    Better Mental Health, Together

    Your generosity is helping strengthen mental health and addictions care across Durham Region.     First-of-its-Kind Partnership Bringing Specialized Care Closer to Home

    Every child deserves access to the care they need in a safe, familiar environment. In this episode of Brace for Impact, we explore the partnership between Lakeridge Health and Grandview Kids that brought the new Grandview Anesthesia Procedure Clinic (GAP Clinic) to life. Hear from the health care leaders behind the project about how this innovative space is helping children receive specialized procedures closer to home while reducing the need to travel outside Durham Region. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors, Lakeridge Health Foundation's $1 million fundraising campaign helped make this specialized procedure room possible.     Dr. Michael Kwan, Medical Director, Nuclear Medicine, and Wilson Yiu, Manager, Diagnostic Imaging, join Kolter in Lakeridge Health’s new PET-CT suite. This space is home to one of only 18 of these vital cancer-diagnosing tools in Ontario. Having this essential equipment in Durham Region was made possible by community support and a very generous gift by Beth Kelly and Paul Mackie Sr., and their families – ensuring the very best cancer care is available to our patients, close to home.
