    8. How I Feel About Becoming A Mother At 40

    Not sure if you want children? Or wondering whether it’s too late for you? Or whether there’s something wrong with you? I’m Luzi Pods, a somatic sexologist and embodiment nerd, 40 years old and in a wonderful relationship with my partner. In this episode, I share my own journey with motherhood – from the pressure I felt in my 20s (“Just wait until you find the right one!”) and my 30s (“The clock is ticking!”), to how being alongside my friend at her home birth changed me, and how birthing my business made me a mother in my own way. I explore the polarised views around becoming a mother – how it’s either “I want children because it’s the most fulfilling thing in my life” or “I absolutely don’t want children, and here are all the reasons why.” I share my own frustrations around this split view, as well as the third, more mysterious way I have carved out for myself, with the intention of speaking to every woman who is sitting with her own questions around motherhood and doesn’t find her voice represented anywhere. I hope that through my words, you might get a little closer to your true yearning and the whispers of your womb – beyond societal pressure or the fear of regret.     7. The Witch Wound, Sisterhood & Belonging

    Welcome back to Blossom & Blade! This conversation is dedicated to the witches, the black sheep, the outcasts, the healers, the artists, the spiritual, sensitive and strange ones – the ones who never quite felt like they belonged. I share my own experience of belonging, sisterhood and the fear of being seen, including what happened when I first began speaking publicly about my sexuality and the parts of myself I had kept hidden in the spiritual closet. From there, I speak about the deep fear many women carry of being judged or cast out by other women, how shame and fear grow in secrecy, and what can happen when something we thought was unspeakable is met with loving eyes and the resonance of a circle of sisters who say “I feel this, too”. I also explore why the deeper we go into spiritual practice, the more important it becomes to root ourselves in the body, in community and in the land – and how pleasure, sensuality and the expression of my erotic power became part of my own journey of finally feeling at home on this beautiful and strange planet.
