The New Heavens and the New Earth

The Bible does not end with believers escaping creation—it ends with God restoring it. In this final session of the Systematic Theology series, we explore Scripture's breathtaking vision of the new heavens and the new earth. Rather than an abstract existence on clouds, the Bible describes a renewed creation where God dwells with His redeemed people in perfect fellowship. Death, sorrow, pain, and the curse are gone forever, and all things are made new. Drawing from Revelation 21–22 and the closing chapter of Wayne Grudem's Systematic Theology, this lesson examines the physical reality of our eternal home, the resurrection of our bodies, the beauty of the New Jerusalem, and the everlasting joy of living in God's presence. Along the way, the discussion challenges many common misconceptions about heaven and encourages believers to view eternity not as an escape from creation but as the glorious renewal of everything God originally declared "very good." The Final Judgment and Eternal Punishment

Every person longs for justice. We instinctively know that evil should not go unanswered and that goodness matters. Scripture teaches that this longing ultimately finds its fulfillment in the perfect justice of God. In this session, we examine the biblical doctrine of the final judgment, the judgment seat of Christ, the Great White Throne, rewards for believers, and the sobering reality of eternal punishment. The lesson also addresses competing views such as universalism, annihilationism, and conditional immortality before explaining why historic Christianity has consistently affirmed eternal conscious punishment. While the discussion includes the instructor's dispensational understanding of the sequence of future judgments, the central emphasis is far larger than prophetic timelines. The lesson continually points listeners back to the character of God—His holiness, justice, mercy, and grace—and reminds believers that because Christ bore our judgment on the cross, those who belong to Him will never face condemnation for their sins.
