    5 Lessons From Today's AM Briefing We tagged the real all-time high this morning, and there is no harder seat in trading than blue sky with no structure overhead. The Battle Plan carried us long the whole way and the runner is still open on over 300 points. Here is what today was actually teaching. Lesson 1: All-time highs are the hardest seat There is no prior structure above price up here, so the clean reactions thin out. Respect the difficulty and moderate your expectations instead of forcing trades. Lesson 2: Hold the runner into the magnet Clipping a quick 20 points feels safe and it costs you the 50-pointer behind it. One or two trades a week run 100 or more, and you only catch them by holding. Lesson 3: Add to your winner, never your loser Ladder more contracts into a trade that is already working. Today that meant a 130-point add-on came off while the original lotto runner stayed open past 300. Lesson 4: Reclaim the Bull Bear Line and stay long Once price reclaims that line, shorting this action fights the flow. On this chart longs are the right trade about 90% of the time. Lesson 5: A hard tape is training time When the market is slow and thin, build your plan in the Trade Plan Builder, run the Core Strategy reps, chase the next badge.     5 Lessons From Today's AM Briefing The tape opened mixed, Dow lifting while NQ sat dead, and last night's Battle Plan said it plain. No high probability trade. Days like this are not for forcing size. They are for studying how the winners got held. Here is what today was teaching. Lesson 1: Hold the single runner Peel contracts at the next Strong Level, then keep one micro runner back. That runner is the easiest points you will ever make when the big move finally comes. Lesson 2: Know your true basis After you add and peel a contract, your platform re-tabulates off your last entry. A negative number on the screen can be a green trade. Track your real basis. Lesson 3: Play perfect chess Add to winners only at pre-planned Battle Plan levels, laddering below the RTH low. The board is mapped in advance, so each add is a move, not a gamble. Lesson 4: Long or flat when there is no edge When the plan shows no high probability entry, that is the answer. Forcing a trade into stuck, low probability price action hands back the week.     5 Lessons From Today's AM Briefing The week paid. Two days of several 100-point moves off mapped levels, and this morning price finally tagged the Bull Bear Line for 144 more. Now it is Friday, and yesterday was payday. Here is what today was actually teaching. Lesson 1: Never short a short covering rally When the map says long only, every dip is an entry and every short is a fight against forced buyers. Trade the side the tape is on. Lesson 2: Hold your runner behind protection layers Park your stop below several Strong Levels, not behind hope. A stop five points under the RTH low let the runner ride all the way to the Bull Bear Line. Lesson 3: Go into the weekend a winner Friday is for protecting the week. Trade smaller, tighten your leverage, and never try to claw back the week on the last day. Lesson 4: Reached target means null and void Once a Battle Plan trade hits its target it has done its job. Watch the level, do not chase a setup that already paid. Lesson 5: A slow tape is training time No high probability entry is a real decision. Print your chart, mark it up by hand, journal, and build the trader you want to be while the market is not paying. Microsoft and Meta had just reported, Apple and Amazon were coming tonight, and the news was stacked right on the open. Here is what today was actually teaching. Lesson 1: Earn the right to trade Build a pre-flight checklist and run it every session like a pilot walking the plane. When it is done, you have earned your seat, and you never lean on memory. Lesson 2: Set your risk while you are sober Decide your leverage and risk parameters before the chart has you emotional. You stick to numbers you chose calm, not numbers you invent mid-trade. Lesson 3: Hold the runner, press the winner Stop asking where you exit the moment you are green. Peel your first contracts, hold a lotto runner, and a normal trade can become a 100-point day. Lesson 4: Wait for your mapped level The muddy middle of the range offers nothing. Patience until price reaches Battle Plan 1 is what put traders on the FOMC runner today.
