    Episode 8: with sexologist Lex.

Why do so many women book a sensual massage that isn’t about sex at all? In this episode, Perth bodyworker Chayse sits down with Lex, a Melbourne-based sexologist and sex educator, for an honest and playful conversation about touch, pleasure, and feeling at home in your own body. Together they explore the many reasons women seek out sensual and erotic massage, from being new to intimate touch to healing after trauma. They talk about how gentle touch and kind words can help the nervous system feel safe again, and why choosing an experienced, trusted provider matters. Lex explains arousal non-concordance and the “accelerator and brake” model of desire, showing why many women aren’t “broken” or uninterested, just overloaded. The pair also discuss how to move from performing sex to actually enjoying it, share simple daily exercises to reconnect with your body, and reveal a cheeky foreplay game you’ll want to try at home. To finish, Chayse and Lex explain how a sexologist and a bodyworker can work side by side, supporting clients before and after a session so they feel prepared, understood, and free of shame. Whether you’re a new mum, recovering from a difficult experience, or simply curious about what you really enjoy, this episode is a gentle reminder that you are already enough. Chayse is based in Perth, and Lex is based in Melbourne and offers phone sessions Australia-wide. You can find her details on Chayse’s website. Episode 2, Ebony, Visible Disability And Her 12 Month Journey Into Pleasure & Acceptance

In this deeply honest conversation, we sit down with a returning client one year after her very first booking to reflect on a remarkable 12-month journey of healing, confidence and connection. As a woman with a visible disability, she opens up about the layered challenges she carried for most of her adult life: poor self-image, a fear of men rooted in never feeling safe on nights out, and a belief she had quietly convinced herself was fact — that she simply wasn’t desirable, and that intimacy “wasn’t for her.” Rather than risk rejection, she withdrew into a safe bubble and gave up on physical connection altogether. That changed when she began therapy two to three years ago. One of her first goals was learning to feel comfortable and safe with a man in an intimate setting — and after finding this service through TikTok and running the idea past her therapist, she booked her first session. What she expected to feel was discomfort. What she actually felt was something far more powerful: relief. Relief, mixed with sadness, at realising just how long she had been depriving herself of physical affection — her love language. From that first booking, everything slowly evolved. Over the following year she hired a full-service provider, discovered more about her own desires through therapy, attended a sexuality festival in Sydney full of somatic and consent-based workshops, and eventually found her way into play parties and even a retreat in Bali. Along the way, she learnt some of her biggest lessons: • Acceptance is real in these communities. Her visible disability simply didn’t matter in these spaces — what mattered was energy, connection and shared interests. It dismantled her belief that she needed to look or be a certain way. • Intimacy isn’t about climax. Letting go of the pressure to “perform” — something so many women are taught — allowed her to enjoy connection for what it is, without distress or frustration. • Communication transforms the experience. By her second session, she had the confidence to voice her needs, ask questions and talk openly about her body — and the experience was better for both people because of it. • Talking only gets you so far. Therapy and inner work matter, but at some point you have to take action. For her, hiring a professional was the safe, structured “exposure therapy” that broke the barrier. She also shares practical advice for other women with disabilities: do your research, pay attention to a provider’s vibe, and if you don’t feel safe, bring a friend to sit in. Most importantly — if you’ve convinced yourself no one will ever desire you, don’t let that story become your identity. This episode is about far more than a service. It’s about safety, self-worth, community and the courage to rebuild your relationship with your own body. We hope her story helps other women — especially those with visible disabilities — see that connection and intimacy are absolutely possible for them too.
