3rd Eye Meditation - start to awaken your insight and intuition

Tonight let's work on energizing our 3rd Eye. If you're expecting to be transported through mystical portals and have futuristic visions, then you'll be disappointed. But if you want to start to receive epiphanies, insight and intuition. Just knowing things. Not knowledge, but knowing. Then this might be the meditation for you.We will work on opening up the base of our spine to allow the energy to rise and then move our awareness to our 3rd eye. We'll breathe into this spot to draw energy into that region before finally moving back down to the base of our spine to make sure we release everything again.Even if you're not into the spiritual nature of meditation, maybe you don't even believe in chakras or Kundalini energy, don't worry, this meditation will leave you feeling relaxed and at peace. But you may notice that your body seems to be vibrating when we're finished. You'll notice that we connected the dots between the base of your spine (root Chakra) and your forehead (3rd Eye Chakra), and now there seems to be a definite river of energy flowing between them.Enjoy, relax, be at peace. Love everything and love everybody. Thanks guys and warm regards,Mat-If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook". The Art of Silent Breathing - use this meditation to develop a tricky breathing skill and maybe notice the true source of the sound

Silent breathing is not as easy as it sounds. And during the meditation process you might even experience your mind making the sounds of breathing rather than you hearing yourself breathe. This meditation technique starts out by deliberately putting a little tension on your throat. Just lightly clenching your wind pipe to restrict the airflow until it starts to make a sound.Focus on that sound for a few minutes, and then release all the tension in the throat to make your breathing silent.During this meditation, you may also experience your mind creating the sound of breathing, and you'll notice that because the sounds don't match the physical sensations. Your breathing will sound normal even though your are deliberately breathing exceptionally quietly. So where is that sound coming from? And that's the real gift of this meditation technique. You'll see your mind creating the world around you.Do it with sound first and then work you way up to vision which is slightly more difficult.Namaste my friends.Mat-If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook". Using Sound as a Gateway to Enlightenment - this mindfulness meditation uses sound as a way to focus but also observe the true source of our experience

Using Sound as a Gateway to Enlightenment - this mindfulness meditation uses sound as a way to focus but also observe the true source of our experience.Sound is such a useful tool for meditation, but the external world is too chaotic, uncontrolled and random. So this meditation uses a simple, repetitive and extremely monotonous series of sounds to draw your attention. The more you focus, the more you will be drawn deeper into exploration of the subtle nuances of the tones. You will then be directed to move your awareness deep within to see the source of that sound.Once you find the source, your experience of that sound changes, but also your understanding of how this system creates the experience of everything that exists around us.Enjoy the discussion at the end. Enlightenment is within your grasp my friends. Just keep trying.Namaste peeps.Mat-If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook". Focusing on Focusing - it's good to go back to basics with this mindfulness meditation directed towards focus

I do this myself. Even though I've been meditating for decades, I still go back and practice the fundamentals from time to time. It helps remove stagnation and complacency. With this mindfulness meditation, we will create a small movement in the body that we are controlling directly. Unlike watching the breathing which can be quite passive in nature. We draw a slow circle in the palm of our hand and focus intently on the sensations. Lessening our pressure to make the sensation more and more subtle. And then pressing on a little harder again if we lose focus. So practicing focus is an important skill. It's like practicing mindfulness in a controlled environment away from distractions. If you're paying really close attention to the sensations, you may realize that you're not focused on the action of doing, of drawing the circle, but on the receiving, the tactile sensations of the circle. If you do that, you may also notice that you're not the one drawing the circle but the one witnessing the circle being drawn.Namaste my friends.-If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook". Bell Meditation - Anticipating the Bell forces you to listen to the silence

If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook". Available on Amazon at https://a.co/d/fomLnY9This meditation produces profound stillness in your being. Simply ringing a bell every minute, your mind starts to anticipate the sound and as a consequence it starts to listen to the silence.Breathe, relax, listen. Breathe, relax, listen. We go through wave after wave of relaxation in this guided meditation, but then at some point, when you are completely relaxed, your mind pays attention and starts waiting for the next ring of the bell. The bell is particularly quiet, so you really have to pay attention and focus quite strongly. But, by focusing on the sound of the next bell, your mind is forced to listen to the silence in anticipation.-If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook". I am NOT the Mind, I am NOT the Body - what does enlightenment actually feel like???

What does enlightenment actually feel like?Understanding the concept that you are not the mind and not the body is easy to grasp. We all feel like we're inside this thing. Sometimes it feels like we're in control like wearing a tight fitting glove, but other times, we're just watching a hand in a glove. When you look at a movie screen, you see people, places and things. You see objects. Even though you know with 100% certainty that none of those things exist in real life. Your mind still goes ahead and identifies Tom Cruise or Nicole Kidman, or a car or a house. But if you can step back and view the screen as a screen, all of a sudden it becomes a flat screen with moving lights and darks and moving colors. That's what enlightenment is like. You no longer see people, places and things. All you see are colors and transition between different shades of lights and darks. The edge of objects becomes indistinct and your mind only perceives one whole thing rather than lots of separate objects.Use this meditation to help get you there. If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook". You are NOT the Mind - meditation to see that you are not the mind #GuidedMeditation

Last night we explored the concept of, "you are not the body", which I think is easier to see and demonstrate. This evening we're looking at the concept that, "you are not the mind" either. You are not the mind and you are not the body. This is a tricky concept to grasp, and I think it's more difficult to get the mind part. When our mind talks, it sure sounds like us. It even has our voice. So naturally, we think it's us. But in reality, your mind is a tool designed to keep us alive, and the conversations you hear running through your head are simply your mind rehearsing conversations to have with other people that either demonstrate your superiority, justify or defend your actions or narrate your actions. This meditation you'll actively stare at your thoughts and observe them as though your listening to someone else talk. Maybe a friend sitting next to you. You'll actively listen to the thoughts but you won't engage with them. Often, when your mind knows it's being watched, it gets nervous and stops talking. Leaving you with a profound silence. If you're serious about silencing your mind, check out my little book, "Understanding Happiness ~ Pocket Companion Workbook".
