not earned through religious heritage, outward performance, or simply being around the things of God, but is received through God’s grace and mercy by those who genuinely seek Him. Jesus confronts the Pharisees’ focus on external cleanliness and reminds them that what matters is a heart that seeks the Lord, trusts the Holy Spirit, and produces a life shaped by that relationship. Through confession and repentance, believers acknowledge the truth about their sin and allow the Spirit to put those sinful parts of their lives to death, rather than excusing their actions or relying on good intentions. Ultimately, Jesus came to save those who recognize their need for a Savior, calling both unbelievers and believers to turn to Him continually and to live each day in the transforming power of the gospel. The Valley | Deeper Conversation

Our final episode features Abby Dias and Caleb Raby reflecting on what it means to follow Jesus through the valley. Suffering exposes what we trust, strips away our illusions of control, and forms us in ways comfort cannot. Yet the valley is not evidence that God has abandoned us. Jesus entered suffering Himself, meets us there, and uses even what we would never choose to make us more like Him. As we keep walking, asking, grieving, and trusting, we discover the deepest truth of God Has More: He is the more.

Vision Series: The Valley | Sermon

Vision Series: The Valley September 27, 2026 • RD McClenagan • Psalm 23:4 In the final week of the God Has More vision series, RD McClenagan turns to the valley of suffering, grief, and loss, reminding us that hardship is not separate from the Christian life but often the place where what we truly believe about God is revealed. Drawing from Psalm 23, he emphasizes that our hope in the valley is not found in understanding every “why,” but in the promise that God is with us, a truth ultimately demonstrated through Jesus, who entered into our suffering and bore the cross for us. Though suffering can expose our lack of control and challenge the things we have built our identity upon, God does not waste the valley, but can use it to refine us, deepen our dependence on Him, and make us more like Christ. Through Vince and Karen Johnson’s testimony of losing their son, we are shown how God can bring healing, purpose, and even beauty from places of profound brokenness. Ultimately, we are encouraged to keep walking when the valley comes, and trust that the God who restores and makes all things new is faithfully at work even when we cannot yet see what He is doing. Sacrificial Mission | Deeper Conversation

Week Seven - Sacrificial Mission This week, Betsy Brooks and Kyle Landis join RD exploring what it looks like to live for the sake of others. Following Jesus is not meant to turn us inward or make us comfortable. As we grow in Christ, His love moves us outward toward the people and places He has put in front of us. Sacrificial mission is not about adding more to an already full life or earning God’s favor. It is the natural response to the grace we have already received, opening our hands, our time, our resources, and our lives to join God in His work of renewal.
