Episode 5: Coffee Grounds || Apologetic Foundations: Truth

What is truth? Well, it's nothing but truth in our second episode in our Coffee Grounds || Apologetic Foundations series. In this episode, you will learn about the definition of both objective and subjective truth, and how they each have an important place in how we interpret reality. We will also discuss the hierarchy of truth, and where our opinions come in, and some of the pitfalls of flipping over the “two-story” building of reality. Lastly, we will touch on the logical implications of misplacing subjective truth, as well as where the flip-flop all began: Postmodernity. Join us for coffee, and learn that while creamer is a “beautiful” thing, we need to make sure we are adding coffee (and ground it in objective truth).  In This Episode: Community College and Evidence that Demands a Verdict  What is Truth? Objective or Subjective: Coffee and creamerTruth as a “two-story” building “Creamer-only” Coffee PeopleHow to “Put a rock in someone’s shoe” and a cup of coffee Resources Mentioned: Evidence That Demands a Verdict: Life-Changing Truth for a Skeptical World  by Josh McDowell and Sean McDowell, PhD https://a.co/d/02XRzKPwThe Deconstruction of Christianity: What it is, Why it’s Destructive, and How to Respond by Alisa Childers and Tim Barnett https://a.co/d/07mdu011Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussing Your Christian Convictions  by Greg Koukl https://a.co/d/06AdXtqwThe War on Reality: Recovering Truth in a World That Celebrates Lies by Frank Turek and Phoenix Hayes https://a.co/d/08kgiyOw  Not mentioned, but a great for practical ways to apply what we learn here! Connect With Caffeinated Truth Apologetics: Email: caffeinated.truth@gmail.com Website:  caffeinatedtruthapologetics.com Facebook and Instagram: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics YouTube: @CaffeinatedTruthApologetics Spotify and Apple Podcasts: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics About The Podcast: Caffeinated Truth Apologetics is where everyday conversations meet faith and reason. Episode 4: Coffee Grounds || Apologetic Foundations: Worldview

In our first episode in the series, “Coffee Grounds: Apologetic Foundations,” we share the analogy that one “cannot learn algebra by looking at the answers in the back of the book” and how that applies to only giving answers to our young people without teaching them the processes behind the answers for our faith. Along with some analogies, we look over the statistics from the American Worldview Inventory conducted by Arizona Christian University. Lastly, we examine our first topic of Worldview, by reviewing the 4 questions all worldviews attempt to answer. We end with an analysis of the metanarrative of scripture and how this forms the basis of the Christian Worldview: The best explanation of reality.  In This Episode: “Math and Apologetics” Personal anecdotes and The American Worldview InventoryWhat is a worldview? The four questions all worldviews answerWhy does this matter? Resources Mentioned: Cultural Research Center, Arizona Christian University https://azcu.edu/culturalresearchcenter/research/Cultural Research Center. “Study Finds Few Signs of U.S. Spiritual Renewal as Biblical Worldview Levels Remain Stalled.” Arizona Christian University, March 3, 2026. https://azcu.edu/culturalresearchcenter/2026/03/03/study-finds-few-signs-of-u-s-spiritual-renewal-as-biblical-worldview-levels-remain-stalled/ The Story of Reality: How the World Began, How it Ends, and Everything Important In-Between, Greg Koukl https://a.co/d/0dRpPJu2Connect With Caffeinated Truth Apologetics: Email: caffeinated.truth@gmail.com Website:  caffeinatedtruthapologetics.com Facebook: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics Instagram: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics YouTube: @CaffeinatedTruthApologetics Spotify: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics Apple Podcasts: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics About The Podcast: Caffeinated Truth Apologetics is where everyday conversations meet faith and reason. Episode 3: Coffee, Classrooms, and Calling

In this Back-to-School episode, we have our first podcast guest, Mr. Eric Anthony. Eric has been in education for 18 years, first as an elementary and middle school teacher, and most recently as an elementary school assistant principal. We chat about some of the challenges Christian teachers and administrators are facing in public schools in particular, how to support teachers and staff, and practical ways to support your child as the new school year gets started. I also share about my favorite school-aged parent resource, Honest Prayers for Mama Bears, that I personally use and have shared with many friends and family members to use in their own homes.   In This Episode: Conversations with a veteran in educationChallenges and joys of being a Christian Educator todayPractical ways you can support our Christian brothers and sisters in educationWays to support your own child as the school year startsInformation on how technology is being used as a tool and as a potential distraction with school-aged childrenSharing the blessing of the book,  Honest Prayers for Mama Bears (and for Papa Bears too!)Resources Mentioned: Honest Prayers for Mama Bears, Hillary Morgan Ferrer with Julie Looshttps://a.co/d/0fvpLKNWPocket Prayers for Mama Bears, Hillary Morgan Ferrer with Julie Looshttps://a.co/d/0cH47p8NConnect With Caffeinated Truth Apologetics: Email: caffeinated.truth@gmail.com Website:  caffeinatedtruthapologetics.com Facebook: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics Instagram: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics YouTube: @CaffeinatedTruthApologetics Spotify: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics Apple Podcasts: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics About The Podcast: Caffeinated Truth Apologetics is where everyday conversations meet faith and reason. Episode 2: Brewing Knowledge Without Another Degree

In this second episode, I share how I have been able to continue my education in apologetics by fitting it “in the cracks” of my life: the little moments in between my other commitments as a wife, mother, and teacher. We will discuss non-traditional ways (outside of getting another degree) to be further equipped, and give a few examples of where you can start on your own training–even if it's just “in the cracks.”  In This Episode: Benefits of starting with podcasts and booksTraining through different ministries vs a programProcess of auditing classes and my experiences Looking a certificates as a stand-alone or addition to a degreeWhy we keep looking for ways to keep training (and to keep that coffee flowing)Resources Mentioned: Cross Examined,  CrossExamined Instructor Academy Theology Mom, Classes | Theology Mom Mama Bear Apologetics, Deep Dive Instructor Training Southern Evangelical Seminary,  Apologetics BIOLA University, Christian Apologetics Certificate Connect With Caffeinated Truth Apologetics: Email: caffeinated.truth@gmail.com Website:  caffeinatedtruthapologetics.com Facebook: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics Instagram: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics YouTube: @CaffeinatedTruthApologetics Spotify: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics Apple Podcasts: @caffeinatedtruthapologetics About The Podcast: Caffeinated Truth Apologetics is where everyday conversations meet faith and reason.
