Dignified

Each week, we name the things you've never said out loud: the perfect life that feels hollow, the exhaustion that isn't failure, the intuition you stopped trusting, and the honest truth about money and freedom. This isn't about fixing your life. It's about trusting yourself inside it again.

What My Hardest Month Taught Me

October was one of the hardest months I've had in a long time. I'm not going to pretend otherwise. What I am going to do is tell you exactly what it brought me back to, because I think you need to hear it too. Welcome to The Dignity Room, the podcast for the woman who quietly holds it all together. This episode is different from the ones before it, and I want to tell you why. A hard month pushed me into a full rethink of everything I do and how I do it. I started journaling again, every single day, after years of only doing it in streaks. Ten minutes of meditation first, then the pen on the page. Three days in, and it already changed how I see what I want and where I'm actually headed. Here's what three days of real silence showed me. We carry so much outside noise. Someone tells you this should matter, that should be a priority, this is what a good version of you looks like, and most of it never gets questioned. I think about horses wearing blinders, built so they only see what's directly in front of them, so nothing pulls their focus. That's what outside noise does to us. It keeps us moving on a path we never actually chose, because we never had the quiet required to notice there was a choice. Sitting in silence for ten minutes with nothing on, doing what looks from the outside like nothing, is one of the only things that actually quiets that noise. It's uncomfortable at first, because we're never really allowed to do nothing. But that discomfort is exactly where you start hearing yourself again, not the version performing for everyone else's expectations. I've done this work on and off for over ten years, picking it up and dropping it whenever life got loud enough to drown it out. What's different now is committing to it daily. I can already feel the difference in how clear a decision feels before I make it, not only after. This is also why I'm starting a new season of this podcast. Season two will sound different. I'm moving away from fully scripted episodes toward something more intuitive, more like what I'm actually thinking about and working through in real time. I'm also keeping most episodes under thirty minutes. We're all running businesses, households, lives, and nobody has an hour to spare for every episode. The exception is when I sit down with an incredible guest and the conversation earns the extra time. Here's something I learned the hard way, more than once. When you feel something inside you, a yes or a no that's quiet but unmistakable, and you override it because the outside world told you something different, you pay for that later. Every time. It shows up as pain, burnout, feeling lost in a life that looks fine from the outside. I know this because I lived years of it, sacrificing my own sense of self because so many other things seemed more urgent, more expected of someone holding a managing director title and a founder role at once. If any of this is landing for you, send me a DM with the words "Show me," and I'll reach out so we can talk about what that could look like for you. Tuesdays stay the day for new episodes, though the time they go live might shift a little later in the day. If you're ready to stop guessing and actually be seen for exactly where you are right now, that's what a Dignity Gold reading is built for. A one on one numerology session, just the two of us, where I reflect back what's actually true about where you are and where you're headed.
