    How Do You Honor Someone Who Hurt You? David, Saul & The Honor in Dishonor | 1 Samuel 24 | Daily Bread

    How do you honor someone who has wounded you without becoming detached, bitter, controlling, or dishonorable yourself? In this episode of Daily Bread, The Mandated Reporter shares a deeply personal study that began with a question to YAH: How do I heal while allowing myself to be vulnerable, yet still guard my heart? The answer led to: “The Honor in Dishonor: King David and Saul.” Beginning in 1 Samuel 24, the lesson examines King David serving under Saul—a leader who pursued him, mistreated him, and even attempted to kill him—while David continued to give weight to YAH’s authority and refused to take Saul’s life. The study explores honor as giving weight to, David’s wilderness training, the wilderness of the wild goats, the Nubian ibex and its ability to navigate difficult terrain, and how rigorous training prepared David to remain steady in dangerous circumstances. The lesson then looks more closely at David cutting the corner of Saul’s robe, the kanaf, and its connection with authority, identity, covering, and the earlier prophecy that Saul’s kingdom would be torn away. Psalm 91 adds another picture of covering: the shadow, protection, refuge, and defense of YAH. But this lesson is not only about David and Saul. It becomes personal. The Mandated Reporter shares experiences of both dishonoring leadership and later being wounded by leadership—along with the lessons those experiences taught her about restraint, repentance, words, authority, and continuing to express hurt without becoming dishonorable. The central question becomes practical for: parents, children, leaders, spouses, servants, and anyone navigating relationships where love, responsibility, hurt, and honor meet. How do we guard our hearts without becoming aloof? How do we acknowledge wounds without retaliating? How do we remain honorable when another person behaves dishonorably?     What Do Your Prayers Reveal About Your Heart? | My Father Is My Teacher | Daily Bread

    What do our prayers reveal about what we truly believe about YAH? After completing the five-part Daily Bread recap on Torah and the Feast Days of YAH, The Mandated Reporter moves into a deeply personal entry titled: My Father Is My Teacher. The lesson begins with a dream involving two people close to her, both trying to clean a house but believing they do not have the supplies they need. Yet in both situations, the necessary provision is already present. One person struggles to ask directly for what is needed. Another wants to do the work but has difficulty reaching the hidden provision that is available. Running alongside these scenes is another startling picture: a woman praying what sounds like a religious prayer while the thoughts of her heart declare that YAH is insufficient. The dream opens a Scripture trail through John 10:28–29, Psalm 90:17, Acts 3:6, and Isaiah 29:13, raising questions about YAH’s hand, the work of our hands, provision, prayer, the condition of the heart, and what we genuinely believe about the Father. Do our mouths honor YAH while our hearts expect insufficiency? Are we striving to produce what YAH has already supplied? Do we overlook what is available because it is not exactly what we wanted?     Truth or Tradition: Why YAH’s Feast Days Still Matter | Torah & Feast Days Recap Part 5 | Daily Bread

    What happens when what we inherited from tradition conflicts with what we read in Scripture? In Part 5, the conclusion of this Daily Bread Torah and Feast Days recap, The Mandated Reporter continues asking a challenging but necessary question: Why do we put down what YAH commanded us to walk in while picking up practices He told His people not to follow? The Scripture trail continues through 2 Kings 17, Jeremiah 10, Romans 12:2, John 10, Galatians 4:16, Proverbs 29:11, and Proverbs 18:13. This episode examines Israel rejecting YAH’s statutes and covenant to follow the nations around them, the command not to learn the ways of the heathen, and Paul’s instruction not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of the mind. The lesson also returns to YAH’s appointed Feast Days and discusses Hanukkah—the Feast of Dedication—and Jesus in John 10, before asking another important question: How many of YAH’s Feast Days do we actually know? From there, the conversation moves into truth versus inherited tradition, the holidays many of us were taught to celebrate, the danger of answering a matter before hearing it completely, and the difference between using Scripture to wound people and allowing YAH’s Word to remove what is harmful so that we can walk in freedom. This is not presented as condemnation. It is an invitation to: pray, fast, read the Scripture for yourself, ask Holy Spirit for understanding, and seek truth even when that truth challenges something you once believed. The episode closes with The Mandated Reporter’s personal testimony of originally trying to prove that Christmas and other traditional holidays were acceptable—only to reach a very different conclusion while studying Scripture and history. And because she had once been loud with what she now understood to be error, she determined to become even louder with the truth she is: mandated to report.     Passover vs. Easter? Leviticus 23, YAH’s Calendar & Unleavened Bread | Part 4 | Daily Bread

    When does YAH’s biblical feast cycle begin—and why does Leviticus 23 start with Passover and Unleavened Bread? Episode 4 of the Daily Bread Torah and Feast Days recap continues directly with Leviticus 23:5.     When YAH commands His people to observe His appointed times throughout their generations, how long does “forever” mean? Part 2 of this Daily Bread Torah and Feast Days recap continues exactly where Part 1 ended: “It’s a mark on our forehead and our hand.” The Mandated Reporter follows that Scripture trail into Exodus 31, where YAH calls His Sabbaths a sign between Himself and His people throughout their generations.     Are YAH’s Feast Days Still Necessary? Leviticus 23, Moed & the Covenant Sign | Part 1 | Daily Bread

    Are the biblical Feast Days simply ancient traditions—or are they YAH’s appointed times that His people are commanded to remember, proclaim, and teach? In Part 1 of this special Daily Bread Torah and Feast Days recap, The Mandated Reporter returns to Leviticus 23 and follows the Scripture trail concerning YAH’s feasts, holy convocations, appointed times, memorials, and covenant signs. The study begins by asking whose feasts these actually are. Leviticus does not call them merely the feasts of a particular group of people. YAH calls them: “My feasts.” From there, the lesson explores miqra as a calling together, sacred assembly, public reading, and rehearsal, and moed as an appointed time, meeting, season, or established feast. The study then moves into Exodus 13 and the command to remember—zakar—the deliverance from Egypt, teach it to the next generation, proclaim what YAH has done, and keep His ordinance in its appointed season. Then the lesson asks a practical question: What do our hands do, and what do our minds continually regard? Exodus 13 describes the memorial as a sign upon the hand and between the eyes. That becomes the foundation for Part 2, where the Scripture trail continues into Sabbath, Ezekiel, Revelation, the forehead, the name, and the mark.
