Above and Ahead: The Blessings of Obedience

This episode challenges listeners to live from their identity in Christ — seated in heavenly places and called to be the head, not the tail. This episode unpacks scripture (Deuteronomy 28, Ephesians 2, Romans 8) to show that God’s design for believers is blessing, health, and prosperity when we fully obey and walk in faith. Through testimonies, faith confessions, and practical exhortation, he urges believers to stop climbing up toward God and instead receive what God has already done. The overall message: see yourself how God sees you and live above circumstances.

When the Brook Dries Up: Finding God in Your Season of Change

This episode examines Elijah’s desert-to-widow story (1 Kings 17) as a blueprint for spiritual transition. Rick Shriver explains three reasons God moves people — promotion, protection, and production — and shows how a dried-up brook was not punishment but preparation. Using Elijah’s obedience, the widow’s initial fear, and the miraculous provision of bread, oil, and eventual resurrection of her son, Rick encourages listeners to recognize God’s timing, finish the current assignment, and trust God’s alternative provisions. The take-home: don’t cling to past seasons; passing the test opens the door to your next level.

Transmission of Transition: From Shepherd to King

Rick Shriver unpacks David’s journey as a blueprint for spiritual promotion: transitions happen gear by gear, not overnight. Using 1 Samuel and 2 Samuel, he maps David’s progression from forgotten shepherd to anointed king—found, confirmed, anointed, serving, fighting, and finally reigning. The lesson: God notices the heart and faithful obedience in small things, not outward appearances. Promotions require being qualified through character and experience. Shriver warns against skipping the altar—the place of dying to selfish ambition—and encourages listeners to be faithful in low places so God can elevate them at the right time.

    Transition 4 - Abraham's Change

This episode walks through Genesis 12:7–9 to show how God’s entrance into Abram’s life produced three kinds of change: plans, place, and name. Rick Shriver teaches that God redirects our plans from wrong to right, leads us through physical and spiritual milestones, and sometimes renames our identity to reflect destiny fulfilled. Using Bethel (house of God) and Ai (heap of ruins) as a spiritual crossroads, the message calls listeners to move from family tradition or purposeless living into worship, obedience, and a purposeful legacy. Practical encouragement stresses obedience to past words of God before expecting new direction.

    Transition 3 - Abraham's Gold Standard

Rick Shriver walks listeners through Abraham’s pivotal call as El Shaddai—the God of more than enough—and shows why God’s invitation was about relationship first and blessing second. Using Genesis and Hebrews, he explains why Abram had to leave home, family familiarity, and comfortable routines to receive God’s promise. The message reframes transition as a spiritual necessity, not punishment, and clarifies that “wrong” people aren’t necessarily bad—just not meant for your next season. Practical analogies and personal stories encourage listeners to uproot where needed, pursue God’s rest, and become a blessing to others.

    Transition 2 - Abram's Call to Canaan

Rick Shriver explores Abraham's life as a blueprint for spiritual transition in this episode. Using Genesis 11–12, he illustrates how God interrupted Abram's familiar life in Ur and called him to step into unknown territory—physically, relationally, and spiritually. Shriver emphasizes that following God often requires separation from places and people, trusting God’s promises even when circumstances (like age or barrenness) suggest otherwise. Listeners are encouraged to trade comfort for obedience, maintain a faith-filled attitude during change, and accept that not everyone can or should accompany them on God’s journey.

Transition 1 - What is Going On?

Rick Shriver opens a new series on transition, encouraging listeners to move from comfort to growth as God leads. Using everyday images—postage-stamp mover stickers, a car clutch, and musical bridges—he explains transition as the awkward but necessary passage between seasons. Drawing on Ecclesiastes 3 and personal testimony, Rick emphasizes that God provides direction, discernment, and encouragement during change. He warns against resisting God's gentle tug, urges cooperation with the Spirit, and reassures listeners that promotion often follows faithful service. Expect upcoming messages on Elijah, Israel’s exodus, and Jesus as models for purposeful transition.

    Faith for the Future

Rick Shriver challenges listeners to move from Sunday‑only religion to a daily, kingdom‑minded life of faith. Using personal testimony—from childhood church memories, military days, and ministry moments—he shows how faith grows by hearing the Word continually (Romans 10:17) and by making Scripture personal (rhema). Practical counsel includes finding a specific verse for each need, starting small with believable goals, and verifying testimonies with evidence like medical reports. He stresses spiritual discernment: only what aligns with Scripture is true faith. The episode is both pastoral encouragement and a how‑to guide for living by God’s promises.
