Chronicles of the End Times

Russ Scalzo

Occasionally, people say, are we really in the last days? How do we know? Does it matter one way or another? We will try to answer these questions and many others in this study. But the most important question may be, how can we reach others with hope in these changing times? One part of prophecy is often emphasized over another, causing us to lose perspective and miss the blessing and beauty of prophecy in scripture. I have taken the information in this study from many authors and teachers who have their lives studying God's word. I have added some insight that the Holy Spirit taught me. With God's help, I have endeavored to keep the whole counsel of the word of God in full view to give us an accurate picture of Christ and His great love for a lost world. I pray that this will challenge you and cause you to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it has me preparing it. Let's begin!

    Revelation’s Throne Room

Send us Fan Mail Revelation is not a codebook for internet predictions, and it’s definitely not a place to cherry-pick symbols to fit today’s news cycle. I’m Russ Scalzo, and I recorded this teaching because I keep seeing the same pattern online: “I got a vision,” “I got a word,” and then a confident timeline that skips right past what the Bible actually says. If we want clarity, we have to start where Revelation starts: with the unveiling of Jesus Christ in glory and God addressing the church before the world-changing judgments begin. We move carefully through Revelation 4 and Revelation 5, where John is brought into heaven’s throne room and everything centers on worship, authority, and holiness. Then the tension rises with the sealed scroll. No one is worthy, John weeps, and suddenly the Lion of Judah appears as a Lamb who was slain. That moment matters because it frames the rest of end times prophecy: Jesus alone takes the scroll, and heaven calls him worthy because he ransoms people for God from every nation and makes them a kingdom of priests. Finally, we step into Revelation 6 and the opening of the first seals, including the rider on the white horse. I explain why that figure is not Jesus, how the Antichrist mimic fits the sequence, and why claims about “where we are right now” must line up with Jesus’ own words. If you want a steadier, Scripture-first approach to Revelation, listen through and then subscribe, share the episode, and leave a review so more people can find it. Support the show

    The Countdown Begins

Send us Fan Mail What if the most important headline isn’t about presidents, protests, or pipelines but about God’s agenda moving forward exactly as Scripture says it will? We open with a hard reset on discernment, using Isaiah’s warning “to the law and to the testimony” to remind ourselves that any end times teaching that drifts from the Word of God leads to darkness, not clarity. We also lean on Romans 15:4 to show why the Old Testament still matters if we want real hope instead of panic. Then we turn to the Iran situation and the broader Middle East, including the claim that Islam functions as a political state system as much as a religion. That leads into a question listeners keep asking: where is America in the Bible, and how could a powerful nation fade from the end times stage? We talk about internal division, cultural hostility, and how a shift toward socialism and centralized control can change foreign policy faster than most people expect. From there, we walk through a plausible chain reaction: oil shocks drive diesel prices up, trucking costs surge, food prices jump, public unrest grows, and political priorities flip. In that kind of environment, it becomes easier to imagine Israel standing alone, which is a key condition many associate with Ezekiel 38 and 39. We close with the bigger prophetic arc: God’s intervention, the rise of the Antichrist, Isaiah 28’s “covenant with death,” the Mark of the Beast, and how modern technology even enables new forms of deception like AI worship. Part 1: Remembering 9/11 A Warning For Today

Send us Fan Mail The day the towers came down is not just a date on a timeline; it’s a sensory memory for millions of us. We all remember where we were on 9/11, what we saw. That personal thread matters because it’s getting harder to pass the weight of that day to people who only know it through documentaries, short clips, and secondhand commentary. We wrestle with what we’ve forgotten about sacrifice, both in war and in relief. We can criticize America and still tell the truth about the cost paid to resist evil and the massive humanitarian footprint of US food aid and rebuilding efforts after World War I and World War II and continuing today. I also address a chilling cultural turn I keep seeing: the move from mourning tragedy to hard-hearted people who say, “we deserved it.” That shift is not just political; it’s spiritual, and it exposes how lost we are and how easily our words can become weapons. I believe we have to check ourselves before we point fingers. Psalms warn us about tongues that cut, lies that spread, and the need to guard our mouths. We turn to modern threats, including Iran and its proxies, nuclear uncertainty, and the reality that danger doesn’t always arrive the way we expect. We land on urgency, prayer, and hope: mercy is new every morning, and we’re called to live alert, serve people well, and keep our eyes on Jesus even as the times grow darker. Part 2: Afghanistan’s Terror Camps Return And What It Means

Send us Fan Mail The scariest threats aren’t always new, they’re the old ones that quietly rebuild while we look away. We talk through claims that Afghanistan is seeing a Taliban resurgence alongside Al Qaeda, with training camps returning “bigger and stronger,” including sites tied to past attacks. That backdrop sets up a blunt question: if ideology doesn’t change and doctrine demands sacrifice, what should we expect next, and how should ordinary people think about risk without spiraling into fear? We also dig into the Kabul evacuation and why vetting matters when the stakes are life and death. The conversation highlights reported concerns about biometrics, watch lists, fingerprints, and detention records not being fully used during the rush, plus the broader problem of trying to screen people when information is incomplete. It’s not framed as a partisan fight. It’s a reality check about national security, border security, and the uncomfortable truth that terrorism doesn’t need a thousand openings, it only needs one. From there, we pivot to the heart of the message: spiritual readiness. We’re still paying bills, feeding families, and trying to stay afloat, but we don’t get to opt out of prayer, discernment, and a steady mind. We talk about weakness as the doorway to real strength, the Holy Spirit as the source of endurance, and the call to be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. We close with a clear stand on biblical truth, a commitment to love our neighbors across differences, and a reminder that the harvest is full of people who are confused and searching. Why The Enemy Hates Your Quiet Time

