    You Believe the Resurrection. Have You Surrendered? - Death to Life - Matthew S7E4

    The resurrection of Jesus changes everything. In Matthew 27–28, we witness the burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the greatest victory in human history. From the empty tomb to the eyewitness accounts of Mary Magdalene and the Roman guards, we see that knowing the truth about Jesus is not the same as surrendering our lives to Him. Through the contrasting responses to the resurrection, we are reminded that Jesus did not come simply to make us better people, but to make us new creations. While some chose to protect their earthly positions and possessions, Mary responded with worship and surrender. The same invitation remains for us today: to leave behind our old lives and follow the risen Savior. The empty tomb is proof that Jesus is who He says He is and that His promises can be trusted.     Trial and Crucifixion - Death to Life - Matthew S7E3

    Why did Jesus have to die on the cross? In Matthew 26–27, we witness the trial, suffering and crucifixion of Jesus, the most pivotal moment in human history. From Peter's denial and Judas' betrayal to Pilate's decision to please the crowd, we see the consequences of sin and the cost of surrendering to Christ. Through the release of Barabbas, we see a picture of the gospel: the guilty are set free while the innocent takes their place. Jesus willingly endured the cross to pay the debt we could never pay ourselves. Because God is just, sin must be paid for. Because God is love, He made the payment on our behalf. The cross is the ultimate demonstration of God's justice, love and grace. Through the finished work of Jesus, we are offered forgiveness, freedom and eternal life.     The Arrest of Jesus - Death to Life - Matthew S7E2

    When Jesus was arrested, four different responses were on display: surrender, misguided obedience, betrayal and outright rejection.     The Last Supper and Gethsemane - Death to Life - Matthew S7E1

    In Matthew 26, Jesus moves closer to the cross, showing us what true surrender, obedience and faithfulness look like. From the Last Supper to the Garden of Gethsemane, we see that following Jesus is not about relying on our own strength, but trusting Him even when obedience is difficult. Through the failures of Judas, Peter and the disciples, we are reminded that our worst moments do not have the final word. Jesus remains faithful even when we fall short.     Saturated Saturday: When God Doesn’t Do What You Think He Should — Pastor Jason Shepperd

    What happens to your faith when God doesn’t do what you think a good God should do? The gospel doesn’t promise a life without pain. It gives us hope in the middle of it. In 2 Samuel 12, David faces unimaginable loss and has a decision to make: will his pain cause him to stop seeking God, or lead him into deeper trust and surrender? Grace doesn’t disappear when pain enters our lives, and God’s character doesn’t change when our circumstances do.The gospel includes suffering, but it ends in resurrection.     Saturated Friday: What Is Keeping You From Going All In? — Pastor Jonathan Pokluda

    Jesus does not call us to halfway surrender. He calls us to go all in. In Luke 18, the rich young ruler had everything the world said he needed, but when Jesus asked him to surrender what he was holding onto, he walked away. This message challenges us to examine what may be keeping us from fully following Jesus and reminds us that nothing this world offers compares to the life found in Him.     Saturated Wednesday: Are you sleeping in the garden? — Pastor Robbie Gallaty

    In Matthew 26, just hours before the cross, Jesus brings three of His closest friends with Him to pray, yet they can’t stay awake with Him. Night 1 of Saturated was a call for us to wake up, get on our knees and seek the Lord. What if we spent less time telling God what to do and more time listening to what He’s saying? When was the last time you slowed down long enough to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit? The world needs a Church that is awake in the garden.
