One life, told honestly, and the songs that have come out of it along the way. I’m Solomon Cherian, founder of For His Glory Records, an independent multilingual Christian music label. Each episode traces a chapter of a journey I’m still on: the people, the setbacks, the Scripture, and the faith I’m working out in real time. The music runs through all of it. Christian, curious, or skeptical, there’s a seat for you here.

Was That You, Lord? Or Was That Me?

In this episode, I reflect on a remarkable season of answered prayers, unexpected divine appointments, and stepping out in faith, while wrestling with the vulnerability of quiet seasons, unmet expectations, and my ongoing journey of learning to discern God's voice.

Visions of Exodus | Thutmose, Bithiah, and Moses

What happens when reading Exodus begins playing out in vivid, persistent detail in your mind's eye? In this episode, I share the narrative visions from early 2026 that shaped the first two songs on my Exodus album—"Thutmose III and Bithiah" and "Jochebed." We step into an ancient throne room gripped by fear, an underground network quietly smuggling Hebrew infants out of Goshen, and the desperate faith of a mother laying her child in the reeds of the Nile.

Hearing God After a Mental Health Crisis | The Messengers

Home from Rogers, back in my own kitchen, I couldn't put one question down: had God been speaking to me through the crisis — or had a sleep-deprived, anxious mind made it all up? This is what happened in the weeks after. February into March. No ER, no locked unit — just ordinary rooms and ordinary people, and a string of encounters I couldn't explain away. I'm still learning to discern His voice. But I've come to believe God never left — and that needing help, a diagnosis, or a hospital stay doesn't mean you imagined Him. If you've ever been afraid your own mind can't be trusted, this one is for you. Content note: continues a mental health crisis and the recovery after an inpatient stay. Three Nights in a Psych Ward (Pt. 3) | God Over Everything

"God did not leave me at the hospital door. He walked in with me." In the final chapter of this three-part arc, I share my last two days inside Rogers Behavioral Health and the journey home. From a therapy room where a song broke past my defenses, to learning the story of a young man named Noah, to an answered prayer—this episode is about how God turned the worst week of my life into the place He met me most deeply. I also share how I met the psychiatrist God put in my path on the way out the door—and how the slow work of healing began. --- 🌐 Learn More & Connect: * Official Website & Music: https://forhisgloryrecords.org * Song Reference: Listen to my song "Three Nights at Rogers" on Spotify and all streaming platforms. --- ⚠️ Content Warning: This episode describes a mental health crisis and an inpatient behavioral health stay. Three Nights in a Psych Ward (Pt. 2) | "You Are One of Them"

Was God actually speaking to me, or was I a sleep-deprived physician whose mind was making it all up? In Part 2 of this arc, I share what happened on my second day inside Rogers Behavioral Health. Waking up after real sleep for the first time in days, I found myself grappling with intense doubt, the fear of hyperreligiosity, and a deep impulse to isolate myself from the people around me. From eating my meals alone to a series of unexpected encounters—including a story about Balaam's donkey and a strange moment at a dinner table—this episode is about what happens when we stop pretending, lay down our pride, and realize we are all in need of the same grace. --- 🌐 Learn More & Connect: * Official Website & Music: https://forhisgloryrecords.org * Song Reference: You can listen to my song "Three Nights at Rogers" on Spotify and all streaming platforms. --- ⚠️ Content Warning: This episode describes a mental health crisis and an inpatient behavioral health stay. Three Nights in a Psych Ward (Pt. 1) | A Doctor’s Surrender

I'm a physician. It took me five days without sleep, and a question I couldn't answer, to accept help. By Friday, February 13th, I hadn't slept in five days. My friend Matt wouldn't leave my side, and he kept asking me to get help. I kept saying no. I didn't want anyone to think I was crazy, and I was starting to wonder if I was. This is the story of the afternoon I finally said yes, and of my first night inside a psychiatric hospital. A note: this episode describes a mental health crisis and a voluntary psychiatric admission. If you're struggling, please reach out. In crisis: call or text 988, free and confidential, 24/7. Prayer: 700 Club, 800-759-0700, or Need Him, 1-888-633-3446. More at forhisgloryrecords.org

    A Faithful Prayer

The true story behind my song "A Faithful Prayer" — about Rajan uncle, an elder whose prayers followed me from my teenage years, through the darkest night of my life, to a moment years later I never saw coming. A story about God's timing and the faithful people who pray for us when we don't even know it. Note: touches on a dark season, including a fleeting thought of self-harm I rejected the moment it came. Struggling? You're not alone. Call or text 988 (free, 24/7). Christian support: 700 Club 800-759-0700 or Need Him 1-888-633-3446. Well Done

I asked God for a sign I couldn't deny. He gave me one — and I walked out of the room anyway. I thought my baptism in the Holy Spirit was the finish line. It was the starting line — and the first thing the Spirit did wasn't to make me feel powerful. It humbled me. In the week that followed, my shower became my prayer closet. Faces came to mind one after another, including a boy who punched me in art class thirty years ago and is in jail today — and I finally let go of a bitterness I didn't know I was still carrying. A sermon on 1 Corinthians 13 showed me the gifts were never the point. And at work, I finally learned to pray out loud, on the day God answered me in a way I couldn't argue with. This is the story of learning to obey when it's frightening — and of the first song I ever published, "Well Done," which came straight out of this season. More at solomoncherian.com.

The God Who Sees Me (Pt. 2)

I'm a doctor and a lifelong skeptic — so when I asked God to speak to me, I didn't expect an answer. The day after the ER, my heart was back in rhythm — but the deeper wound, the one no scan can reach, was still there. I believed God was real. I just never believed He'd speak to me. Then one text pulled me into a group of twelve men, and over six weeks the coincidences stacked up too specifically to keep calling them coincidences — building to one Equip Night, and something I never thought I'd say about myself. If you've ever felt overlooked, or believed God is real but never quite believed He'd speak to you — I was you. This is my story. Learn more at solomoncherian.com.

The God Who Sees Me (Pt. 1)

In this first episode of the For His Glory Podcast, I tell the story of the day my heart slipped into an arrhythmia in the middle of an ordinary work meeting. I'm a radiologist — I read medical images for a living — and suddenly I was the patient: an emergency room, an IV drip, a rhythm that wouldn't settle, and a group of people praying for me. This is where it all started. The episode, the long night, and the morning it finally resolved — and the beginning of a seven-month journey I never saw coming, one that led a lifelong skeptic to being baptized in the Holy Spirit and to writing and releasing over a hundred songs. Part 1 of 2. However you found this, welcome. All of it is for His glory.
