Righteous Courage | Trauma, Triggers, Abuse, Boundaries, Healing

Cassey Lynn-Women of faith

Have you done the healing work but still find yourself asking, “Now what?” Do you feel guilty every time you set a boundary with your family? Are old cycles pulling at you even though God has already brought you out? Do you know what God told you to do but struggle to obey when it becomes uncomfortable? I am so excited you’re here! Righteous Courage will help you apply Biblical truth to your everyday decisions, set boundaries without guilt, trust God without having all the answers, and stay free without returning to the dysfunction God brought you out of—so you can move forward into the next chapter He has for you. Hello, I’m Cassey Lynn—a mom of adult children, a warrior in Christ, and a woman of faith. I ran from my childhood trauma for the vast majority of my life. I chased everything from money to men instead of facing the demons that kept me awake at night. At 33, my life stopped. Everything went silent, and the pain from my childhood hit me like a Mack truck. It became so heavy and came on so fast that I wanted to end my life. I was about to make a decision that would have left generational scars not only on my children but also on my grandchildren. God really does leave the 99 to come for the one. I called out for help, hoping someone would find me. God answered me in the way only He could by saying, “Now we heal.” That moment began my journey of healing, but healing was never meant to be where my story ended. God taught me how to apply my faith practically, stop returning to dysfunction, and move forward-and now I'm here to help you do the same.  If you’re a mature woman of faith who has done the work and is ready to move forward with a practical, faith-based plan to protect your peace, stay free, and stop returning to dysfunction, then go grab a snack, pull up a chair at my table, and let’s talk it out together. Here, we talk about Biblical truth, practical faith, and real conversations. Exhale, sis. Let down your hair. It’s going to be okay. We walk by faith, not survival.

Episode 12: Feeling Overwhelmed and Drained? | 3 Ways to Stop Wasting Your Energy

Have you ever looked at your phone, seen the LOW BATTERY WARNING, and kept right on going? 20%... 10%... 5%... Beautiful, we do the same thing in everyday life. Between work, family, responsibilities, distractions, and everything demanding our attention, we can keep pushing without stopping long enough to ask: Where is all my energy actually going? Because being tired is one thing. Wasting the little energy you have left on things that don't deserve it? Ain't nobody got time for that. In this episode of Righteous Courage, we're talking about recognizing your own low battery warning and getting intentional about where you're spending your energy. I'm walking you through my practical Stop–Look–Listen framework to help you recognize what's draining you, decide what actually deserves your attention, and make room for what God has called you to do. Because everything demanding your attention doesn't deserve your energy. Sometimes it needs one simple response: RETURN TO SENDER. 📖 Scriptures: Psalm 23:2 Luke 14:28 Colossians 3:23 1 Chronicles 12:38 ♦️ Reflection Question: What is one thing draining your battery right now that God never asked you to carry? Episode 11: 3 Practical Steps to Get Back on Track | God's Not Done With You Yet

Have you ever looked at where you are and thought, how did I get back here? Maybe you knew better. Maybe God already showed you better. But somewhere along the way, you got off track—and now shame is trying to convince you that you’ve gone too far. Beautiful, God’s not done with you yet. In this episode of Righteous Courage, we’re talking about what it looks like to acknowledge where you went wrong without allowing that mistake to become your identity. We’ll walk through three practical steps: ♦️ Repent — Be honest about what happened and turn back toward God. ♦️ Silence the Noise: Renounce the Lie — Yes, we messed up. But we don’t sign the enemy’s permission slip to tell us that our mistake means we are nothing. ♦️ Make Room for Grace: Replace — You have to put something in the space you’re leaving behind. Otherwise, shame, old thinking, and old patterns will try to move right back in. We’ll also look at what Repent, Renounce, and Replace can practically look like in different situations so you can begin moving forward instead of staying stuck in condemnation. 📖 Scriptures: 1 Peter 2:9 | Romans 8:15–17 Connect With Righteous Courage If this episode helped you, like it, share it, and pass it to a friend who may need this reminder too. Episode 10: Silence Your Flesh | How to Practice Self-Control as a Christian Woman

Hello Beautiful, Do you know what God says, but still struggle with actually applying it? Do you find yourself reacting in the moment and realizing afterward that your flesh got the final say? Are you ready to stop negotiating with what God has already told you to do? Well women of faith, welcome to Righteous Courage. You came to the right place. In the last episode, we talked about setting boundaries without guilt and constantly feeling like the bad guy. Today, we’re turning the mirror around and talking about our own behavior—because sometimes the person who needs a boundary is our own flesh. In today’s episode, we’re talking about how Christian women can practice self-control by applying God’s Word to everyday life. Knowing what God said and applying what God said are two different things. Using the Ten Commandments as our guide, we’re going to practically walk through what it looks like to silence our flesh when it wants to take over. We’ll talk about: What it actually means to silence your flesh Why self-control requires more than simply knowing Scripture How the Ten Commandments still challenge our everyday choices What denying yourself can look like practically Why following Christ requires daily self-governance Jesus tells us in Luke 9:23 to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. Because women of God, you can't put on your crown without taking up your cross. So grab a snack, pull up a chair at my table, and let’s talk about what happens when we stop negotiating with our flesh and start practicing what God has already told us. Stay Connected If this episode helped you, like it, share it, or pass it along to a friend who may need to hear it. We’re already walking this out together applying our faith practically, strengthening our boundaries every day, and refusing to return to dysfunctional patterns. We’re not pretending life is perfect or throwing a cute Bible verse over it and calling it healed. We’re learning to walk it out. https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1HbpKPwEKj/ We walk by faith, not survival.

Episode 9: When Loyalty Becomes Emotional Bondage | 5 Boundaries to Set Without Feeling Like the "Bad Guy"

Hello Beautiful, Do you replay arguments in your head wondering if you were wrong for speaking up? Do you feel guilty after setting a boundary, even when you know something needed to change? Does conflict leave you stuck questioning whether you’re the “bad guy”? Well women of faith, welcome to Righteous Courage. You came to the right place. In today’s episode, I’m sharing 5 boundaries God had to show me so I could stop getting stuck in guilt and constantly feeling like the “bad guy” after conflict. Because sometimes the argument ends—but we stay right there mentally. Replaying it. Questioning ourselves. Feeling guilty. Wondering if we should have said something differently or just kept our mouth shut. God had to show me another way out of this loop. In this episode, we’ll talk about: The 5 boundaries I had to learn to put into place How guilt can keep you mentally stuck after conflict Why you don’t have to keep defending or explaining your boundaries What God had to show me about my own responsibility How I learned to move forward without constantly carrying the “bad guy” mentality This isn’t about pretending we’re always right. It’s about learning what belongs to us, taking accountability for it, and refusing to remain stuck in guilt over what doesn’t. So, grab a snack, pull up a chair at my table, and let’s talk this one out together. And if this episode spoke to you, like, share, or pass it along to a friend who may need to hear it.
