Season Finale: God Cares About Your Mental Health

In this Season 1 finale, we’re talking about God’s heart for our mental health and how Scripture equips us to guard our minds, recognize the enemy’s lies, and remember who God says we are. I’ll share some of my own experiences with spiritual attack and difficult thoughts and feelings, along with practical and biblical ways to pursue peace and healing. Most importantly, we’ll be reminded that our struggles do not have to define us—we can bring them to God, seek wise support, and choose to keep walking in what He has called us to do.

    Idols: What’s Holding Your Attention?

What has been holding your attention lately—and has anything taken the place in our heart that belongs to God? In this episode, we’ll explore how even good things like relationships, social media, success, appearance, and sports can become idols when we give them more of our time, trust, and attention than Jesus. Instead of trying to force ourselves to stop thinking about these things, we can intentionally focus on Christ through prayer, worship, Scripture, gratitude, and repentance. What you behold, you become—so what are you choosing to behold?

Asking for Help: Stop being so Prideful

What happens when pride keeps us from admitting we need help? In this episode, we talk about how pride can show up as self-sufficiency, hiding our struggles, and feeling like we have to have all the answers—and why God actually calls us into humility, honesty, and community. From a humbling game of Connect 4 to personal struggles with vulnerability, we explore what it looks like to stop pretending we have it all together and start letting others love and support us. We’ll also get practical about asking for help, confessing when we’re struggling, and surrounding ourselves with people who will speak both truth and love. Because there’s freedom in realizing we were never meant to do this alone.

    Functioning out of Rest

What if rest isn’t something we earn after we’ve finished everything—but the place we’re actually meant to start? In this episode, we’ll explore what it means to function out of rest instead of running on empty, looking at God’s design for Sabbath and the importance of being filled up with Him before we do anything else. We’ll talk about the different kinds of rest—physical, mental, and emotional—and practical ways to build daily and weekly rhythms of rest into our lives. We’ll also unpack the shift from working for love to working out of love, knowing that our worth comes from God rather than what we accomplish. As a new school year is upon us, let’s learn how to enter new seasons refreshed, rooted, and ready—without burning out.

    Friendship: Your Friends Matter

Our friends have a powerful influence on who we become, and Scripture shows us the importance of surrounding ourselves with people who encourage, challenge, pray for, and support us. In this episode, we explore what it looks like to build deep, honest, God-centered friendships—including navigating conflict, setting boundaries, calling each other out in love, and showing up when it matters most. We’ll also talk about praying for godly friendships and becoming the kind of friend who helps others grow closer to Christ.
