In Matthew 7, Jesus confronts the judgmental spirit that so easily takes root in our hearts and calls His followers to something better—a life marked by grace, humility, and discernment.     In the Secret - Mountain to Mountain - Matthew S2E4

    In Matthew 6, Jesus warns us to beware of practicing our righteousness to be seen by others, reminding us that with God it’s not just what we do—it’s why we do it.  Giving, praying, and fasting can either be acts of worship or subtle performances for applause, and while we all know we must repent of our wretchedness, Jesus confronts us with the deeper need to repent of religious righteousness rooted in image instead of intimacy.
