Garage Talks by Daditude

Jeannot Martineau

Garage Talks by Daditude is a podcast about the conversations most people never have, but desperately need. Garage Talks brings together people from all walks of life to share honest stories about faith, fatherhood, marriage, identity, addiction, grief, business, motorcycles, resilience, healing, and the moments that change us forever. This isn't an interview show. It's a place where walls come down, masks come off, and real conversations unfold. Every guest brings a unique story, not because they have all the answers, but because their journey may help someone else find hope, perspective, or the courage to take their own next step. Daditude was built on one simple belief: The garage is the environment. The conversation is the catalyst. The individual chooses the repair. Motorcycles and power sports are part of our culture, but they are not the destination. They are the invitation. Whether you're a rider, a parent, a business owner, someone rebuilding after loss, or simply looking for conversations with substance, you'll find a seat here. Garage Talks explores topics including: • Faith and spiritual growth • Fatherhood and family • Marriage and relationships • Identity and purpose • Addiction and recovery • Mental resilience and personal responsibility • Leadership and entrepreneurship • Motorcycles and powersports culture • Life lessons, setbacks, and redemption "Real conversations that leave you thinking long after the engine is off." Our goal isn't to tell you what to think. It's to create an environment where honest conversations help people think more deeply, live more intentionally, and move forward with hope. Pull up a chair. Garage Talks Ep. 10: Why We Ride | Trail Tours & the Story Beyond the Motorcycle | your Host Jeannot

Sometimes you head out expecting a motorcycle ride and come home with a completely different story. In Episode 10 of Garage Talks by Daditude, I'm getting back to where a lot of this started for me: motorcycles, family and community. A few weeks ago, I joined the crew at Trail Tours for an ADV ride through Eastern Ontario. I ended up aboard a Honda TransAlp 750 and covered nearly 490 kilometers over roughly ten hours. There were trails, dirt, mistakes, challenges, laughs and plenty of time behind the bars. This episode isn't really about motorcycle specs. It's about why we ride. My relationship with Trail Tours started with a cold call to owner Steve in 2023 while I was trying to find my place in the powersports industry. What began as a business conversation grew into a friendship built around family, faith, motorcycles and a shared appreciation for what happens when people get outside their normal environment and experience something together. Trail Tours gives kids their first experience on motorcycles through Honda's Junior Red Riders program. Adults learn to ride. Experienced riders develop new skills. Families spend time together. And somewhere between the trails, mistakes, victories and stories afterward, conversations happen. That's where this connects directly to Daditude. I don't believe a motorcycle fixes your life. I don't believe twisting a throttle makes whatever you're carrying disappear. A motorcycle puts you in an environment where everything else gets quiet for a while. And when the ride is over, the stories start. In this episode, I talk about my experience with Trail Tours, my history with motorcycles, the ADV ride, introducing kids to powersports, riding with other people and something I realized about my own relationship with motorcycles: For much of my life, I was riding to run away. Yet every time I turned the key off, somehow I felt a little better. Pasted text Maybe that's why motorcycles have always belonged in this garage. They're not the mission. They're one of the tools that get us through the door. In this episode:• My 490 km ADV experience with Trail Tours • Why I ended up riding a Honda TransAlp 750 • How a cold call in 2023 turned into a friendship with Trail Tours owner Steve • Kids, families and Honda's Junior Red Riders program • What motorcycles can teach about confidence, responsibility and awareness • Camaraderie and connection on the trail • Why riding became an escape for me • Why the motorcycle industry needs more unity and fewer brand wars • The real reason powersports remain part of Daditude • Why the story after the ride can matter more than the ride itself If you're in Ontario and have wanted to experience dirt bikes, ADV riding or introduce your kids to motorcycles in a structured environment, check out Trail Tours. And Steve, your chair in the garage is waiting. Garage Talks Ep. 9: "I Built a Life I Don’t Want to Escape From.” | Jehnna’s Recall