Send us Fan Mail A yoke is not just an old farming tool; it’s a picture of what’s directing your life right now. The Word challenges us to look honestly at the weight we’ve been carrying and asks a simple question with huge consequences: are we walking under the yoke of bondage, or are we walking side by side with Jesus under a yoke that is easy and light?  We unpack what Scripture says about spiritual oppression and spiritual rest, starting with Jesus’ invitation in Matthew 11 and moving to Isaiah’s promise that a burden can be lifted and a yoke broken. Russ explains how believers can drift without noticing, slowing down in prayer, stepping away from the Word, and trying to live on a label instead of a living relationship. That’s often when the enemy’s yoke “fits” again. But Isaiah 10:27 points to a different outcome: anointing built through closeness with God becomes so strong the yoke no longer fits at all.  Then we step into Isaiah 11 and the coming peace of Christ’s reign, where creation itself changes under the fullness of Jesus. The key verse ties it all together: the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Russ ends with a personal dream of overwhelming joy and the peace that passes understanding, a reminder that the world can offer distractions but never true peace. Welcome to Crazytown

Send us Fan Mail The headlines feel louder every week, but what if they’re also more connected than we want to admit? We zoom out and look at end times prophecy through a practical, current-events lens: the coming of Jesus Christ, the rise of the Antichrist, and the uncertainty around the rapture. I’m not trying to set dates. I’m trying to ask what happens when the world keeps moving toward fear, control, and total dependence on fragile systems. We start with the Middle East, talking through Iran tensions, the risk of escalation, and why Israel’s strike in northern Syria matters when Turkey is also pressing for influence in the region. From there, we connect the pieces to biblical prophecy, including Ezekiel 38–39, and the sense that multiple players are being positioned at once. Then we pivot to a topic most people keep separate from prophecy: energy. Global warming is part of the backdrop, but the real focus is electricity and scale. Wind and solar sound clean, yet AI data centers and server farms demand steady power 24/7 plus heavy cooling. When you do the math on gigawatts, land use, and reliability, the grid reality starts to collide with the tech gold rush and the pursuit of control. We close with Revelation 11:18 and a reminder to stay clear-eyed, share our testimony, and refuse the distractions that keep us divided. Who Controls The Machines That Control Us

Send us Fan Mail AI is moving fast, but the part that should keep us up at night isn’t the newest chatbot trick. It’s the incentive structure behind the entire AI economy, and how that structure can reshape human behavior, human work, and human freedom. We take a hard look at warnings from Tristan Harris, the former Google insider featured in The Social Dilemma, and we ask what happens when algorithms don’t just recommend videos, but nudge beliefs, amplify outrage, and quietly retrain our attention spans. We dig into the idea of an “intelligence curse,” where AI-generated GDP growth can make governments and companies less dependent on people. If machines produce more value than human labor, bargaining power collapses, and politics tilts toward whoever owns the systems. That leads straight into the biggest claim of the day: the real business model for advanced AI is not subscriptions or ads, it’s replacing human economic labor at scale. We talk job automation, artificial general intelligence, and why “AI will augment workers” can be a comforting story rather than a true forecast. From there, we connect the dots to Christian prophecy and end times concerns: centralized AI control, massive wealth concentration, digital dependency, and the fear of a one world economy that echoes the mark of the beast. We close with a call to stay awake, stay grounded, and let God use you actively rather than sitting back and hoping it all sorts itself out. Public Executions In Iran And Why They Happen

Send us Fan Mail Dawn hangings in a city square are not just a headline, they are a message of fear. We talk through what’s happening in Iran right now, why public executions are used to silence protest, and why it matters for anyone who cares about human rights, religious persecution, and the reality on the ground under the IRGC. We also remember something the news often misses: believers in Iran exist, they love Jesus, and many have suffered deeply for years.  From there, we zoom out to the bigger questions people are asking in private: Can the regime be overthrown? Will freedom return? Are global conflicts like the Ukraine Russia war and rising tension in the Middle East setting the stage for something larger? We connect those questions to Bible prophecy, especially Ezekiel 38 to 39 where Persia is named, and we ground the conversation in the conviction that God is not absent from history. Jeremiah 1:12 reminds us that the Lord watches over his word to perform it, even when the world looks like it is spinning into lawlessness.  Then we get practical. When fear rises, do we hide, obsess, or try to build a personal bunker? Or do we open the Word of God and let faith be rebuilt from the inside out? We read from Psalm 103 and focus on God’s compassion, justice for the oppressed, and mercy that reaches farther than our shame. We end with a clear challenge: pray for Iran, stay aware, and carry the message of reconciliation to people outside the church walls. If this encourages you, subscribe, share the episode, and leave a review so more listeners can find it. Support the show
