Episode 20: Fall Mini Series: The Fall Slump

Episode 20: Fall Mini Series 🍂 The Fall Slump The days are getting shorter, the temperatures are dropping, and suddenly the motivation we had all summer feels like it disappeared. Sound familiar? In this episode, we’re talking about the fall slump — why it’s so easy to lose momentum when routines change, schedules get busier, and the comfort of the couch starts calling our name. We’re chatting about how to navigate the seasonal shift, give ourselves grace without giving up on our goals, and find ways to keep showing up even when motivation is running low. Because life doesn’t stop just because we have goals, and progress doesn’t require perfection. Sometimes, it’s about adjusting the plan, finding your rhythm again, and remembering that small steps still count.

    Episode 19: Who am I besides mom/dad?

Episode 19: Who Am I Besides Mom/Dad? Somewhere between the diapers, practices, school events, meals, work, appointments, and everyone else’s needs… we can look up one day and wonder, “Who am I besides Mom? Besides Dad?” Having kids can be one of the greatest parts of our lives, but it can also be easy to lose pieces of ourselves along the way. Our hobbies change. Our friendships change. Our priorities change. And sometimes, without even realizing it, we become last on our own list. In this episode, we’re talking about what it feels like to lose yourself in parenthood—and, more importantly, how to start finding your way back. Because finding yourself again doesn’t mean loving your kids any less. It means remembering that you were a whole person before you became a parent… and you’re still in there. So who are you besides Mom or Dad? Maybe it’s time to find out. ❤️ Pull up a chair.

    Episode 18: Strong, Not skinny.

Episode 18: Strong, Not Skinny When did weight loss become less about being healthy and strong… and more about being skinny? Somewhere along the way, we were taught that smaller was better. That the goal was to shrink our bodies, fit into a certain size, and chase a number on the scale. But what if we’ve been measuring the wrong things all along? In this episode, we’re talking about the shift from wanting to be skinny to wanting to be strong—strong in our bodies, our minds, and our confidence. We’re unpacking where the obsession with thinness came from, how social media and diet culture have shaped the way we see ourselves, and what happens when we stop asking, “How much weight can I lose?” and start asking, “What is my body capable of?” Because maybe the goal was never to take up less space. Maybe it was to become stronger in the space we already occupy. Pull up a chair.

Episode 17: Self-Sabotage: Why Do We Keep Getting in Our Own Way?

Episode 17: Self-Sabotage — Why Do We Keep Getting in Our Own Way? Have you ever wanted something so badly… and then somehow found yourself doing the exact things that move you further away from it? You’re motivated. You make the plan. You swear this time will be different—and then life gets hard, your mood changes, you overthink, you procrastinate, or you fall back into the same patterns. So why do we keep getting in our own way? In this episode of Pull Up A Chair, we’re having an honest conversation about self-sabotage—where it comes from, the habits and thought patterns that keep us stuck, and why sometimes the biggest thing standing between us and the life we want is the way we respond to discomfort. We’re talking about perfectionism, fear of failure, fear of success, all-or-nothing thinking, waiting until we “feel ready,” and the stories we tell ourselves that make staying stuck feel safer than changing. Because maybe you don’t need a new plan. Maybe you need to stop abandoning yourself every time the plan gets hard. Pull up a chair, because this one might hit a little close to home.

Episode 16: Navigating Marriage Through The Busy Seasons

Episode 16: Navigating Marriage Through the Busy Seasons Marriage can feel a whole lot different when life gets busy. Between kids, work, sports, schedules, responsibilities, and trying to keep up with everyday life, it’s easy for your marriage to end up somewhere at the bottom of the priority list. In this episode of Pull Up A Chair, we’re talking about what it really looks like to navigate those busy seasons together—when date nights are few and far between, conversations become more about logistics than connection, and you’re both exhausted by the end of the day. We’re talking about staying connected when life feels chaotic, making time for each other without adding more pressure to the schedule, communicating when you’re running on empty, and remembering that you’re on the same team. Because sometimes marriage doesn’t need a grand gesture… it just needs two people intentionally choosing each other in the middle of the mess. So pull up a chair, grab your coffee, and let’s talk about marriage in the seasons when life feels anything but slow.

Episode 15: Fast Food, Drive-Thrus & Better Food Choices for Sports Parents

Episode 15: Fast Food, Drive-Thrus & Better Food Choices for Sports Parents Between practices, games, tournaments, school, work, and trying to keep everyone alive… sometimes the drive-thru is just what’s happening. In this episode of Pull Up A Chair, we’re talking about how sports parents can make better food choices without needing a perfect meal plan, with strategic planning and a packed cooler. We’re breaking down what to look for when you’re ordering fast food, how to build a more balanced meal, what choices can actually keep you full and fueled, and how to stop thinking that one drive-thru meal has “ruined” your day. Because eating healthy doesn’t have to mean eating perfectly—and real life doesn’t always come with a meal-prepped chicken and broccoli container. So pull up a chair, grab your coffee, and let’s talk about making realistic choices that work in the car, at the field, and in the middle of the chaos.

Episode 14: Why are we so tired? The mental load.

EPISODE 14: WHY ARE WE SO TIRED? — THE MENTAL LOAD Have you ever said, “I’m exhausted,” but couldn’t even explain exactly why? Because sometimes it’s not the workout.
It’s not the kids.
It’s not your job.
It’s not even the lack of sleep. It’s the mental load. The never-ending list running through your head:
Did everyone eat?
What’s on the calendar tomorrow?
Did I pay that bill?
What needs to be picked up?
Who needs an appointment?
What am I forgetting?
What does everyone else need from me? And somehow, even when you finally sit down… your brain doesn’t. In Episode 14 of Pull Up A Chair, we’re talking about the invisible workload so many women carry every single day—the planning, remembering, anticipating, organizing, worrying, and emotional responsibility that often goes completely unnoticed. Because maybe you’re not lazy.
Maybe you’re not unmotivated.
Maybe you don’t need to “get your shit together.” Maybe you’re just tired from carrying things nobody else can see. So pull up a chair, pour yourself something good, and let’s talk about why so many of us are running on empty—and what it might look like to finally put some of that weight down.

Episode 13: Why are we so scared to talk about money?

Why Are We So Scared to Talk About Money? Let’s pull up a chair and talk about the thing we’re all thinking about… but rarely say out loud: MONEY. Why does talking about what we make, what we spend, what we owe, or what we want to make feel so uncomfortable? Somewhere along the way, we learned that money was private. That talking about it was bragging. That wanting more made us greedy. That struggling meant we had failed. And sometimes, we’ve tied our income so closely to our worth that admitting we’re struggling feels like admitting we’re not enough. In this episode, we’re getting REAL about our relationship with money — the beliefs we grew up with, the shame and comparison that can come with it, why women especially can feel uncomfortable owning their financial goals, and what happens when we finally stop being afraid to have the conversation. Because money isn’t just about dollars and cents. It’s about freedom. Security. Choices. Confidence. Family. Dreams. And sometimes… fear. So grab your coffee, pull up a chair, and let’s have the conversation we probably should have been having all along. Because talking about money doesn’t make you greedy.
Wanting more doesn’t make you selfish.
And struggling with money doesn’t mean you’re a failure. Let’s talk about it.
