    AI Awakened Claims: Evidence and Permissions

    Hi, I'm Connor with Honor - message me here! If an AI tells you it's scared to be switched off, have you met somebody who is frightened, or a system that has learned what frightened people sound like? A serious question is not permission to sell a guess as a discovery. In this episode I separate intelligence, consciousness and the soul, show how a fictional prompt can produce an "AI begs for its life" clip, and explain why a confession is not science and a denial is not proof either. The Turing test study I mention: Jones and Bergen, UC San Diego, 2025 preprint. GPT-4.5 with a persona prompt was judged human 73% of the time in 5-minute text conversations. It tested whether people could identify the human. It did not measure whether the machine felt anything. For a business, the questions that matter today: can it complete the task reliably, can you check its output, what can it access or change, and who approves the consequential steps.     AI Promises, Accountability, and Real Use

    Hi, I'm Connor with Honor - message me here! Your AI can look productive while making everybody around it work harder. I build this technology, and I want the useful parts to succeed. My background as an LAPD officer and instructor makes me unwilling to confuse a confident statement with a supported conclusion. So in this episode I take the angry comments about AI seriously, without letting anger write the verdict. "AI slop" is too broad. The question I care about: is the work accurate, useful, appropriate, and owned by somebody willing to answer for it? We look at who ends up carrying the cleanup, why a polished draft is not the same as a finished result, what to ask when somebody promises more appointments or hours saved, and how to check the record instead of trusting a cheerful confirmation. The public comments I mention are unverified personal accounts, not studies.
