Episode 13: Go Small and Go Home

GENRE: Cat and Mouse CAST: Billie Piper, Christian Serratos, Jon Bernthal, Jeremy Irons, Bill Murray Some jobs are too small to notice. Some mistakes are too big to survive. Go Small and Go Home Jolene (Billie Piper) and Beth (Christian Serratos) had one simple rule: don't get greedy. Two sharp, streetwise women with nothing to lose and everything to gain, they devised the perfect plan. Hit five safety deposit boxes in one quietly mafia-owned bank, pocket enough to disappear forever, and never look back. No fuss. No headlines. No bodies. Go small, and go home. But buried among the cash and jewels was something they weren't supposed to find. A document. A secret. The kind that makes powerful men very, very nervous  and very, very dangerous. Now, two rival crime families, the imperiously composed Sid (Jeremy Irons) and the deceptively affable Mr. Kakishaki (Bill Murray)  have set aside their long-running war for one unified purpose: getting it back. And they've dispatched the one man who always gets the job done. Detective Somersby (Jon Bernthal) isn't a cop. He isn't exactly CIA either; though he carries a badge that says otherwise. He's a fixer. A ghost. A man who leaves no witnesses, no loose ends, and no forwarding address. He moves through towns like a slow-burning fuse, calm as Sunday morning right up until the moment everything explodes. Every diner owner, every motel clerk, every gas station attendant who so much as glances in the wrong direction… won't be glancing at anything ever again. Jolene and Beth don't know who he is. They don't know what they have. And they are running out of road. Pursued across faded motels, abandoned buildings, and blood-soaked backroads, with two crime families closing in from one side and a relentless, dead-eyed phantom on the other, the pair must figure out not just how to survive, but why everyone is so desperate to stop them. Because some secrets are worth more than money. And some men can't be bargained with, can't be charmed, and absolutely cannot be stopped.

Episode 10: Dogs Can't Speak Words

In this episode Rick and Geoff make the most of a difficult situation, making an adventure movie using the title "Dogs Can't Speak Words with no fewer than SIX cast members. Listen to find out how the boys made it work and tell them if you'd watch that! Dogs Can't Speak Words "Some legends are worth digging up." Genre: Adventure / Family Comedy Cast: Zendaya, Boyd Holbrook, Keanu Reeves, Salma Hayek, Michael Keaton, Olivier Richters When an ancient Tibetan legend speaks of treasure buried by generations of loyal dogs, most dismiss it as folklore. But for Zendaya and her boyfriend Chad (Boyd Holbrook), it's the adventure of a lifetime, until they vanish into the mountains without a trace. Enter Geoff Hayek (Keanu Reeves), a mild-mannered academic who'd rather teach history than live it, and his wife Tiana Reeves (Salma Hayek), a successful adventure novelist whose stories are far more real than anyone suspects. When they receive a cryptic postcard from their daughter Sarah (Zendaya) alongside a photo of her with Chad, the son of notorious treasure hunter Shane Derrickson (Michael Keaton), they realize she's in grave danger. Racing against time, Geoff and Tiana journey to Tibet during the annual Dog Festival, where locals still celebrate the legendary canines. Following clues that lead them through bustling markets, treacherous mountain paths, and encounters with eccentric villagers, they discover that Sarah is being shadowed by Derrickson's towering henchman Dwayne (Olivier Richters), a seven-foot two giant whose attempts at stealth are hilariously unsuccessful. As Salma's hidden skills as an adventurer are revealed (much to Geoff's bewilderment), the couple discovers that the legend is real: generations of dogs have been trained to bury treasure in a hidden cavern, accessible only through a quicksand entrance that's claimed many seekers. Inside, they find Sarah (Zendaya) and Chad trapped in a glittering cave filled with gems, gold, and an unfortunate amount of canine waste guarded by dozens of devoted dogs still fulfilling their ancient duty. But Derrickson won't let a little sparkly dog mess stand between him and fortune. In a climactic showdown filled with backflips, roundhouse kicks, bumbling henchmen, and one very unexpected hero moment from Geoff, the family must outwit the villain and decide the treasure's true fate, all while the loyal dogs watch with tilted heads and wagging tails. Episode 9: Two Live, One Goodbye

Genre: Post-Apocalyptic Drama Lead Actor: Elizabeth Debicki In a world stripped bare by environmental collapse, a woman and her daughter survive alone until roving gangs tear through her makeshift homestead and kidnap her young daughter, Chloe. Shot and left bleeding, Mama cauterises her own wound and loses a precious day. But she will not stop. She cannot stop. What follows is a brutal arithmetic of survival. In this wasteland, time is the only currency that matters, and Mama will pay any price. Three weeks of hard labour buys a name. A month of back-breaking work earns a direction. Two years tending fields purchases the whisper of a yellow neckerchief seen heading east. Every lead, every scrap of hope, every moment of safety must be bought with the one thing she can never reclaim: time. She bargains away weeks. Then months. Then years. Each transaction pulls her closer to Chloe's trail, but further from the mother Chloe once knew. Mama's hands grow calloused. Her hair turns gray. Her body bears the scars of a thousand compromises. Some people offer fair trades. Others exploit her desperation. One nearly sells her into captivity. But she survives. She endures. She pays. The cruel irony gnaws at her with every passing season: the closer she gets to finding her daughter, the more of herself she loses along the way. How much time can you trade before you become unrecognizable? How many years can you sacrifice before the person you're searching for has grown into someone you've never met? And when Mama finally reaches the end of her search, when the last payment comes due, she must face the ultimate question: Was every day, every month, every year worth it? Two Lives, One Goodbye is a devastating meditation on the weight of impossible choices, the cost of unconditional love, and the transactions we make when time is all we have left to give. A film about sacrifice measured in sunsets. About devotion paid in decades. About a mother who spent a lifetime buying her way back to a single moment, and the heart-breaking price of finally arriving.
