Miki M

If you are anything like me, it does not take much to forget God's faithfulness and His goodness. Between social media distractions and life's everyday dose of hardships, I am fighting for my life trying to hold on tight to the hem of Jesus. Don't think I've got it all together. I don't. But that's why I'm inviting you into this space with me for on-point and on-time biblical truths to help us anchor when life would have us burn out and drift. This is in case i forget. I am your host Miki. Let's get to it. Hey sister! Welcome to in case i forget - a space created to connect women to Christ and each other through on-time and on-point biblical truth, testimony reminders and a Christ Centered Pen Pal Club. This podcast was born out of my repentance (again) for forgetting what God has brought me through and for letting my doubt and uncertainty bring me to a place of control and fear.  I was reading through Exodus, and of course, I couldn't understand how the Israelites could be so forgetful! He sent 10 plagues for their freedom. God literally just took them through two walls of ocean. He fed them manna . . . from heaven! And yet, they complained as though God had done nothing.  It was during this thought process that the Holy Spirit convicted me. . . Miki, you literally do the same.  See I was in the middle of a very hard transition - one that was soooo full of God, and yet, my problems felt bigger than the God who so clearly carried us through so many things.  Here, we talk theology and testimonies because we "overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony" (Revelation 12:11), and "until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood,[a] to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13 ESV). Turn this on while you catch up on dishes and let's remember together. Love,  Miki P.S. I have been convicted by the Holy Spirit about the use of AI, so this is my pledge to you to speak and teach by Holy Spirit's leading and using only Logos software to help me find resources as we cover theological conversations. I will, however, use AI to write my show notes directly from each episode's transcripts, carefully and prayerfully reading through them.

    32. Marriage Crisis at a Pumpkin Patch - Here's What Happened

What do you do when you see someone hurting, and you feel that tug inside telling you that you need to do something? Do you step out in faith, or do you let fear, uncertainty, and the awkwardness of the moment keep you where you are? In this special bonus episode of in case i forget, celebrating 1,000 downloads, my husband Patrick joins me for a conversation about something that happened during a family trip to the pumpkin patch. What started as an ordinary fall outing became an unexpected opportunity to share the gospel, and a reminder of what it means to follow God when you don't have complete clarity. As we watched a family walking through what appeared to be a painful moment, we wrestled with what to do. We had our children with us. We had legitimate concerns about how the situation might unfold. And yet, we couldn't shake the feeling that we needed to do something. This conversation is about more than approaching a stranger. It's about the ways God uses the seasons we're walking through to grow compassion for others. It's about sharing the light of Christ even when it's uncomfortable, praying for God's will to be done, and recognizing that ministry doesn't always happen in the places or ways we expect. In this episode, we talk about: Sharing the gospel as a family, even when your children are present Recognizing opportunities to share the light of Jesus in everyday life The tension between stepping out in faith and legitimate concerns about safety How God can use difficult seasons in our own marriages to grow compassion for others Praying for God's will without becoming paralyzed by indecision What James 4:13–17 teaches us about the good we know we ought to do Why you don't have to be a pastor, missionary, or expert to be used by God Our “in case i forget” moment: God wants to use you right where you are. Whether you're married, single, raising children, homeschooling, working, volunteering, or simply going about your everyday life, God can use you. The question is: Will you let Him? Will you say yes? Scripture references: James 4:13–17 Philippians 4:7 John 10:10 Matthew 9:37–38 If this episode encourages you, share it with someone who might need the reminder. And I'd love to hear from you: What's one thing that stuck out to you in this episode? Thank you for helping in case i forget reach 1,000 downloads! We're so grateful you're here. 31. Hebrews 3:7-11 | Don't Harden Your Heart

When Life Gets Hard, Don’t Forget God’s Faithfulness | Hebrews 3:7–11 Have you ever walked through a difficult season and found yourself focusing more on what hurts than on what God has already done? In Hebrews 3:7–11, we’re reminded of the Israelites in the wilderness, a people who had witnessed God’s power and faithfulness, yet still struggled with discontentment, rebellion, and hardened hearts. In this episode of in case i forget, we walk through Hebrews 3:7–11 and the Israelites’ experience at Massah and Meribah. We talk about the difference between bringing our honest questions and uncertainties to God and allowing our hearts to become hardened against Him. Because sometimes, when life feels uncomfortable, we need to remember what God has already shown us about His character. God is still faithful in the wilderness. He is still good when life is hard. And we don’t want the cares of this world to distract us until we slowly drift away from Him. IN THIS EPISODE, WE EXPLORE: What Hebrews 3:7–11 teaches us about the Israelites’ rebellion in the wilderness The difference between honest questions, doubt, and a hardened heart What happened at Massah and Meribah Why God may use difficult seasons to strengthen and refine our character How to guard our hearts when life feels uncomfortable Why remembering God’s faithfulness matters when we’re tempted to focus on our circumstances YOUR JOURNAL PROMPT Set a timer for two minutes. Write down as many things as you can think of that you can thank God for. Use this time to remind yourself of His faithfulness, His goodness, and all the ways He has shown you who He is. 29. Hebrews 3:1-6 | Moses Was Amazing…But How Great Was He?

