Nobody asked how you were doing. Nobody saw the battles you fought when the lights went out. Everybody started as nobody before they became somebody. Because "nobody" isn't where your story ends. It's where it begins.

People-pleasing usually develops because someone learns - often early in life - that keeping other people happy feels safer, more rewarding, or more necessary than expressing their own needs.
