    v2 Wrestling Special 26th August 2013 - Interview with Lex Luger

    Adam and Gavin are joined by a very special guest, former WCW World Champion and WWE main eventer "The Total Package" Lex Luger. Lex talks about his recently-released autobiography, Wrestling With The Devil, which details the personal demons that blighted his career, and the redemption that followed. He also answers questions about his career with great humility and candidness, from Ric Flair to the Lex Express to the hilarious story of his Wrestlemania debut to the tragic death of Miss Elizabeth. This is a fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable interview with one of the most famous names in the wrestling business.

    Interview with Zach Gowan

    Evening one and all. On a v2 wrestling special edition, Gavin and Adam were joined by the one time WWE superstar Zach Gowen. For those listeners to young to remember, Zach Gowen was in one of the most controversial storylines of the early 2000s, when he was propelled at just age 19 into a storyline which at one point involved Vince McMahon, Stephanie, Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle and Big Show (and of course the worlds current greatest wrestler, Matt Hardy). In the storyline, Zach, who in real life had his left leg amputated at the age of 8, was pitted against Mr McMahon in what was billed by Vince as the first ever "real" handicap match. For anyone who has seen the footage, what Zach achieved in the ring was quite incredible. And that amazing story continues today, long after Zach last appeared in WWE and TNA. Today Zach competes on the independent circuit in a role that he himself admits is the perfect showcase for his talents. Teaming with Gregory Iron (himself suffering from cerebral palsy), Zach has forged an amazing story of how anyone can achieve their dreams when they try. The interview is a fascinating, uplifting story of how Zach has embraced his skills in a positive way to help inspire those around him.     Interview with Mickie James

    Last night, I caught up with Mickie James as she touched down in Scotland for an event in Ayr with Pro Wrestling Elite. The road to Ayr was not the greatest, as Mickie had already lost her luggage, thanks to her airline, and had been delayed by more than 5 hours in getting to Glasgow. However, throughout my time with her, she seemed genuinely happy to be back in the UK, put on a great show against Nikki Storm and still made time to talk to v2 about wrestling, TNA, WWE and socks.
