    Until I Saw God Again

    📖 Motivation Monday — Until I Saw God Again Have you ever looked around and wondered why life seemed easier for everyone else? Asaph did. In Psalm 73, he honestly admits that his feet "came close to stumbling" because he had become focused on what he saw around him. Then one word changed everything. "Until..." "Until I came into the sanctuary of God..." (Psalm 73:17) His circumstances didn't suddenly change. His questions weren't instantly answered. But in God's presence, his perspective changed. Sometimes that's exactly what our hearts need. Not new circumstances... but a fresh vision of God. 💭 Today's Truth God's presence changes our perspective before it changes our circumstances. If life feels confusing today, don't spend all your time looking at your problems. Spend time with the One who is bigger than your problems. When we see God clearly, everything else begins to find its proper place. 🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, when my circumstances begin to cloud my view of You, draw me back into Your presence. Help me remember that You have never stopped being good, faithful, and near. Change my perspective before You change my circumstances. Let me find my greatest joy not in what You give me, but in You!     Do Not Grow Weary

    📖 Faithful Friday — Don't Grow Weary Have you ever felt like you're trying to follow Jesus faithfully... but you're just tired? You keep praying. You keep forgiving. You keep choosing obedience. You keep trusting God. And sometimes you wonder... Is any of this making a difference? Paul writes these encouraging words: "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary."* *(Galatians 6:9) In Galatians, "doing good" isn't simply about performing good deeds. It's about continuing to live the kind of life that honors God. Every act of obedience... Every choice to forgive... Every step of faith... Every moment you choose God's way over your own... is another seed sown to the Spirit. 🌱 Today's Truth Faithfulness is continuing to sow what honors God, even when the harvest hasn't appeared yet. You may not see the results today. You may not recognize all the ways God is working. But every Spirit-led choice matters. God never asks us to produce the harvest. He simply calls us to keep sowing faithfully. 🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, thank You for giving me strength to keep following You. When I grow weary, remind me that You are still at work, even when I cannot see the harvest. Help me not to lose heart, but to keep sowing into the things that honor You. Give me faith to trust that every act of obedience matters because You are the One who brings the growth. Keep shaping me into the person You want me to become. In Jesus' name, Amen.     Remember Before You Rejoice

    📖 Thankful Thursday — Remember Before You Rejoice Most of us know these beautiful words: "The LORD'S lovingkindnesses indeed never cease... His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness."* *(Lamentations 3:22–23) But before Jeremiah ever celebrated God's faithfulness... he made a choice. It is recorded in the verse just prior to verses 22-23.  "This I recall to my mind, therefore I have hope." (Lamentations 3:21) Jeremiah wasn't standing on a mountaintop. He was standing in the middle of heartbreak. His hope didn't come because his circumstances changed. His hope came because he intentionally remembered who God is. Sometimes that's exactly what our hearts needs Not a change in circumstances... but a fresh reminder of God's unchanging character. 💭 Today's Truth Thankfulness isn't ignoring today's challenges. It's remembering God's faithfulness in the middle of them. If you're facing a difficult season today, pause for a moment and remember: • God's lovingkindness has never failed you. • His compassion is never exhausted. • His mercies are new every morning. • His faithfulness has never changed. 🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, thank You for Your unchanging faithfulness. When my circumstances tempt me to focus only on what's wrong, help me remember who YOU are. Thank You that Your lovingkindness never ceases, Your compassion never fails, and Your mercies are new every morning. Fill my heart with HOPE as I remember Your goodness, and teach me to live each day with gratitude rooted NOT in my circumstances, but in Your faithful character. In Jesus' name, Amen.     📖 Wisdom Wednesday — Where Do You Turn First? Life has a way of hitting us all at once. A difficult conversation. Unexpected news. A relationship that's strained. A decision you didn't expect to make. In moments like those, our first response often determines our next direction. When David returned to Ziklag, he found his city burned, his family taken captive, and his own men talking about stoning him. Yet before he reacted... Before he made a plan... Before he took a single step... He sought the Lord. Sometimes the wisest thing we can do isn't act faster. It's pause long enough to hear God's voice. 💭 Today's Wisdom Wisdom begins by turning to God before turning to your circumstances. Before you send that text... Before you respond in frustration... Before you make that difficult decision... Take a moment to seek the Lord. He already knows what you cannot see. 🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, when life feels uncertain and my heart is tempted to react in fear, remind me to turn to You first. Be my strength when I feel weak, and give me wisdom before I make decisions. Help me seek Your heart before I chase my own solutions.     Grace is Still Changing Me