Moses is such an amazing character in God's great big story, but how great is he? Today, we're jumping back into Hebrews 3 to talk about why Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, and why what Jesus did was enough. In this episode, we're talking about Jesus being faithful to the Father who appointed Him, the difference between a servant and a Son, and what it means that Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son. We're also going to talk about the house Jesus built. Moses was faithful in God's house as a servant, but Jesus came to fulfill what Moses could not. He didn't just give us the foundation. He gave us Himself, and He is the cornerstone of the house we are part of. And y'all, this is not just Hebrews for the sake of reading Hebrews. This is the gospel for our lives today. In this episode: Why Jesus is worthy of more glory than Moses What it means that Jesus was faithful to the Father who appointed Him Why what Jesus did was enough to save, sanctify, and justify us The difference between Moses as a servant and Christ as a Son What it means that we are God's house Why we hold fast our confidence and our hope in Jesus Christ Your journal prompt: How does it make you feel knowing that Christ is faithful over God's house as a Son, and that we are His house? in case i forget, we hold fast our confidence and our boasting in our hope. . . and that hope is Jesus Christ. 28. Hebrews 3:1 | Focus on Jesus: Finding Your Anchor in The Great Apostle and High Priest

Do you ever feel like you have a bajillion tabs open in your mind? Between motherhood, marriage, household responsibilities, choosing curriculum, figuring out what to feed your family, and all the other things life throws at you, it can be hard to keep your focus where it needs to be. And sometimes, without even realizing it, we begin to drift. In this episode of in case i forget, we're jumping back into Hebrews 3 and looking at what it means to consider Jesus, our apostle and high priest. We'll talk about our heavenly calling, why Jesus is worthy of more glory than Moses, and the encouragement we can find in knowing that Christ is the one who sustains us. I share why I love the reminder to focus on Jesus rather than allowing the waves around us to pull our attention away from Him. Because while we may feel overwhelmed by everything we're trying to carry, we can trust the One who is holding us. We'll also talk about what this passage means for us as busy wives, moms, and women trying to faithfully walk out the lives God has given us. And before we go, I'll leave you with a journal prompt to help you reflect on where your focus may be wavering and how your heavenly calling can anchor you when life would have you drift away. in case i forget: Jesus is the Great Apostle and High Priest of my confession. He is the author and the finisher of my faith. I'm so glad you're here. Let's open our Bibles and grow together. If this episode encourages you, please leave a review and share it with someone who needs the reminder. 27 - Where My New Friends Are Waiting | Practical Tips for Finding Community | Open Door Series

Take our Pen Pal Type Quiz here and find how you would fit in your sister circle! Finding community as an adult can feel a lot harder than it should. When you're a mom, a wife, a college student, starting a new job, moving to a new city, or simply walking through a new season of life, making friends can easily fall to the bottom of the list. But that doesn't mean we're meant to do life alone. In this episode of in case i forget, we're getting practical about where we can actually go to find community. I’m sharing some of the places where I’ve personally found friendship, from a breastfeeding support group after having my son, to hobbies, book clubs, pickleball, pen pals, library programs, and church. Some of these opportunities are free, and some take a little more intentionality, but they all have something in common: they put you in spaces with people who are also looking for connection. We’ll talk about why picking up a hobby can be more than just learning something new, how writing letters can create unexpected connection even from hundreds of miles away, and why church is about more than simply attending a service. And I want you to remember this: There are places all around you with people who are looking for people like you. You may have to put in some work. You may have to walk into a room where you don't know anyone. You may have to open the door before you know exactly what will happen. But you are not alone. This is the fifth episode in the Open Door series, and next week we’re moving into Hebrews chapter 3. If this episode blesses you, I’d love for you to leave a review and let me know what stuck out to you most.