Jehnna Morin is back in the garage. Her first conversation didn't end when the microphones turned off. More conversations happened. Decisions were made. Relationships continued to move. Grace was given. Old wounds were confronted. And eventually, Jehnna reached back out because there was still more to the story. So this isn't a sequel designed to wrap everything up with a pretty ending. It's a Garage Recall. This conversation is about what rebuilding actually looks like while you're still living through it. Jehnna opens up about addiction, relapse, relationships, housing, custody, grief, shame, family, recovery, service, and the strange reality of accomplishing things you once couldn't imagine while a voice inside still asks whether you deserve to be there. We talk about imposter syndrome. Having your sobriety questioned. The pressure to prove you've changed. Learning that forgiveness, acceptance, trust, grace, and reconciliation aren't the same thing and don't necessarily happen at the same speed. And sometimes, after years of fighting, surviving, serving, rebuilding, and trying to prove yourself... You need to just f*****g rest. One of the most powerful parts of Jehnna's story begins with a photograph from October 2023, taken during one of the darkest periods of her life. That same woman kept showing up. And the story attached to that photograph is changing. This isn't about pretending the past didn't happen. It's about refusing to let your worst chapter become your identity. Because recovery isn't only about removing a substance. Sometimes it's about recovering your relationships. Your identity. Your family. Your ability to trust. Your willingness to receive grace. Your life. That's life recovery. And it doesn't require a perfect ending. It requires another step. In this episode:• What happened after Jehnna's first Garage Talks conversation • Addiction, relapse, shame and rebuilding • Repairing relationships without pretending the damage never happened • Forgiveness vs. trust vs. reconciliation • Having your recovery questioned • Imposter syndrome after major accomplishments • Why you don't have to prove your recovery to everyone • Learning when to stop fighting and rest • Fresh wounds versus healed scars • Service, purpose and continuing to show up • What "life recovery" actually means • Why repair is a process, not a destination Continue the Conversation🌐 Daditude Power Sports & Garage Logs daditudepowersports.com 📖 Download the Garage Playbook 📰 Read Garage Journal 🎙 Garage Talks by Daditude Available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music/Audible. 📧 garage@daditudepowersports.com If you've been rebuilding something in your own life, you don't have to pretend the work is finished. Garage Talks Episode 8: What Are You Passing Down? | A Garage Talk with Your Host, Jeannot

A single sentence can stay with you for decades. In Episode 8 of Garage Talks by Daditude, Jeannot Martineau sits down alone in the garage for another raw conversation about the words, beliefs, experiences, and patterns we inherit, and what happens when we unknowingly carry them into the next generation. This conversation started after Jeannot heard how Garage Talks had caused someone to reflect differently on his own upbringing. One memory stood out: a father catching himself before repeating something his own father had said to him decades earlier. One moment. One sentence. One opportunity to do something differently. That opened the door to a much larger conversation. Jeannot shares pieces of his own childhood, including a seemingly simple comment that changed how he saw his body at a young age, growing up in a broken home, rebellion, substance use, isolation, a serious workplace injury, broken relationships, and eventually reaching a point where continuing the same patterns was no longer acceptable. This isn't about blaming our parents. It isn't about pretending our past determines our future either. It's about recognizing that some of the things we call personality, instinct, or "just the way I am" may actually be patterns we learned long before we were old enough to question them. What isn't examined can easily be repeated. The Spirit of Repair asks us to inspect what we're carrying, understand where it came from, take responsibility for what belongs to us now, and decide what we are going to do differently. Because repair isn't pretending the damage never happened. Repair is deciding what happens next. In this episode: • The power our words can have on children • Childhood experiences and identity • Breaking generational patterns • Trust, loyalty, family, and relationships • Addiction and destructive coping mechanisms • Jeannot's 2008 workplace injury and turning point • Discipline and physical transformation • Learning from pain instead of living inside it • Parenting differently than we were parented • Faith, responsibility, and personal growth • Why honesty is necessary for repair • Choosing what gets passed to the next generation Garage Talks isn't about having a spectacular story. It's about being willing to tell the truth. The garage is the environment. The conversation is the catalyst. The individual chooses the repair. So what's your truth? And what are you going to do about it? Pull up a chair. The garage door is open.

Garage Talks Episode 7: The Garage Is the Environment | Conversations Create Transformation