    📖 Truth Tuesday — Grace Is Still Changing Me One of the beautiful things about the gospel is that it allows us to look honestly at who we were without forgetting who we are because of Jesus. In Titus 3, Paul doesn't minimize the past. He says, “For we also once were...” But then everything changes: “But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us...” Our story changed because God acted. And that grace didn't stop working the day we were saved. Even as believers, the Holy Spirit continues to reveal attitudes, habits, words, and actions that don't look like Jesus. When He does, we don't have to excuse them. We don't have to hide them. And we don't have to live imprisoned by them. We confess. We repent. We receive His forgiveness. And we keep walking with Jesus as He changes us. 💭 Today's Truth Grace doesn't erase the truth about who you were. It changes who you are becoming. And remembering grace should change the way we see others too. When I remember how patient God has been with me, I should become more patient with you. When I remember how much mercy I've received, I should become more willing to give mercy away. 🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, thank You for Your mercy toward me. Thank You that when I could not save myself, You saved me according to Your grace. Thank You for giving me new life in Christ—and thank You that You are still changing me. When You reveal something in me that doesn't look like Jesus, give me humility to confess it and courage to repent from it. Continue Your renewing work in me through Your Spirit, and help me extend to others the grace and patience You have so generously shown to me. In Jesus name,  Amen.     When the Way Doesn't Make Sense

    📖 Motivation Monday — When the Way Doesn't Make Sense We know how the Red Sea story ends. Israel didn't. All they could see was water in front of them and Pharaoh's army coming behind them. But there's a detail in Exodus 14 that's easy to miss: God had led them there. They weren't lost. God hadn't abandoned them. His plan hadn't failed. They simply couldn't see yet what He was about to do. Maybe you're beginning this week in a place you don't understand. You're trying to faithfully follow Jesus, but the road doesn't look anything like you expected. Don't assume that difficulty means God has disappeared. 💭 Today's Truth Don't confuse a difficult place with an absent God. You may not be able to see the way forward yet... But God can. The same God who has been faithful behind you can be trusted with whatever is ahead of you. 🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, thank You that Your presence isn't measured by how easy my circumstances are. When I don't understand where I am or what You're doing, help me trust Your character. Keep fear from convincing me that You have forgotten me. Give me faith to remember Your past faithfulness and trust You with what I cannot yet see. Help me faithfully walk with You today. In Jesus Name, Amen.     Stay Close

    📖 Faithful Friday — Stay Close Sometimes we approach spiritual growth like a self-improvement project. I need to pray more. I need to do better. I need to be stronger. I just need to try harder. But in John 15, Jesus gives us a different picture. He doesn't tell the branch to try harder to produce fruit. He says: “ Abide in Me.” Stay close. Stay connected. Let His life work in you. Prayer matters. God's Word matters. Worship and obedience matter. But none of those are ways we manufacture spiritual life for ourselves. They continually draw us back to the One who IS our life. 💭 Today's Truth Becoming more like Jesus isn't about trying harder. It's about staying closer to Him. And today's Five More Minutes has a little something special at the end. Noah and Owen joined me to share “Abide,” and I can't think of a more fitting way to close this week than worshiping together around the very truth Jesus gives us in John 15. 🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, please forgive me for the times I've tried to live faithfully in my own strength. Teach me to abide in You. Draw me closer through Your Word, through prayer, through worship, and through obedience. Produce in me what I cannot produce on my own. Let Your life shape my attitudes, my words, my choices, and my relationships. Make me more like You as I learn to stay close to You. In Jesus Name, Amen.     Grace that Leads to Gratitude

    📖 Thankful Thursday Grace That Leads to Gratitude It's easy to be thankful when life is going well. But what happens when it isn't? In Luke 7, Jesus points us to a gratitude that isn't built on circumstances—it is built on grace. A woman known for her sinful past came to Jesus with tears, worship, and a heart overflowing with love. Why? Because she knew she had been forgiven. Jesus wasn't impressed by a religious performance. He was moved by a heart that had been transformed by His mercy. The more we remember what Christ has done for us... The more gratitude fills our hearts. When we forget His grace, gratitude fades. When we remember His grace, worship begins. The heart that remembers grace never runs out of reasons to worship.  🙏 Today's Prayer Lord, thank You for the grace You have poured into my life. Forgive me for the times I become so focused on today's burdens that I forget the mercy You have already shown me. Help me never lose the wonder of being forgiven. Fill my heart with gratitude that overflows into worship and into the way I love and serve others. Thank You for doing for me what I could never do for myself. In YOUR name I pray!