Why the garage? It's a question I've been asked more than once, and in this episode I finally answer it. Growing up around trucking, repair shops, dealerships, and hardworking tradesmen, I discovered something that stayed with me long after the engines stopped running. The machines were being repaired, but so were the people working on them. That memory became the foundation of Daditude. In this solo episode of Garage Talks, I share my own story for the first time. We talk about childhood, fatherhood, trucking, pride, failure, faith, identity, rebuilding after loss, and the realization that changed everything. The garage isn't just a building. The garage is the environment. The conversation is the catalyst. The individual chooses the repair. You'll also hear the story behind The Spirit of Repair, why I created the Garage Playbook, why I believe conversations create transformation, and why motorcycles have never been the destination. They've always been the invitation. If you've ever felt lost, carried pain you were never meant to carry, or wondered whether your life could take a different direction, this conversation is for you. In this episode:Why garages shaped my life long before Daditude existed.Growing up in a trucking family and what it taught me.Breaking generational patterns instead of repeating them.Losing everything and rebuilding from the ground up.Giving my life to Christ and learning to follow conviction instead of pride. The story behind The Spirit of Repair. Why motorcycles are tools, not the mission. Why conversations create transformation. The purpose behind the free Garage Playbook.Introducing the Garage Reset and the future of Garage Talks.Resources🌐 Daditude Power Sports https://www.daditudepowersports.com 📖 Download the Free Garage Playbook 📰 Read the Garage Journal 🛠 Explore Garage Logs 🎙 Listen to Garage Talks on YouTubeSpotifyApple PodcastsAmazon Music / Audible📧 Email garage@daditudepowersports.com If this conversation resonated with you, share it with someone who may need to hear it. Garage Talks Episode 6: When God Changes Your Direction | A Garage Talk with Darren

Sometimes the greatest changes in our lives begin with a single decision to follow a different path. In Episode 6 of Garage Talks by Daditude, Jeannot Martineau sits down with Darren Damasters for an honest conversation about growing up in the Bahamas, serving in law enforcement, witnessing corruption firsthand, immigrating to Canada, marriage, faith, and discovering a completely different direction for his life. Life has a way of placing us in situations that test our convictions. Darren shares how the experiences that once shaped his worldview eventually became the very things that led him toward a deeper search for truth, purpose, and ultimately, a relationship with Jesus Christ. This isn't simply a conversation about changing countries. It's about changing identity. Together, Jeannot and Darren explore what it means to leave behind old ways of thinking, embrace responsibility, navigate marriage, build a life rooted in faith, and trust God even when the future doesn't make sense. Garage Talks exists because the conversations that shape us rarely happen on a stage. They happen in garages, workshops, around kitchen tables, and anywhere people are willing to tell the truth. At Daditude, we believe: The garage is the environment. The conversation is the catalyst. The individual chooses the repair. Whether you've questioned your purpose, struggled with difficult decisions, felt trapped by your past, or wondered if your life could ever take a different direction, Darren's story is a reminder that redemption is possible, and God often writes a better story than the one we planned for ourselves. Garage Talks Episode 5: Choosing Yourself Again | A Garage Talk with Noelle Gagne

Sometimes the hardest person to choose is yourself. In Episode 5 of Garage Talks by Daditude, Jeannot Martineau reconnects with his cousin Noelle Gagne after more than a decade apart for a conversation about resilience, relationships, healing, motherhood, identity, and the courage to begin again. Life rarely follows the path we imagine. Dreams change, relationships end, and seasons of pain can quietly shape how we see ourselves. In this honest conversation, Noelle shares her journey through difficult experiences, the lessons she learned along the way, and how choosing to move forward transformed her life. Growing up close before life took them in different directions, Jeannot and Noelle reflect on their shared past, reconnect through authentic conversation, and discover how time, grace, and perspective can bring people back together. Garage Talks Episode 4: The Cost of Becoming | A Garage Talk with Danny Gibson

Every meaningful transformation comes with a price. In Episode 4 of Garage Talks by Daditude, Jeannot Martineau sits down with longtime friend and cousin Danny Gibson for an honest conversation about identity, ambition, family, sacrifice, resilience, and the unseen cost of becoming the person you're meant to be. Many people see the finished product. They see the business, the accomplishments, and the outward success. Few ever hear the conversations about fear, doubt, relationships, responsibility, and the personal growth that happened long before anyone noticed. Jeannot and Danny have shared decades of history. They grew up together, supported one another through difficult seasons, and witnessed each other's lives evolve in very different directions. That shared history creates a conversation that goes beyond business and reaches the deeper questions every man eventually faces. Who am I becoming? What is success really costing me? What matters most when everything else is stripped away? Garage Talks exists because the conversations that change our lives rarely happen on a stage. They happen in garages, driveways, workshops, and around tables where people feel safe enough to tell the truth. At Daditude, we believe: The garage is the environment. The conversation is the catalyst. The individual chooses the repair. Whether you're building a business, raising a family, chasing a dream, or simply trying to become a better man than you were yesterday, this conversation is a reminder that real success isn't measured only by what you build. It's measured by who you're becoming while you build it.
